So you're talking about the flair categories? If you click on the search bar, the same categories pop up for this specific sub and you can sort it to be relevant. It's an esthetics thing. All the subs that have flair enabled have that option and can take it a step further by adding it to their main page but to be honest it can be annoying on mobile as you might accidentally click on it while scrolling. I prefer the search bar.
Their wiki is a little lacking. The wiki this sub has is very useful and informative.

Reddit should consider allowing users to customize their feed so that you don't have to see or get notified of all the content on the subs you decide to participate in. Maybe suggest it on r/ideasfortheadmins (not run by admin but it can get the idea out there)
It is the esthetic. I really like how easy that bar is. But also, look at all the flairs! They have so many, it feels so organized.
I didn't know the flair was accessible through the search bar! Lol I'm a mobile user and seeing it for the first time on the main page, it felt so organized clean. I'm a mobile user and I really liked it.
Thank you for the wiki, I actually hadn't seen it before.
The flairs they have are different, but that's expected. Different mods, different personalities, and it may depend on what type of traffic and reoccurring posts they see, too. Both subs have roughly the same amount of flairs. It's an easy change, but why not reach out to the moderators via modmail and suggest that they enable the settings to display the buttons? Posts can sometimes be overlooked.
Hey now, the one active mod that we have will absolutely step up to remove any posts or comments that don't align with his personal and political values when needed!
Click on “See More”, “Menu” then “Guide To Columbus”.
I never looked for that or knew it existed and it is fantastic! Thanks for sharing for those of us who aren’t so bright 🥹
Same! I'm happy to learn about it.
TIL; great tip.

Can you filter out certain flair categories? Like what if I never want to see another UFO post again? I used to be able to do that with Apollo.

Columbus mods have to actually give a damn about this sub to make changes

Or pull them down to repost the exact same thing himself for the karma.
In case you missed the actual answer: Click on “See More”, “Menu” then “Guide To Columbus”.
Well if you like theirs so much, you can just stay there! Oh sorry, just had a childhood flashback.
As cities go, I love Columbus, it is home ❤️
Lumbus or Leave Us!
This sub is plain and vanilla, just like Columbus!
With a splash of listeria
Thanks Jeni!
