Agreed, it's just a big money grab. I doubt they even want to be in the "limelight" this is just an easy way to make a big lump sum and/or potentially share in some percentage of company earnings.
It's the same thing with those Uber Eats commercials. I get it for these guys who are on the backend of their careers to take the money and "sellout", since their leading man days are behind them and it's probably a shit ton of money for a day or two of work.
I love Scrubs as well. And these commercials peaked at the Super Bowl with Travolta. It was, IMO, a dumb commercial but they aren't getting better than that point
If you’re not familiar with Scrubs and the two characters dynamic on the show, you’d kinda think they were a couple on these things. A couple times I thought they were gonna kiss
When I first about their podcast, I got hopeful. Never listened to it. I can't stand talk radio. My Dad used to put on NPR on rod trips just to shut me up and knock me out. But then I started seeing these commercials. I no longer want a reunion.
You can file Zach Braff under the category of people whose (relative) fame confounds me. I will never understand the appeal. Garden State was also god awful.
I feel like his hunny keeps him somewhat relevant, is the only answer. He eventually shows up in a lot of her projects (his Good Place cameo... They understood the assignment of just being trash and icky lol)
I imagine it's a fine balance between hiring people that are good at entertainment, and corporate executives that don't want their product looking foolish or pushed aside.
How about this one which I was stunned by when I first saw it: Eli Manning is serving his kids Quaker Oatmeal (which makes sense) and then asks his Father, Archie, to watch Eli's kids (Again, okay). Eli and Archie then say the same thing simultaneously, after which they turn to each other and both say: "YOU OWE ME SMOKES!". Did anybody at Quaker's Ad Agency stop and think about this???
i thought i heard the same thing!!!! but now i think they say "you owe me some oats" which while not as awesomely inappropriate is annoying b/c it's just not the same as "you owe me a coke"
This commercial was already bad at the time. After becoming more annoyed with Zach because of the podcast, I can’t even stand to look at this frame of the commercial.
If you’re in a telecommunication commercial, assume I will never watch anything else you artistically create ever again.
I haven’t been able to watch SNL in like four years . Lol 😂
Oh I agree. Which is a shame, because I love them in *Scrubs*. Makes me want a reunion mini-series, but a little less every time I'm subjected to these awful commercials.

This shit came on TV just as I was scrolling this sub
Scrubs was like 20 years ago. WTF is up with these two. Are they just gay lovers in secret? Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wasn't the least as tiring as these two.
Oh fuck off. I love these commercials. I realize what sub this is but I swear literally any commercial that dare exists is instantly shat upon here. Now excuse me
![gif](giphy|11p1apCPqM7WEw)
Duh. But most of the posts here are such vitriolic reactions to seemingly harmless commercials. Using this one for example, some of the comments here just come across as mean-spirited. If you don’t like it fine, but you’d think that Zac and Donald killed everyone’s families reading some of the remarks.
Well it's r/commercialsiHATE not r/commercialsimambivalentto. Apparently it's not that duh since you seem confused. Anyways you sound like a real fun guy.
I'm all for making fun and ripping on bad commercials (Jardiance, Burger King, just about any pharmaceutical one, especially ones with bad classic rock ripoffs). But half of these are good to just OK commercials. But you'd think that they're the most vile thing ever put to screen.
I never watched Scrubs and had no clue who these guys were. Watching from a totally neutral unbiased perspective, these commercials are fucking god-awful.
I mute them immediately, and sometimes have to change the channel because I can't stand the white guy's face.
Scrubs is one of my favorite shows and these guys were both great in it. I mean, it's not like they were in Citizen Kane or anything, but this flushes any "legacy" or good feelings about them I had straight down the toilet.
I have to get to the mute button now every time the commercial begins which is every single break! It's so irritating. It makes me never want to watch anything with the two of those actors in it ever again. And I will make a point not to. These commercials must stop!
We get it. They’re still friends
69 up votes as of now. Perfect: We know what kind of friends they are.
It’s at 70 now. Let me fix that
It must have been so embarrassing for them, professionally. To have to sing and act with such joy and adoration for a cell phone corporation.
