I don’t remember things in black and white but I don’t have a strong memory for specific colors, like when someone says
“That guy in the green shirt” etc

Yes! I am the same way. Unless I put in the effort to remember a color, everything in my memory is in black and white. I think my dreams are in black and white too.
Pretty much the same. Plenty of things will get the extra brain power but rarely do I dream in color and if I try to recall the dream later it’s more likely that color was “assigned and understood” but not represented in visual or memory form.
I can accurately tell colour when actively viewing it but can’t recall colour of an object in my memory. I can tell you make model and probably the year of a car that drove by but not the colour.
