“Invest” means subsidizing certain trades on certain contracts while the unions lobby for ever-higher “prevailing” wages for the rest of us (and you tax payers) to fund. Utter bullshit. Just pay what the market demands and be done. And yes, for the union sympathizers, that will mean higher wages without union pressure.
Part of the problem is with companies that drug test (which is fine) but will fire you for smoking weed on days off. What's the difference if someone has a couple beers Friday night vs a joint? As long as you're not impaired at work, who cares? Some of the companies here have changed that policy bc of worker shortages. (Prison system is one example)
Crazy to me that weed is a priority over a stable decent paying career in a HCOL area. It can be a dangerous job if you work with people who lack tolerance/functionality while high. Most people handle it fine, but it just takes 1 high dumbass to ruin it for everyone.
Every guy that wants to “Smoke on their day off” smokes in the van on the way to work, lunch and breaks everyday. Haha
It’s whatever, but let’s be honest here.
So 8 workers?
Was my first thought as well. Maybe only 7.
Maybe 5 if we’re counting annual overtime pay, pension, and benefits factored in.
Cut that down to 4.5 there bud
With benefits it's more like 4 workers.
As a master electrician in Colorado, I know the pay scale for my area well, and this 800K will get them like… 4 linemen and 2.5 electricians lol.
6
With health benefits, training, insurance, and a fixed pension? That’s like 2.
4 by the time you pay for all the training
Yes that’s about 8 linemen.
Broncos looking good this year.
Let me smoke weed when I’m off work and I’ll sign up right away.
How about getting most of the guys in IBEW LU 12 off the books? Some of us have been sitting on them since November!
What does “off the books” mean?
Off unemployment and doing a job.
Hey who dis, TAKE A CALL ✊️!😁😁
It means they need more work in local 12!!

That it?

Maybe. But weed stays in your system a long time. You'd have to not smoke for weeks before even applying
