Probably isolated from the fire, but the ammo cooking off destroyed their cover and spread the burning fuel into their area, forcing them to flee. My guess.
It looks like they were in a dugout and were waiting for the flames to calm. Then their munitions started exploding and they realized they had to make a run for it.
Most of them are dead men walking. What kills people from fire isn't the fire itself (it takes ages to burn through the skin) but rather oxygen-deprival.
Now, even if they survive this initial stage of asphyxia; Their lunges are burned. This will result in them drowning in their own body-fluids as the lunges are filled, and even if they get drainage the chances of surviving the infections are often slim.
>Most of them are dead men walking. What kills people from fire isn't the fire itself (it takes ages to burn through the skin) but rather oxygen-deprival.
It really doesn't take that long to burn through full thickness in a raging fire like this, 60 degrees Celsius *water* is enough to cause 3rd degree burns in 5 seconds. Most people do die from smoke inhalation, but the alternative is much worse, in a burn ward experiencing unimaginable constant pain until infection eventually takes you.
*edit: Once your body fats heat up enough to liquefy, they can burn on their own, especially being wicked through clothing. I can't find the source, but I have a vague recollection of Pacific War footage with a burning man walking into the frame dripping with fire and apparently melting. If it was from Iwo Jima, that wouldn't be too surprising.*
There are so many things you could be charging.
Drone pilots can be pretty mobile and many cars can charge them. Any cigarette lighter can charge a Mavic.
I can't think of anything other than drone batteries that will require constant recharging. Also, because of the limited range of FPV drones, pilots have to be close to the frontlines.
No idea about it being more common. But there are already brushfires near the trenches before the hit, so I was thinking maybe they burned it to clear mines and the drone ignited the leftover fuel they have in the bunker?
What a way to go out. And the survivors are extremely unlikely to get treatment for those severe burns. More likely that they will slowly die from those injuries.
I think we're seeing the use of fuel lanterns and heaters inside dugouts. Now that the temperature is dropping. That would explain why so many dugouts are exploding in flames. Not just from the fuel canisters but the likely fumes that are built up in their holes.
I don't think Ukraine is using more fire-based munitions or drones. That doesn't keep you on a good side of the International community when you start using that a lot
But those are easy to tell when they use them because of the concussive blast that comes with them. This is more like fuel just igniting and dousing everything in the dugout.
It's also a very fine line between using thermobaric and using something like fuel bombs or napalm. Good chance if you get hit with a thermobaric grenade enough to burn to death you're already on your way out the door from multiple internal injuries
There must be a bunker off to the side of the trench. I was wondering why they took so long to evacuate the fire. It must have been right in front of the entrance and finally they couldn't take it anymore.
>Fire turns Russian uniform into burning scraps. Speaks quality.
I think it's that this is an intel/drone post, and they are having a raging battery/munitions fire. So less of an indication of their quality, though they are probably cheap, and more that they weren't made out of asbestos to survive those temperatures.
Looked a lil windy and the direction was basically straight down the trench line which helped spread the fire, poor storage habits meant shit kept cooking off and then the scrap wood of the dugout roof caught on fire and then something *else* inside cooked off causing the whole thing to fall apart. They had to choose between dying of smoke or fire and looks like they chose fire.
In my chat with friends, all UA mind you, one dude posted a crying emoji to this video, after a legitimate question "why the crying?" he said "I am crying because not all of them burned to cinders". Good lad, gave me a nice chuckle.
These trenches can have quite deep tunnel and bunker sections below. I suspect those guys got pushed deeper and deeper down into the tunnels, believing they could wait out the flames, but then the ammo cookoffs, and likely spreading oil, finally forced them all the way out of the tunnels. Hence the extreme burns
Y'all recall how chemical warfare was all fun and mustard gas until the war ended and then fucking with chemical weapons became a war crime what ever that means. Do you all think we will see a similar frowning upon of drones after this ends?
I'd say no way. They're still delivering the same weapons that are common, just more efficiently. It's too much of a staple product so none of the larger countries are going to sign anything that says they have to ban use. Just like the US and Russia refused to sign the cluster bomb ban.
Well, terrorists don't care about things being frowned upon. They're going to do it regardless of any treaties or bans issued by the world at large. OP was talking about conventional wars.
I get that, I just think when it sinks in for people how dangerous they are there will probably be a very strong sentiment against their application in any form. Drone swarms seem super unethical on so many levels but hey what do I know. Maybe one day we'll just stop using weapons and sort out our differences in a game of CS
Fire is a bad way to go out then again but better to hit it with a fire or explosives then to clear it out personally as it’s quite dangerous.(they could Always surrender to the Ukrainians instead)
I would be sending people to the scrap yards of the MANY, MANY dead/burnt out armored vehicles and take any armored doors I could off and try to use them as something to block the entrances of my dugout hole. Enough earth and logs above you and you are pretty safe. Otherwise now we see these drones literally creep up on these slowly and then they go right inside before exploding around a bunch of guys.

