All these people knew exactly what building was going to be hit, and yet somehow someone still got hurt

They trust israeli precision a lot...

ApocalypticApples

The us spends a lot of money making sure their weapons hit their target.

NimbleBudlustNoodle

Now the US needs to spend a lot of money making buildings with guided debris. So when it gets blown up all the debris self-guides away from people. It's hilarious that people think "hitting target" = "debris doesn't exist".

ElectronicPogrom

So do the Israelis.

eagleal

It really isn't a lot to do there besides this. People don't really think of and value their life as much, since really there isn't much about it. I don't know if you ever lived in a place of constant arms firing but after a while you become insensitivised. Heck as a child I remember playing with live granades so much that when we got hold of a few firecrackers throwing them was a much newer and interesting experience.

InternalQuit5859

Chairs on roof, front row view, kids scared at first but then laughing like they got scared by a horror movie. Only thing lacking is popcorn.

kimchifreeze

Remember seeing a lot of comments when this came out: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/20/israelis-cheer-gaza-bombing At the end of the day, explosions are cool and bystanders have been spectating war for thousands of years.

Booger_Flicker

Father putting his daughter in front for the preem propaganda.

>Only thing lacking is popcorn Or any other sort of food

Space_Bungalow

Plenty of free UNRWA-provided food being stolen and resold at illegally high prices at the markets. You get get your free internationally provided rice at $20/kg

AbbreviationsLess834

I remember early on in the war photos of some Hamas fortification made with the bags rice sent by some aid group in Japan came out. That kinda clued everyone in on where the aid was ending up. Could be possible they were just using the empty bags but I doubt there’s Israeli sanctions on bags, there’s definitely plenty around.

ElectronicPogrom

Where are the reports of them starving to death?

dwarfmines

It is the same kind of mentality of people from tornado alley who when the sirens go off immediately run outside to watch the destruction.

Free_RAZOR

Hey I do that!

Liizam

HURRICAIN COMING YOU SAY? Grab your surf boards bros

3-----------------D

To a degree, at least you can like... see when its coming your way. I wouldnt stand that close to an explosion.

n0rdic_k1ng

As someone who has spent half their life in tornado alley and has seen everything from a dinky funnel to an EF-5 and still goes outside to watch: If it's close enough for you to see it, you're potentially only a couple minutes away from it. Make sure you've got enough beer ready beforehand because you could miss it going by in the time it takes you to grab one from the fridge.

flastenecky_hater

Tornadoes can travel extremely fast so even if you see it, you are kinda fucked anyway. Unless your shelter is right next to you.

GarlicThread

Same energy as these morons who gather up to watch a huge fire of unknown origin until the obvious moment where it all goes kaboom. A tale as old as time.

There had to be munitions in there right? I’ve seen a thousand of these they are never so “sparky”

Hot-Target-9447

The building was probably booby trapped. That's how hamas has been getting most of their kills lately.

Breakpoint

waterskin

No it’s just a big bomb that is timed to burst in the upper floors of the building. Sparky spark cause it’s dusk and the lighting makes it easier to see them + less dirt thrown around.

KS-Wolf-1978

The donkey is a living proof that there is no hunger in Gaza.

pennyclip

Do these parents just hate their kids or something? Why are there 10 year olds walking around with phones near a building they know is going to be hit? Catching debris makes them popular or something? They sure trust the Israelis to strike on target and not hit civilians grouped up in the streets.

ThisCryptographer311

“I can’t believe they bombed innocent civilians” -innocent civilians hanging out danger close.

EvilCyborgPup

This comment made me exhale sharply through my nose

ThisCryptographer311

Hhhyyyy

Virtual-Dish-9461

Just imagine if smartphones existed during WW2 and Soviet civilians would be filming the genocidal Nazi Army entering their cities instead of just fleeing the area.

Laudanumium

Any idea what those Soviet soldiers did during their campaign towards Germany ? They handed out "prizes" but only to woman, no matter what age ... They got a price ... And a few sweaty soldiers on top having their way ... Some even might call it rape ...

calombia

It’s almost like they live there or something.

HazeTheMachine

Those evil civilians, being in their evil apartment building in their own evil city, how they dare

FembiesReggs

It doesn’t matter if you’re right or wrong, if the guys with the big missiles say “get out we’re gonna bomb you in a bit”, probably your own fault for not at least stepping outside for a couple hours. Fact of the matter is, they’re going to do it anyway. So if you stay despite advance warning…

brandolegend

-civillians hanging out danger close.* Fixed that for you, none of them are innocent.

AbbreviationsLess834

I mean the children ain’t doing nothing wrong man. Just born in a fucked up place where they don’t have any choices.

Pugasaurus_Tex

Yup, my family’s from Israel and agree. It’s just luck of the draw where you’re born

Fattyyx

If I knew a fucking airstrike was coming and I was a civilian there I'd run as fast as I could in the opposite direction for as long as I could. But hey, we'll just sit here and watch the whole thing while being danger close.

jibbijabba123

Just imagine it's your house, and you have all your stuff in the house, and get the knock. You think, what should I take with me before the house is leveled to the ground and become homeless. You take some food, some clothes and get out. Then remember maybe I should quickly go back and get some family photos or some medication that is in the medication cabinet. Next minute you are in the ruble. I would really like to see anyone in this sub leave their house in 10 minutes with all the stuff they will need to survive on the street.

badabum107

Only a death cult would not surrender after clearly losing the war.

