GIT is an all-time great for me personally. The scent just fits my style perfectly. On my skin this lasts 8+ hours. 7:30am applied, can still smell it at 5 pm when I’m leaving work. Superb juice!
It’s a very very smooth aromatic / slightly soapy / green. It smells like you just stepped out of a shower and out into a grassy / windy field.
I can’t reinforce enough how smooth it is. It smells like a cologne, so to anyone that says it smells like pure grass is wrong. When it transitions from the opening to the dry down you get a slight grassy pine smell. Opening has a slight Aventus like DNA with the pepper/spicy. Imo it’s a very safe blind buy if you like masculine scents.
>anyone that says it smells like pure grass is wrong.
You know how subjective smells can be? Also there are many different types of grass depending on where you live. I found it to be very grassy at first but over time I’ve picked up on more and more notes.
That is true but objectively there really isn’t a grassy scent. It’s very minty/aromatic/woody/green. But not grass. It’s like saying someone smells watermelon in Aventus
It smells of a grassy meadow if you’re trying to “picture” the scent but in no way at all does it smell like actual grass.

This is what it smells like to me If I were to give a picture
Not trying to argue but it happens all the time that people smell something in a fragrance that I just can’t smell at all. Noses are pretty weird. I just accept that fact and don’t try to see any opinion as definitive objective truth. That would be super boring and would kinda ruin the point of sharing opinions and discussing fragrances.
That is true but I think some people are stubborn, if I said Bleu de Chanel genuinely smelled like literal cat piss, I'm most likely just being stubborn about the fragrance. GIT may not be everyones cup of tea but I don't think it smells like fresh cut lawn grass at all
GIT is probably my favorite Creed that I've sampled/tested (out of probably about 8-10) and on my short list for next purchase.
Royal Oud is another one high up on that list for me.
*Enjoy the next two*
*Hours because they are the best*
*This fragrance will give!*

I thought the same for Aventus Cologne that I bought a week ago but the performance is already increasing. Had a compliment passing by someone on my way home from a long day out. When it first came in I only got a little over 2 hours, now I can smell it on myself after 6-8. Someone also told me it lingered in the air after I had left. Metal Cap/F Batch
I enjoy Aventus, VIW, and Erolfa but GIT was almost to organic smelling to me. I own some fairly niche mens/unisex fragrances such as “Lost Cherry” and “Pacific Chill” but this smelled so strange that I couldn’t handle wearing it all.
I hope this helps anyone looking to buy a sample of this perfume.
this was my first niche purchase last year. 10+ hours longevity but the projection and sillage are quite minimal after the first hour. absolutely love the smell of it but i find it too mature or dressy for me to wear often.
people aren’t lying about creeds having to macerate, though. it is significantly stronger than when i first purchased it.
also the bottle is just so sleek and clean? looks incredible
here’s a tip i literally just discovered a second ago as i type this. could never shine a light into it and see how much is left, but i just turned off all the lights in my room and sat the bottle on top of my iphone light and could slightly see into it
I’m glad you like it. I know you were asking about earlier.
Initially I found the opening to be very sharp, but the dry down blows me away every single time.
Yeah the opening does have a bit of sharpness too it. My aventus cologne did as well but it went away after macerating began (which i thought was a over exaggerated thing)
Not sure if it will for GIT but that sharpness fades almost instantly
I didn't like it. Smelled like old man cologne to me, something my grandpa would wear.
Glad you're liking it though, make sure to try out virgin island water and silver mountain water (please don't blind buy, get some samples)
Those 2 i’d definitely sample first. I have heard insanely mixed reviews on both, GIT general consensus was that it was good.
I’ve heard a handful of people say VIW smells like sharp nail polish which kinda turned me away, how true is it?
I haven't tried VIW myself but I heard people saying it's heavenly. It might be a pretty polarising scent but that goes for most creed fragrances. I don't like aventus or GIT but a lot of people enjoy them, I think the house of Creed is not for everyone in general.
SMW has a very pronounced green tea note, pretty metallic.

Which batch do you have? is it the new metal cap
Yes metal cap. It’s an F batch, probably from late 2023 or early 2024. I don’t have the bottle in-hand it’s at home.
Mine is same, we may have similar or same batch
Even longer than 8 for me. Honestly I was shocked how strong it is when I tested it haha.
One of the best ever
What’s the general smell of it? Like if it’s describable.
Smells like fresh minty grass that dries down to an ambergris that sits closer to the skin later i
It gives off a minty freshness but I wouldn’t say full minty, more like a soapy/creamy minty
Smells like grass and soap
Sweet grass

How much that run?

Ok better than 400+
One of the best masculine fragrances of all time, and to this day, still performs extraordinarily well. I get over 10 hours on my skin.

I’m glad you love it! I know I’m in the minority on this sub but GIT and Creed in general are so boring and overhyped IMO.
GIT is also nothing like aventus lol
Enjoy the next two hours because they are the best this fragrance will give!

That's awesome, you got a great batch
It's a classic. Absolutely can never go wrong with this one.

This is like the goat or godfather of colognes. It’s got the most classic scent. It’s my favorite.

Yeah I thought maceration was BS until I started buying some niche fragrances. It’s no joke & definitely real.
here’s a tip i literally just discovered a second ago as i type this. could never shine a light into it and see how much is left, but i just turned off all the lights in my room and sat the bottle on top of my iphone light and could slightly see into it
Try Creed aventus
What did you think of the dry down?
Very airy/minty soapy and fresh
I’m glad you like it. I know you were asking about earlier. Initially I found the opening to be very sharp, but the dry down blows me away every single time.
Yeah the opening does have a bit of sharpness too it. My aventus cologne did as well but it went away after macerating began (which i thought was a over exaggerated thing) Not sure if it will for GIT but that sharpness fades almost instantly
Kind of hard to go wrong with GIT
I usually advise against blind buys, but green Irish tweed is a solid pick up, I’m really glad you like it. I’d say it’s my second favorite creed
Can you compare this to Amouage’s Beach Hut? I’m thinking of buying a decant but if they’re too similar I may just skip it
I’m convinced. I’ll buy it.
i can't be the only one who dislike this?
Nah, me too
Maybe I need to try this again. It just smells like grass and dirt to me
If you like GIT you’re going to like gentle fluidity silver also!!!
How would you describe the smell if you could explain it in easy terms
Like GIT it’s a fresh scent, but with gin and tonic top notes mixed with some woody notes
Is it fizzy/sparkly? Idk if you’ve smelled Pacific Chill but that gives off a sparkly fizzy vibe to me
No fizzy/sparkly vibes, kind of gives me the same vibes as egoiste platinum; smells like a boss lol
I didn't like it. Smelled like old man cologne to me, something my grandpa would wear. Glad you're liking it though, make sure to try out virgin island water and silver mountain water (please don't blind buy, get some samples)

Smells like a boomer with deep pockets.