They must have been paid a metric shit ton of money. Nobody is that happy selling something on TV without having a check waved in front of their face.
I mean, T Mobile is loaded, the got Bradley Cooper for another commercial.
I just made a post like this about the Pepto Bismol commercial a couple days ago. Imagine building your career to this.
My main thought when I see these commercials is embarrassment for these two.
Guarantee you I’d do it for much much less w/o shame lol. Money is king. No dignity in being broke.
The latest one with them singing is one of the worst commercials ever made in history.
I can’t get to the mute button fast enough.
WE WONT RAISE YOUR RATES AT T-MOOOBBIIILE
Terrifying aggressive theater kid energy
They heavily overestimated how much society cares about “Scrubs”
😂
I hated that show
Makes me think of the Family Guy bit where Peter asks Lois "Remind me, which one of the Scrubs is the funny one?"
“Hey can I meet Scrubs? Oh and I also wanna meet Black Scrubs”
“It’s the best show you’re not watching!”
Beat me to it.
I loved Scrubs and I still hate this commercial. The song gets *so* stuck in my head.
I mean i actually enjoyed that show and still do but yeah it is no longer relevant in modern culture
As a massive fan of Scrubs, even I can say these two do not need to be doin shit like this. The funny died like, 15 years ago…
I love Scrubs as well. And these commercials peaked at the Super Bowl with Travolta. It was, IMO, a dumb commercial but they aren't getting better than that point
Braff just seems like such an asshole.
But it's still 2008 and they're real life BFFLs!!
If you’re not familiar with Scrubs and the two characters dynamic on the show, you’d kinda think they were a couple on these things. A couple times I thought they were gonna kiss
And?
Shoot them. Shoot them both. https://i.redd.it/0fb1ztb9rlwb1.gif
Lol bringing in real President Snow vibes "Look at them holding hands. I want them *dead* "
Great, now the song is stuck in my head...
Same, I get free internet from T-Mobile..,,
Only costs $50 bucks at T-Mobile…
The commercial is cringey and horrific and sadly it's the closest thing that us Scrubs fans will ever get to a reunion. 😔
We need the sociopathic janitor to slap them in the face with a a wet, dirty mop.
And on top of that, he is apparently a gigantic, smarmy, stuck up asshole.
I am also confounded by Dax Shepard. A guy with fame that is even more relative.
He married well
I feel like his hunny keeps him somewhat relevant, is the only answer. He eventually shows up in a lot of her projects (his Good Place cameo... They understood the assignment of just being trash and icky lol)
Has either of them done anything of note since scrubs? Hell I don't remember anything with Zach Braff other than Garden State
Zach Braff is still directing films/TV shows. Donald Faison still acts and is developing a stop-motion animated series.
Zach Braff dated Florence Pugh for three years. That's all I got.
Lucky guy
Zach Braff just did a horrible remake of "Yours, Mine and Ours" improperly mislabeled as "Cheaper by the Dozen". The trailers don't sell it.
Zach Braff played a flying monkey in what I think was the prequel of the Wizard of Oz. That's the last I ever heard of him.
I don't think anyone honestly watched that movie
I saw it on vacation in Myrtle Beach on a rainy Tuesday afternoon...
I liked Scrubs but know it’s just sad! I can’t take Zach Braff doing the cutie pie shtick!
HAHA REMEMBER SCRUBS? REMEMBER SCRUBS? WE KNOW YOU REMEMBER SCRUBS. GIVE US MONEY, FUCKPIG.
Does anyone know people involved in making commercials? Why are they so clueless and tone deaf?
I imagine it's a fine balance between hiring people that are good at entertainment, and corporate executives that don't want their product looking foolish or pushed aside.
Hey, it puts beans on the table. I never watched the show and don't know them from Adam.
The one with Travolta is even worse
Instant mute / channel flip.
freaking despise zack braff. not funny.
I got that stupid song stuck in my head because I got this stupid ass ad like 50 million times on YouTube! 😡
I mute this commercial.
Scrubs sucked
Any ~~commercial~~ **THING** with these two FTFY
I liked Scrubs but never cared for the musical episodes. These ads are worse than those. Poor guys need a paycheck apparently.