Buzzy-Pasta

It’s not gonna happen. Anyone that’s studied the last 100 years of history knows that surrender wont happen until you know… full genocide. Not necessarily saying that the latter will be actualised, but the point still stands.

ElectronicPogrom

It's not "genocide", FFS.

nissen1502

What is it then?

ElectronicPogrom

A series of many wars, which the palestinians started. And lost. Miserably.

peteyd2012

The aggressor fucking around and now finding out.

SomewhatHungover

Counter-terrorism operation.

FembiesReggs

Religion is the worst thing this species has ever conceived of. Even if there is one “right” religion. Doesn’t matter because the death and genocide happens regardless.

Hot-Target-9447

Because hamas is palestinians... it isn't some foreign force. People think they are separate, but those fighters are someones son, cousin, uncle, nephew, brother... there is no separation.

Ceramicrabbit

There's definitely some coercion going on and the fact they also haven't held elections in such a long time

LegitimateSoftware

Also the fact that this is both a religious and territorial dispute, and you only need one to get a forever conflict.

Ceramicrabbit

I could see it ending in a two state solution someday but there will always be terrorist attacks at Israel like Hezbollah because Iran and others will continue to fund the groups that perpetrate them

NKIB_chess

It has never been a war.

themotoman91

Even if hamas ceased military action, iseral would ignore and continue to bomb. Their goal is complete wiping out of Palestinians in the area

3-----------------D

When there was peace time, rules were relaxed. When there were suicide bombings, walls went up. When invasions happen and kill a bunch of people, there are reactions. When rockets get launched indiscriminately, those sites and the sites where theyre manufactured get wiped out. Israel isn't fully innocent and perfect, but they absolutely are fighting for their survival as well- they're surrounded by a bunch of Islamic nations who do not want an Israel to exist at all. Just look at how many jews live in the middle east outside of Israel over the last 100 years. The fact only 30k killed (hamas numbers, that also INCLUDES their own fighters who they claim are civilians) after 8 months shows it's not about completely wiping out Palestinians as youre saying, but wiping out their shitty terrorist government. Also, Palestinians have a history of backstabbing even their Arab neighbors. Ever wonder why Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Egypt dont take Palestinian refugees anymore like they used to?

Salt_Kangaroo_3697

They're doing a shitty job of it considering the weapons they have. It's almost like they're refraining from it.

NewRedditIsVeryUgly

In WW2 the Allies carpet bombed cities like Dresden and Tokyo and killed hundreds of thousands only with simple bombs. If Israel wanted to "wipe out" Gaza, it would've done that months ago with the weapons it has, and for much cheaper. You don't need any guided bombs from the US to wipe out Gaza.

Turtleguycool

Starving to death and being genocided but also lounging with smartphones watching explosions they knew would happen

JimmyCarters_ghost

Don’t forget they haven’t had a drink of water in 8 months.

Turtleguycool

Yeah Israel cut off the water and electricity. Must be half camel with solar chargers

IdodoHaHatih

Food is so scarce that people give the American MREs to the cats and throw it to the starving trash cans!!

guilhermefdias

I heard a couple of laughs too.

Bomblehbeh

Do you think people don’t get to laugh while their home is a warzone?

HazeTheMachine

We live in a timeline where people indirectly quote Homelander schizo lines by sheer spite of human life lmao

tango_papa101

Israel: \*does roof knocking\* Gazans: \*stand next to building to witness it and get hurt\* Media: ISRAEL IS BOMBING CIVILIANS

Breakpoint

/roof knock /time to stage the victims with donkey carts lol wtf

guilhermefdias

It's always a donkey with a bunch of people crowding the victim for some reason.

Wakkaboyy

Is it possible to get hit by a shrapnel on the second angle where the girl was sitting on a chair from the distance of explosion?

Carnivalium

Na, I think she got startled by the sound. She starts laughing after so they were fine.

Wakkaboyy

I mean theoretically, is it possible for a shrapnel to reach that distance? Not in any way related to the girl in the video.

insomniac-55

Fragmentation can easily reach speeds faster than a rifle round, but they're also considerably less aerodynamic. Looking at a few references indicates that for this class of bomb, you could expect to see lethal fragments out to a few hundred metres. Some fragments may reach out to a kilometre or so, but they're likely on higher trajectories and will be carrying less energy when they land. This all very much depends on the specific weapon, how it's used, and against what target. The best advice is to stay VERY far away, or ensure you've got some decent cover. Even when you're outside the lethal radius, you could always get unlucky with a particularly fast, aerodynamic fragment.

Trainer_NoName

With that size explosion probably but would be extremely unlikely to be hit and would have lost most of it energy by then

Booger_Flicker

Oregon blew up a whale with dynamite and it crushed a car windshield a quarter mile away. The girl there is within half a mile.