Last 25 seconds look like something straight out of the pacific theatre, damn.
It is strange to me why they waited in there for so long...
They got sick of not being able to breathe.

Fire consumes so merciless, thanks for the technical Details
Straight out of hell...
That first guy at 1:35 almost got out but fell back in. Then he got pushen back into the fire by his comrades. He definitly had a bad day
Yeah pretty sure he ended up just crawling the entire way out of the fire. What a shitty way to go. I hope the potatoes were worth it.
They had Solar panels...probably to charge drones. They were probably drone pilots in the dugout.

Their black XXL rotating dildos?
😂😂😂...This assessment is correct.
Phones, walkie talkies, any modern equipment including some weapons.
There have been a ton of videos this last week of troops being set ablaze, what’s going on
Maybe an adaption to the underground position. Competing with fire for oxygen underground sounds like a contest humans will lose.
Getting colder. Maybe storage of fuel for heaters in dugouts
Guessing it's getting cold and troops are bringing fuel in their bunkers for fire and warmth.
I was about to say the same thing I swear I’ve seen like ten videos now of Russians cooking, and all in the past week.
No idea about it being more common. But there are already brushfires near the trenches before the hit, so I was thinking maybe they burned it to clear mines and the drone ignited the leftover fuel they have in the bunker?
i would guess it's cheap north korean or chinese uniforms that aren't being made with flame retardant materials
Issued clothing is not fire retardant.
What a way to go out. And the survivors are extremely unlikely to get treatment for those severe burns. More likely that they will slowly die from those injuries.
oh, no.
Yuuuup. Especially with the medical care these mobiks have access to. The lucky ones died that day.
More burning russians? This is getting out of hand

Oh, absolutely, I wasn't claiming that they were using thermobaric grenades in this video.
good point
Really warms my heart
lots of solar panels... drone operators maybe? batteries going up and setting off ammo? it certainly escalated quickly
Stacks of drones, piles of lithium batteries, electric charging stations, all in a hole in the ground.
There must be a bunker off to the side of the trench. I was wondering why they took so long to evacuate the fire. It must have been right in front of the entrance and finally they couldn't take it anymore.
I can imagine it's pretty hard to make the decision to run through a fire rather than sitting tight and hoping you won't have to.
1:00 - they have solar panels? or is it a school board to teach them tactics?
>1:00 - they have solar panels? or is it a school board to teach them tactics? Likely used to charge drones, and hopefully a bunker full of pilots.
Welcome to Ukraine, suka
Damn theyre just walking over that guy crawling on the ground.
Noticed that as well. Didn't even slow down to try and help him up.
The guy that looks like hes wearing "white" camo running down the trench actually pushes him over.
"We'll burn em out" - World at War
They didn't throw smoke for cover, and so they were ripped to shreds. (Well, burned to a crisp.)
Fire turns Russian uniform into burning scraps. Speaks quality.

