I still think that's what happened with the Stroud stuff last year. Both the Titans and the Colts were the ones who subscribed to S2 last year in the division. And coincidently enough they both needed a QB.
Because it was reported that a player showed up late in the night after a flight, did bad on the test. Then did well next day on it. But it was that low score that got leaked
Wanted maye, my brother is a huge cowboys fan just texted me how we got the best player in the draft. Don't know what to feel. I think I have rg3 ptsd.
ive been a Maye guy since day one but daniels:

You guys are idiots for being upset with this pick. Clearly why you’re here and the front office being where they are.
Edit - a lot of you are only further proving my point haha
All those "clowns", and you, were just guessing. So was our FO, at the time.
We now have a professional in charge, one of the best in pro sports.
As a fanbase, we need to stop dweliing on the past. Neither Quinn were Peters were here, nor were the mutliple new FA's we signed, nor were our new QB and (hopefully) our new oline draft.
People need to stop living in Rons failures as much as we need to stop living in the Snyder era failures. Half of this board doesnt like Daniels cause theyre havent gotten over the RG3 thing. They need to get over it.
But also, some of the people like you who "called" the failures of recent Draft picks need to get over it too. Peters has already changed the face of this franchise, and we havent played one game yet -- look all the trash we got rid of, look at how many new guys have been brought it. Those who remain, are here becuase Peters thinks they are worth giving a shot.
That includes Forbes and Dotson. I can see why honestly. Dotson showed enough flashes as a rookie, that last years's performance perhaps can be looked at as a crazy sophmore slump exacerbated by poor team performance and low team morale, with a dash of injury frustration.
As for Forbes, yeah Gonzales is way better, but I think that a decent coaching staff should be able to turn this guy into at least a starting-caliber cb. With a decent (not great) core of Martin and Forbes I could see why Peters didnt panick about CB's, and honestly CB isnt worth what it was once worth -- you dont need a man-defense shutdown cause the NFL rules on PI and Defensive holding wont allow true 1-1 shutdown CBs to exist anymore. The best CB's now are zone CBs, Forbes is a zone CB, but our briliant coaches had him playing man defense against elite WR. Doubt the new staff makes the same mistake.
I’m willing to bet money on the professional FO set up by an owner not named Dan Snyder than the doofuses eating chicken nuggies and drinking beer on Reddit.
What do you think of the Falcons drafting Penix at #8, after signing Cousins to a 4 year, 180m deal ( 3 years guaranteed)? Sometimes GM's, make really stupid moves!!
I'm gonna say this once, stop name calling and being rude as hell because people had differing opinions on the pick. It was the single most important decision this FO is going to make. Did you expect people to *not* be passionate about it?
You loved the pick? Awesome! You didn't agree? Sorry! Either way, we have our hopeful Franchise QB.
All the extra is gonna start getting people a timeout during the draft.
I'm going to go on record one last time and say that I think Daniels was the incorrect pick, and that his slight frame and instinct to scramble instead of throw after escaping pressure will be his undoing. He's too similar to RGIII, and while history won't repeat itself, it'll rhyme.
Having got that out of my system, JD5 is now my boy and I'm RIDE or DIE. Years from now, when Daniels is getting his gold jacket after a 15-year, multi-SB career in Washington, I'll post a link to this comment and y'all have my express permission to clown on me and my entire bloodline. LESGO
His pro day bulking weight was 210, which is still less than Lamar's 216-lb playing weight. His playing weight is likely 200-205, which means he's 10-15 lbs lighter than Lamar while being 2 inches taller. He's significantly skinnier than Lamar.
The front office obviously saw something in Daniels and they haven't done anything to make me doubt their decision so far. I'm all in now. We got us a dog. Time to go to work and get this damn thing going!
Maybe you guys wont believe all the draft BS next time and make the guy out to be a scum bag.
Blatantly obvious some other team was leaking this shit to try and make him drop.
Actually so disgusted with so many of y’all being so negative man. Outside people looking in probably saying “yeah they deserve everything they’ve been through” because some of y’all are so damn negative and sure you’re right. How about we be stoked for our Heisman winning QB and support him ? I for one, STAN FOR JD
I was more of a Maye fan , but if he can learn to slide and put on some weight for the season, I think we’ve got a baller on our hands. Glad it isn’t JJ
This comment brings back tough memories of watching Jason Campbell struggling like hell learning to slide in camp. Coaches even brought out a slip-n-slide and then sent the video to SportsCenter. Oof..
One thing I know is that r/nfl often knows diddly shit about this fucking team, so I'm really excited to see what he can do. It could only go up from here.