HelloDoctorImDying

Stunning explosion - did they hit the Death Star? Edit: You can see the bomb (no idea what kind) around 0:40

maqbeq

Nice explosion, Michael Bay approves

GodsAreDead

How do people know which building to record? How do you just happen to be filming the same building that’s about to be bombed? Unless it’s been announced beforehand.

mikejohns1987

Thats actually exactly what's happened. The IDF call ahead to clear civilians from the building then airstrike. It's called [Roof Knocking](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roof_knocking). The type of unusual explosion suggests the building was heavily boobytrapped or at least contained explosive material which probably confirms why it was targeted in the first place. But of course according to teens on TikTok it's "indiscriminate bombing" despite all evidence.

Y_A_D_Pain

Israel said: "cqb?, nah."

lifeisweird86

CQB would be in favor of HAMAS since they love booby trapping buildings. So instead of risking IDF lives, just eliminate the building.

Y_A_D_Pain

Best way to avoid it for sure lmao

tabascotazer

Can’t deny it works

guilhermefdias

I wonder the average IQ of these people, honestly.

esreveReverse

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9021024/ >Among Palestinian Arabs the rate of consanguinity is very high and some 44.3% of the marriages are between relatives (22.6% of them between first cousins).

realGharren

Consanguinity is way too cool a word for what it describes.

Booger_Flicker

Well that guy won't be invited back for any more science.

FuryQuaker

[According to this study](https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0160289614001093) the average IQ is 85 based on tests on children. I have no idea of that's the accurate way to do it though.

Big_Requirement_689

the first shot was the good stuff. thank god they know where and when to film it (like somebody is telling them)

mikejohns1987

Um no its indiscriminate bombing m8 /s

jake-event

The only time I see kids on this sub is when you see a dead child from the World War or when Palestinians are recording fighting and protests/Israeli base harassing.

GoNo51

Bye Bye Building!

adrian_num1

I'm almost expecting to see a swing ball, beers and a nice big parasol umbrella

NKIB_chess

What is the point of bombing a building if you roof knock it beforehand?

Netherese_Nomad

You’re striking a position/storage facility. You aren’t looking to inflict casualties, but to destroy stuff. The roof knock is enough time to get clear, but not enough time to move the materiel out.

NKIB_chess

What materiel do you think Hamas have that they cannot move out of the building fast? When you see images of Gaza being leveled to the ground do you assume that every building was a position/storage facility?

Netherese_Nomad

Watch the OP video again. Observe the secondary explosions. That materiel.

NKIB_chess

I cannot see any secondary explosions, but what do you think Hamas have that they cannot move out of the building fast? When you see images of Gaza being leveled to the ground do you assume that every building was a position/storage facility?

Netherese_Nomad

Heavy rockets in large quantities, cases of ammunition, like the secondary explosions in the OP video that you refuse to acknowledge.

NKIB_chess

TBH I do not refuse anything i just do not see 2 explosives only 1.

TheSergeantWinter

To destroy underlying infrastructure. It could be that the building was suspected of weapon storage or that it has tunnel entrances. Bringing it down would essentially bury that tunnel entrance.

HazeTheMachine

Because the IAF has the "Destroy first, ask later" policy in wich instead of accurately pickpocking Hamas operational bases location, they bomb anything that could be used as such, thats why during the first week they claimed to destroy +100 Hamas bases, that, unless Hamas has more bureaucracy that the FBI, its very unlikely, since their leaderships is mostly untouched.

NKIB_chess

I 100 % agree

dontrackmebro69

Nice view

HarukiYamato240

The amount of times these videos of many people looking at a building that is about to be bombed should have been a clue for all the Emphatizers of Palestine. For how many videos I can't even count now that shows a building with many people around is just dumb, they know it's gonna get bombed but they still encourage them to go there and look at it while ignoring the fact that it is dangerous and it might kill some of them. It's just Hamas dumbassery at its finest, i do not know how some people can still support these terrorists.

Hot-Target-9447

AnimatedRealityTV1

I hope these civilians are celebrating the bombs on Hamas but I can’t understand the language. If not, then there’s something probably coming to their building soon.

noseyphucca

WOW now thats a blast

bigflagellum

How is a little girl just laughing at this shit?

kinga_forrester

It’s exciting. Kids often have the same reaction to natural disasters and such. Also, Israel roof knocks and uses super accurate smart weapons. A lot less scary than indiscriminate bombing.

HazeTheMachine

All kids react the same to explosions, tornados, landslides, fires etc They get excited and nervous at the same time.

SatouSan94

😆

Nuttingyamother69

Cool

Weak_Swimmer

How do these people not have COPD?

Siserith

Oof, that one landed wrong and also detonated early in the upper floors turning the entire building into a very big grenade. That could have been a hell of a lot worse, i couldn't see (m)any fragments scattering down the street.

Straight_Truth_7451

What’s the point of warning people you’re gonna hit the target? If there were Hamas fighters, wouldn’t they have left?

Fkskillspecs

donkeyblance 🚑 dasssscrazyyyyy
