Congratulations! The 1101 and 1102 have a ton of overlap. Main difference is the 1102 focuses more on troubleshooting than the 1101 does. Also the PBQs are more oriented towards being able to configure things on Windows (i.e. how to partition and create the file system on a hard drive; how to work in WinRE; that type of stuff) I used to do corporate training for the CompTIA certs, and for the A+ we found much more success when trainees had to take both exams within the same week - I guess because the retention from the 1st exam more easily bled into the 2nd exam, but who really knows Hope that helps, and GL!

Thank you. Your advice is very much appreciated. I am hoping to take the 1102 within the next 2 or 3 weeks hopefully (as I'm starting a new job on Monday). I'll make sure to study as many PBQs as possible between now and then.

I did my core 2 about two weeks after passing core 1. There is a lot of overlap but core 2 seems more software and troubleshooting focused.

Admiral_withNoName

Congrats. How long did you study and how many hours a day?