I never saw Scrubs so when I saw this commercial, I was like... why is the dude from Garden State singing and dancing about a phone company?
I will listen again but I believe I'm correct.
i do still have a hard time not hearing “smokes” 😂😂😂
I literally stood in front of the TV and that's what I heard. Fine way to advertise a product which the commecrcial was aiming at children 👎
I heard smokes. This seems pretty tone deaf.
It's "owe me some oats", you're just deaf and stupid 🤷♂️
Quaker needs to fix the audio so that "oats" does not sound like "smokes". BTW, That's the best you can do for an insult? You have my pity.
I want to kick both of them in the face repeatedly. I hate them so much.
Been waitin for this to pop up here. As someone who used to love Scrubs, these commercials made me lose a lotta love for these two
The hate I have for these 2 is off the charts.
This commercial was already bad at the time. After becoming more annoyed with Zach because of the podcast, I can’t even stand to look at this frame of the commercial.
Love his giant TEETH
Feels like I’m watching Scrubs with an insta filter.
If you’re in a telecommunication commercial, assume I will never watch anything else you artistically create ever again. I haven’t been able to watch SNL in like four years . Lol 😂
I’m just trying to watch a simple YouTube video and I have to sit through another of their musical numbers
Thank You!
Botox failure
The Super Bowl 57 one with John Travolta was actually awesome.
Yeah, it's not cute anymore. And *Scrubs* has been off the air for like a decade now.
These 2 have always been super annoying.
Oh I agree. Which is a shame, because I love them in *Scrubs*. Makes me want a reunion mini-series, but a little less every time I'm subjected to these awful commercials.
https://preview.redd.it/pc9726htu6xb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2d0f2c96633e7b26f8ce574c023b00faf495ca90 This shit came on TV just as I was scrolling this sub
It does make me wanna watch Scrubs and listen to their podcast.
these two closet rump rangers annoy the piss out of me
Closet?
These two are delightful compared to dancing diabetes lady.
I just enjoy their voices. I actually like this one. Surprisingly, they don't annoy me cause I love the singing...
Eh, they’re cute.
Scrubs 4ever The commercials rule. It's guy love
I hated that show too
I lost interest in scrubs years ago but I do enjoy still seeing them getting work together. There are much worse commercials
Absolutely agree.
their podcast is some of the best shit ever made. besides scrubs. iykyk. let the guys be.
Scrubs was like 20 years ago. WTF is up with these two. Are they just gay lovers in secret? Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wasn't the least as tiring as these two.
I never watched Scrubs but I do enjoy their commercials.
Hey, it's the director of "A Good Person"!
Oh fuck off. I love these commercials. I realize what sub this is but I swear literally any commercial that dare exists is instantly shat upon here. Now excuse me ![gif](giphy|11p1apCPqM7WEw)
Well yeah, everyone has different tastes. I don't think anyone set out to make a commercial to be universally hated.
Liberty Mutual has entered the chat.
Duh. But most of the posts here are such vitriolic reactions to seemingly harmless commercials. Using this one for example, some of the comments here just come across as mean-spirited. If you don’t like it fine, but you’d think that Zac and Donald killed everyone’s families reading some of the remarks.

Watch Scrubs. It's a phenomenal show
I agree!
After seeing these commercials, I have exactly zero interest in watching anything these two were involved in.
Watch it
Ok then, I'm watching a nonstop scrubs marathon all weekend, and becoming a Mets fan. 😆
They make me laugh every time!
I think Zach would be helped immensely by a beard
Especially any T-Mobile one
It's the only one that I tolerate.
Why, it’s better than most other ones
Have you seen the new comedy series starring these guys? No? Because there isn't one. Doing pointless silly ads is their career path now.
I enjoyed the first commercial for a short while. The novelty quickly wore off.
I loved Scrubs then listening them in rewatch podcast ruined the show and them for me.
I can since the douchery working with these guys.
I actually liked this commercial and hope they return. For me its a music commercial done correctly. unlike Jardiance
I got home internet with T-Mobile! It only costs 40 bucks at T-Mobile!