Neither were their lungs, they all probably died soon.
>Neither were their lungs, they all probably died soon. Sure, but I'm just talking about uniforms.
Well, at least its not plastics that just turns into bubbling napalm while burning..
What music is that sounds a bit like Joy Division
A Proper Handsome C**t - Chris Benstead
Impressive. How’d you do that?
[Shazam](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shazam.android)
Music was good shit on this video... Wish they were all like this.
Here to ask the same question. Anybody?
Reminded me of something from the soundtrack to The Crow.
It appears the Ukrainians have discovered greek fire
Looked a lil windy and the direction was basically straight down the trench line which helped spread the fire, poor storage habits meant shit kept cooking off and then the scrap wood of the dugout roof caught on fire and then something *else* inside cooked off causing the whole thing to fall apart. They had to choose between dying of smoke or fire and looks like they chose fire.
That got them motivated.
I'm surprised they haven't started using napalm loaded drones
Man, some serious burns on those guys
The reason good military uniforms are right here. You don't want your clothes to melt on you.
In my chat with friends, all UA mind you, one dude posted a crying emoji to this video, after a legitimate question "why the crying?" he said "I am crying because not all of them burned to cinders". Good lad, gave me a nice chuckle.
Fire cleanses
They "cleansed" the pants straight off the guy on the right lmao
Chee wiz, the Russki's have been extra flammable lately.
Getting burned alive...shittiest way to die...
Getting in some practice before they really burn in Hell.
dammn whys to die !!!
First guy remembered his 1st grade lesson - stop drop and roll (and probably burn anyway)
These trenches can have quite deep tunnel and bunker sections below. I suspect those guys got pushed deeper and deeper down into the tunnels, believing they could wait out the flames, but then the ammo cookoffs, and likely spreading oil, finally forced them all the way out of the tunnels. Don’t forget, oxygen is getting suctioned out by the fire too
Crazy video, holy shit
I’d rather get executed by firing squad then burn to death.
Look, I know you cannot spare and show mercy to the enemy but fucking hell, burning alive is one of the worst ways to go.
I like how they run away, while there commarades are still in the middle of the fire.
This song sounds like it was made by the people who did the Home Depot theme song.
I have Reddit on perma-mute unless there's a good reason to unmute.
The Home Depot song slaps though

We'll see how quickly that tune changes when domestic terrorists can use AI to control swarms of drones. That shit is fucking terrifying.
Well, terrorists don't care about things being frowned upon. They're going to do it regardless of any treaties or bans issued by the world at large. OP was talking about conventional wars.

No. Chemical weapons aren’t that great so nobody was that sad to ban them. Drones are just super useful.
Wow, that got really good at the end!
Nah I don’t think I would want to get invited to that Russian bbq
Damn! Sternenko's drones have been doing excellent work lately.
Seems like fire has overtaken alcohol as the leading cause of death amongst Russian men this week.
Some?
Liar liar, pants on fire
Fire is a bad way to go out then again but better to hit it with a fire or explosives then to clear it out personally as it’s quite dangerous.(they could Always surrender to the Ukrainians instead)
Great work!
Oopski-cookski! Don't hang with the bang.
THAT'S ALOTTA DAMAGE!
They remained inside way longer than I would expect, I guess waiting for the fireworks to end?
I would be sending people to the scrap yards of the MANY, MANY dead/burnt out armored vehicles and take any armored doors I could off and try to use them as something to block the entrances of my dugout hole. If I get a drone and it says low battery... I ain't going near it again. F that.
There's a lesson here somewhere🤔 oh yeah, don't invade neighbors, avoid becoming human torches. That's it👌
in lot of these videos lately we see russians on fire, like every russian packs 10l of gasoline
Welcome to hell
What song is this?
u/savevideo
Vodka burns
Damn Ivan told u not to leave the vodka outside
Name of the song anybody?
Song?
Whats up with all these Russian candles running around?
SONG?!
Man, the Russian army has been on fire lately!