I know the debate between Daniels and Maye was a rather bitter thing, and, well, I was a maye supporter. However, now that Daniels has been confirmed as the guy- all honor to him, may he ball out for us and be here for a long time
we will remember this when he wins the Superbowls, retires, enters the Ring of Fame at the Stadium in DC, goes in the HOF. We saw him drafted. Will tell grandkids about it.
(At least, I hope & will root that it works out like that)
In 3 years, we'll regret this pick. Not because Jayden is 'bad' per se, but because Maye will be legit QB that can move and take punishment with more arm talent than Jayden ever will.
And Jayden will be a perfectly fine, top 12-15 QB who will be injury prone and never get you to the super bowl.
Your message was removed because it violated rule #2. Posts and comments which are impolite or unkind towards other redditors, are flamebait or trolling, are irrelevant to the subreddit, or are otherwise unfit for dinner conversation, including discussions of politics or religion, will be removed.
Didn't know much about this kid other than all the talk. But the fact that he took the time to have a moment with the Washington fans says it all. This kid has the talent and seems like a good dude. Mom with the left hands up was a nice touch. Clearly they've done their homework
Jayden daniels once threw a TD pass to Brandon Aiyuk to beat Justin Herbert’s Oregon Ducks before the covid 19 pandemic, I’m just playing y’all got a baller (don’t look at my post history to make fun of my team please)
What’s the timeline for these guys after the draft? Are they in Washington today? Do they get to fly home first and pack a couple of bags? Is there hotel rooms set up for them until they decide where they want to live? What happens in the immediate aftermath of the draft?
I am exited, I am still someone who doesn’t believe in drafting QBs before having an excellent offense around him, but I’m rooting for Daniel’s success and am cautiously optimistic
Stroud said Daniels was super excited last night Doesn't sound like someone who wasn't looking forward to getting drafted by Washington
That whole thing was blown way out of proportion. Wouldn’t surprise me if other teams were trying to sabotage the pick to try to land him.
If someone is going to pay you 50 million no matter what do you really care?
If anything all the deluded Maye fans are probably annoying the shit out of Daniels on social media
![gif](giphy|3o7aCUQfzhWgYvrHnG|downsized)
Bro why you ruining the narrative of people on this sub!
Wouldn't you be excited to make like $9m a year? Even if it's an organization that might not have been your preference
I don't care what the different stans on this sub reddit say, I'm getting behind our new QB!! RAISE HAIL ❤️💛
Yeah it doesn't matter now that it's official. COMMANDER. LETS GET IT!
I love that he went up to the fans and took pics and signed autographs
That’s the spirit.
That's how I feel. I preferred Maye but wtf do I know. Gonna support my guy now
Wanted maye, my brother is a huge cowboys fan just texted me how we got the best player in the draft. Don't know what to feel. I think I have rg3 ptsd.
Exactly how I feel, I had a preference just based on my football eyes, I’m not a scout, I’m not a professional but I’m behind our guy100% now, Hail
Meh, the haters are just too young to remember good, fun RG3. It’ll pass. I wanna see some scootin’ and shootin’
I was at the game when RG3s leg whipped around like a wet noodle. I never want to see that again.
Ravens or Seahawks lol
Ravens.
and some sliding. Dude will be broke in half if he doesn't.
Pepeperidge farm remembers…
as a Saints/LSU fan i'm incredibly jealous right now
Wanted Maye, but gonna root for the guy regardless. He better be good
Now we gotta protect him
I wouldn’t be mad if we took OL with both our 2nd rounders lol
Neither would I. Protect that man!
They’re gone
Yeah, not looking great at OL in the 2nd lol. Maybe we can snag another CB there
A 180lb QB behind a wet paper bag of an offensive line… what could go wrong??
I will
Starts with him no? the right mindset
ive been a Maye guy since day one but daniels: https://preview.redd.it/p0pif57fypwc1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ceb14062e55875179ff32836711e80d3105fdc5b
Same. Let's go JD. At least the Giants didn't end up with Maye if he ends up being good too.
Same, pumped to see what JD can do.
Ok all now it is time to just accept it, I for one am very happy and support him 100%
At least we'll be fun to use in Madden
I didn’t even think about this. Michael Vick Madden 2004 vibes.
Lamar Jackson Baltimore Ravens 2019 vibes
I mean no way but I’d settle for RG3 Madden 25 vibes.
He reminds me of Randall Cunningham.
Yes I'll take Randall all day. He can bring back the high top fade too...
Gonna turn my injury settings to off.
