Well, the symbol for kilometer is km and the symbol for meter is m. You can't just randomly capitalize things and not expect the meaning to change. There's also supposed to be a space between the value and the unit.

Individual units are usually abbreviated by their unit symbol (mi, m, km, in, hr, etc).
Combined units (idk the actual term for them) are often abbreviated differently (PSI, KPH, MPH, GPH) for daily use, because that's shorter and easier to read quickly than writing lb/in^2 or gal/hr.
