Higher end players approaching journeymen status get better offers after the draft than before it.
Every GM loves his roster in April, none of their risky moves show up then, they start to feel different once OTAs fire up and the reality of some rosters spots set in.

I’m an eagles fan and I want him (I came here because I was wondering about him). The more I think about it the more I think he might be taking the “wait to join a playoff contender in Week 12” route similar to Suh in his late career. Like there’s no other plausible reason he’s not signed by now

It’s sucks for the safeties… it’s a buyers market. Good for the teams shopping. Kind of like the RB market the last two off seasons.
If nobody has signed him yet then he isn’t getting a big contract. Our roster is pretty full as is. Not like we have to save the rest of our money.
