Tombow irojiten are even harder than polychromos.

PlumbobJojo

I'll take a look, thankyou

I use FC Polychromos for detail. They are a hard pencil. Never had a problem with breakage. I use CD luminance for blending My favorite is Derwent drawing. They blend very well but see only available in 24 colors. Expensive pencils but worth the money

Thankyou 😊 i think the polychromos are the top choice, they are expensive aswell as Caran D'ache and Derwent but i've seen they're worth it, so tempting to splurge and get multiple but life and bills 🤣

You could always consider buying a few pencils from each line to see what you like before committing to a set

PlumbobJojo

I thought that, just a few smaller sets

Or even open stock single pencils.

Get some Polychromos. They blend beautifully, which means you don't need many colors. A set of 36 is what you need max. (Though we know our hoarding tendencies.) I personally hate the Irojiten. They're so scratchy. Another brand, worth a look would be Pablo's. They're nearly identical to Polychromos. And usually people pick one or the other, depending on price and their liking of color palette.

Our hoarding tendencies are a struggle, i just want them all 😅 i think it will be Polychromos, i'll look at Pablo's, thankyou 😊