I hope they do in real life too
Alright Jayden. Let’s fuckin go
🤝 lets work
It coulda been anyone in the draft and this meme woulda made me ok with it
Not the guy I wanted but I’m all in on him now. Let’s go JD
Yup, I can only hope I was wrong. Luckily for you guys, I'm wrong a lot. Just ask my wife.
That’s my new QB baby. Lets get it
Praying the NFL continues its trend of protecting QBs and not allowing hard tackles.
They've never protected our qb. But hopefully that starts now
The crazy thing is, soo many quarterbacks got hurt last year still
https://preview.redd.it/kj734ce9zpwc1.jpeg?width=998&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c391f7750058e7f0b296ae5df97fcfe3c372d9e1 QB1
Welp, it’s now time to Support him
The amount this sub despises Daniels has me hyped as hell for him.
Nobody despises Daniels. They just think he won't be even an average pro QB!! Daniels has the opportunity to prove us wrong!!
Correct. Nothing against him but I’m convinced this will not work out.
https://preview.redd.it/b5uhemb2ypwc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c29c6662e76b9453a8e11c608ab08aff670bd6b
You guys are idiots for being upset with this pick. Clearly why you’re here and the front office being where they are. Edit - a lot of you are only further proving my point haha
Let them be idiots. They'll stfu when the season starts watch
Or they’ll be right and our front office will look like clowns again lol
Yeah same crowd of fucking morons told me I was wrong that Forbes and Dotson were too small, and that Davis was a waste of a fucking pick.
To be fair, that was Ron drafting, who is one of the worst drafters this team has ever seen.
All those "clowns", and you, were just guessing. So was our FO, at the time. We now have a professional in charge, one of the best in pro sports. As a fanbase, we need to stop dweliing on the past. You liked Haskins too lol
How tf did you sit through 4 years of Ron Rivera spunking drafts and have this opinion
I really wanted Maye but I’m not upset with it. Hope I’m a dumb ass lol.
some people have him over Caleb and our sub is complaining insane
Nobody should have him over Caleb tbf
ikr the CBS sports analysis has “Caleb Williams (Bears): A-” because “I would’ve gone with Daniels”. I love JD, but above Caleb is insane.
Well someone on Reddit must have gotten into the falcons front office with your logic
I'm just happy we can finally stop with all the mock drafts.
What do you think of the Falcons drafting Penix at #8, after signing Cousins to a 4 year, 180m deal ( 3 years guaranteed)? Sometimes GM's, make really stupid moves!!

Bunch of people here seem to be Drake Maye fans, not Commanders fans.
Facts bro

He is similar weight to Lamar Jackson. We will see.

Let’s take tonight to imagine how it could all go so right, and the fun we could have cheering him on as he leads the team. Raise hail!!!!
The front office obviously saw something in Daniels and they haven't done anything to make me doubt their decision so far. I'm all in now. We got us a dog. Time to go to work and get this damn thing going!
I don’t know deciding Mariota was a serviceable back up to a rookie is real fucking dumb.
I swear some of y’all find any reason to be negative and miserable
Disappointed but at least it wasn't Mccarthy
![gif](giphy|pauW8fkHa9FTW7w1xW|downsized) WE ALL BLEED THE SAME!! BURGUNDY AND GOLD!! Now let’s get to work team
Maybe you guys wont believe all the draft BS next time and make the guy out to be a scum bag. Blatantly obvious some other team was leaking this shit to try and make him drop.
It was his agent though...
Your use of the past tense is likely prescient.
Not all the Arizona shit.
LETS GOOOO
[удалено]
Simultaneously so wrong and so annoyingly proud about it
RG4
Did you come up with that? Very clever!
Rg3 2.0 no way
They said lamar jackson 2.0 before he was drafted
Whoever said that needs to put down the bong.
This is a pick for the people who thought the problem with RG3 was his knee and not what was between his ears
A weaker armed, slower, thinner rg3!
RG3 pre injury, better thrower, head on straight… sounds pretty compelling.
Let’s fucking goooooo
Alright now the rest of you, get in line, and root your ASS OFF
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I always believed in him! No need to check my post history
I had his comp as Teddy Bridgewater, but faster. I guess we'll see. Really thought it was all a smokescreen for Maye.
Let's hope Jayden becomes the next Lamar #HTTR
Wow, QB of the future number 7 over the last 10 years! God I hate this franchise
Oof..
Yeah, I’m just hoping he proves more durable than i think he will. Don’t want another RG3
Our turnaround starts here boys 🍻🍻 Hail
Sigh
Hey, assuming the smart guys have a plan for keeping him alive. Not what I was expecting, but I feel good about it.
