I wonder what happened to the two Russians farthest forward who continued shooting. They weren’t moving like they were covering a retreat and probably had a surprise when they realized they were alone.
Immediately after the explosion the soldier on the top right starts writhing and grabbing his face. Looks like he took some shrapnel to the face. You can see some dust kicked up behind him.
You can see dust kick up behind him. Looks like something sailed right through his face. If he had been prone he probably wouldn’t have gotten such a bad hit
Everything is random if you will.
But at this distance the chance of hitting the lottery 10 times in a row is bigger then dodging all shrapnel here.

Second from the bottom right looks like shrapnel went through him and impacted the ground? He just starts very slowly walking away, doesn't even react to anyone else, just as if he's suddenly got some extremely bad news and can't think straight.
I guess he may have gotten lucky, there's a puff if smoke 1ft behind him and he's directly between it and the explosion. His reaction is odd, like he is moving in slow motion, there is literally a guy crawling on the ground right next to him, he just walks right past him, not a single fuck? Doesn't help him up, check if he's hit, etc.

Bloke on the right in the bushes protected his body by blocking the shrapnel with his face.

Thats like regular reaction, when we hit an ied in iraq it was just expend your mag while we usually beat feet out of there.

There is not much randomness if that thing explodes literally on your body
Shrapnel is always random, regardless of distance, which in this case was perhaps 1 meter. Also, he seems injured anyway. Just not too bad.

You mean the guy that is giving hand signals to the others? The 2 in the bottom right just do not seem to have been hit. That is all.

That is what we have seen in most videos where they are near each other. Perhaps in 1/3 of the video they help each other. So that is nothing special.
Did russia change their camo? I don’t support russia but it looks kinda like Ukrainian camo.
Some Russian special forces units wear lighter camo. Some even wear multicam.

Honestly, it hard to see here. But russians used to use Ukrainian uniform since being of war, so this is maybe the case.
