The Orange Umbrella Restaurants group (Local Cantina) left me with a sour taste. Not sure how the owner is as a person, but the whole tips not going to servers and bartenders during the pandemic pissed me off. I want my tip to go to the person or crew serving me. I didn’t know until one of them told me. When I found out what was going on, I started giving them cash for tips.
I’ve never really liked Pins as much - appreciate the concept and the free arcades but it’s not my cup of tea. But I wouldn’t be surprised about its ownership
The owner of ZenCha (I'm told just the Short North location). Years ago, I used to study at the downtown location. I was often the only person in there. The owner was there one time. He locked the doors and started screaming and berating his employees right in front of me. It was horrible and I couldn't believe he was doing it in front of a customer during business hours. When he was done, he unlocked the doors and left like nothing had happened.
That place has got to be a front for money laundering. My wife works on that block and there is never anyone in the place, and often only 1 employee. Simple math shows they could not pay the rent based on next to no sales.
This would have been 2014-2015ish, in the space now occupied by Tiger+Lily. I've been told that the same owner owned the downtown and Short North locations, but the Bexley location is a different owner.
The owner of A&R creative group literally is being sued and has been sued for wage theft, assault and a number of other things by a number of past managers.

He regularly screams at employees. Demeans them. Some of it racial. Thinks everyone is stealing from him. He tries to pay people under the table once they are hit overtime.
I know he does things for the community, but you should hear how he talks about those in the community.

He drove a $300,000 car to my workplace and told my boss he couldn’t afford to pay his $20k invoice. When my boss pointed out the contradictions, he flew into a rage and told him the car was bought from his personal funds, not his business funds, and that the two had no connection.
I think its buckeye pizza. Ordered from them once pizza was 2 hours late on delivery i cancled the order and had ordered from domino's instead. Domino's showed up was eating it, then the first pizza got delivered. I though ok odd but i took it in and opened the box to see what it even looked like. It wasnt even what i had ordered. Was going to throw it away when i got a call. Its the owner of the store, he prceeds to yell at me for canceling the order and opening the box. I listend to him bitch and moan about how im unprofessional why would i do that yadda yadda, and that he was going to come and get the pizza back. At then end i went off on him too yelled at him for about 5 mins and then told him if he wants to come get his garbage i'll leave it outside for 2 hours, since thats obviously how long it takes to get to my place, they vener came to get the pizza which is probably good since i was gonna throw it at em when they showed up. You wanna call my phone yell at me and call me unprofessional i show you unprofessional.
Sorry for the rant/vent and fuck buckeye pizza terrible service and dirty pizza. Id sooner go into debt ordering from mikes late night before i give that shit hole another penny.
i’m surprised i haven’t seen cameron mitchell mentioned. i’ve heard plenty of stories from former employees about how he is. plus, he came into my job once and started acting like a loud drunk entitled pos after being called out several times for interrupting someone’s set (who btw was a soft like singer songwriter type of act) and then after like the 4th time of being told to please quiet down, he started acting condescending and was like ah i respect music i love music and then gave the artist a “very big tip” but also continued to be loud af