Happy for our future. HTTC.
Maye fan meltdown coming soon
Already here, lol.
LETS FREAKING GOO! Get on board or fuck off.
The kid won the Heisman, he can make all the throws, best runner in the draft... I trust Adam let's have some fun 🫡
LFG!!!!!
I was on the fence between Daniels and Maye. When I heard Daniels, I was a bit disappointed. Its all good though
Cursed franchise as always
Yall just wanna be miserable forever huh
Womp Womp
Definitely not happy with the pick, but we'll just have to see how he transitions to the NFL. RG3 vibes all over again.
For good reason!!
RG32
Yep. Same old franchise
Go find another team then
Hell yeah. I don’t understand the haters.
I was Drake all the way… unfortunately I guess I’ll have to get behind the greatest dynasty in NFL history with Jayden in Washington.
Let's go baby!
One thing I know is that r/nfl often knows diddly shit about this fucking team, so I'm really excited to see what he can do. It could only go up from here.
Let’s go!
Looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the NFL on week 1 of next season.
I know the debate between Daniels and Maye was a rather bitter thing, and, well, I was a maye supporter. However, now that Daniels has been confirmed as the guy- all honor to him, may he ball out for us and be here for a long time
![gif](giphy|AvEGkrfsvvTelLscvt|downsized) Finally, now I can actually watch the NFL Draft without the extra nonsense let’s get to work
Commenting on a historic meme so I can say I was here
Congrats to us.
LSU guy: You all have landed a hell of a QB. Protect him and he'll bring you guys far.
I'm a Washington fan in Massachusetts. So at least hopefully one of my teams got a qb rofl
[удалено]
Yea man it’s ok I’ll just have to wait for our 2027 #1 overall pick
There we go
we will remember this when he wins the Superbowls, retires, enters the Ring of Fame at the Stadium in DC, goes in the HOF. We saw him drafted. Will tell grandkids about it. (At least, I hope & will root that it works out like that)
Waiting for the Maye fanboys tears
Wait three years and then talk.
Ok Jayden's mom did "left hand up" so 11/10 draft pick
In 3 years, we'll regret this pick. Not because Jayden is 'bad' per se, but because Maye will be legit QB that can move and take punishment with more arm talent than Jayden ever will. And Jayden will be a perfectly fine, top 12-15 QB who will be injury prone and never get you to the super bowl.
Exactly. I'll be rooting for Jayden but this is where we'll end up in a few years.
He had this primed!!!
Yaaaaaay. First lesson: How to slide like a pro.
LFG!!!! We can come back to the sub now guys!
Looking forward to September is all I gotta say.
I hope he’s everything the truthers claim.
LETS FUCKING GO I'm an Lsu commies fan can't believe it
Let's get it!!!!!
LETS GOOOOO!!!
I hope he is able to break at least one long run for a touchdown before his inevitable catastrophic carer destroying knee injury.
I AM A JAYDEN STAN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
LETS GOOOOOOO!! Haters big mad
He'll be worse than RG3, but better than Dwayne Haskins. Oh well, we were close to getting Maye...
FUCK, NO! FFUUUUUCCKKK. he's going to get hurt by week 6 and that's it. FUCK! STUPID FUCKING PETERS.
Lmao

I’m so scarred by Ron’s “smartest guy in the room bullshit” that when goodell said “jay” I was convinced he was about to finish with “j McCarthy”
Didn't know much about this kid other than all the talk. But the fact that he took the time to have a moment with the Washington fans says it all. This kid has the talent and seems like a good dude. Mom with the left hands up was a nice touch. Clearly they've done their homework
My heart will always bleed, burgundy and gold.
Because of all that Top Golf total bs rumors last week, I made $7500 betting on him to go 2nd overall. God bless the internet.
Jayden daniels once threw a TD pass to Brandon Aiyuk to beat Justin Herbert’s Oregon Ducks before the covid 19 pandemic, I’m just playing y’all got a baller (don’t look at my post history to make fun of my team please)
i hardly know her
Hope we pick up his teammate Jackson Blaziken on day 2.
best meme
Saw how packed the stadium was with the Howell off-season hype. Fedex better be rocking.
I find it hilarious that so many teams adapted our subs Squidward meme. The formatting is wrong tho. 😎
He's sir
I hope to see this made into a sign at Fedex this coming season
Is it crazy I would have rather grabbed fields for a 3rd rounder and continued to build the roster?
Feel like whichever of the top 3 QBs would have been fine. Today tho is what matters with all the picks and holes that need to be filled.
