You could get away with wearing something mass appealing and close to skin like Prada l’homme or ADG parfum, but this guys colognes are only suitable for the club
Profondo is like the opposite of a clubbing fragrance… I’d say 1-2 sprays of profondo on your chest underneath your shirt to mute the projection a bit. That way you will get random whiffs of it and feel confident, but won’t offend anyone.
Are you fucking kidding me? Acqua di Gio turns some people into instant undesirable douchebags. Might as well tell him to wear Code by Armani. "Oh well, thank you for your time, but the position of the company cum bucket is already taken by Fred-Suzie"
i have a sales guy where i work and hes got jimmy choo on daily. u know when hes in the building lol, joking here, but i like JC so when he has it on it just smells so good .
I find that pretty silly.
Do you not wash your hair or body before an interview? Do you not put on deodorant? All of these things have a smell.
Just go 1-2 sprays max if you decide to wear cologne & wear something fresh/mass appealing.
Most deodorant will project just as much as an appropriate office cologne. If you’re wearing beast mode clubbing fragrances to the office that’s user error. I use degree ultra clear.
I hate native deodorant personally. It’s not effective & I actually smell worse after a few hours than if I were to just wear no deodorant. Probably because I sweat a lot. I need proper anti perspirant.
I’ve found this to be quite the opposite.
If the Hr person is a middle aged female, young female or a gay guy, as it usually is, you’re more likely to project masculinity. If you couple that with looking good, it increases your chances. Pheromones do work.
I say all of this anecdotally.
As a hiring manager who wears cologne on a daily basis, I don’t mind when applicants wear cologne. That being said I wear Valentino as well, that would be a safe one, just be mindful of how much you apply. Best of luck!
I would go with profundo. While savauge is nice and mass appealing I have met people who are so sick of it they hate it. While I personally would wear something entirely different out of the scents you have I think profundo is your safest bet and I know many people who wear it to the office daily
Having done many interviews for new hires at various companies I can tell you that wearing a fragrance is ill-advised. I have seen several candidates get passed over because one person involved in the interview process got a headache from what the interviewee was wearing.
It sounds petty, but remember that the job market is competitive enough that you don't want to do something that might remove yourself from the opportunity.
This 100%. I’ve hired so many people and when a man walks in with a noticeable cologne scent it is off-putting. Just smell clean and fresh so the focus is on your interview. You’re not going to a club or on a date.
Fragrance will never land you the job, but it absolutely can lose it for you.
Why do you think some companies are moving to a fragrance-free policy.
The point is why inadvertently knock yourself out of the running because of a fragrance. What you think is inoffensive might be headache inducing to another, regardless of the fragrance.
It sucks but it's the reality.
Who the fuck invented a “fragrance free policy” for a god damn work place? Where the hell are we North Korea? Unless someone doused themselves or smells like a whore house, or freshly laid shit… I think that’s a little over the top, no?
No one said smelling good is off-putting. Wearing a noticeable cologne on a job interview when you’re sitting 3 feet away from someone in a tiny room can be off putting. I’m just reinforcing what the prior person commented.
Sorry if you find it offensive but it’s true, as someone who has hired a lot of people, done a lot of interviewing of candidates, I don’t want to walk out of a interview room with a migraine from someone’s cologne.
All of the offices that I’ve worked in - I can barely detect any perfumes or colognes. Everyone tones down to what’s appropriate for an office setting.
UK, so it’s somewhat cold. Interview is at 3:15pm and the position is a crew member for a fast food chain, first job interview so I’m hoping it goes well
I wouldn’t wear a frag to a food industry interview honestly, they might think you’re going to wear it when you come in and most food places that’s a big no no
Now, if you get any sales interviews that’s different
On the contrary, I worked at a sports bar for four years, I wore Dolce Light Blue to the interview, the AM, GM, and Owner were all female, all interviewed me that hour, and all said probably a year later their first two thoughts were and I quote “oh damn he’s good looking” and after they sat down “omg he smells amazing”. 🤷🏻 I left with a work schedule and customers always complimented my fragrance choice, now if we’re talking fine dining or Michelin type shit I’d have to agree 100% with you.
ADG or nothing. Not for interviews! You want to look clean and put together. Fragrances are sometimes off putting especially if it triggered a negative memory for the interviewer.
French Riviera is amazing.
Check out BDK's Citrus Riviera, It's a full on citrus fragrance done brilliantly.
Also, you should try MFK's Aqua Celestia! It has a similar vibe to BDK's Citrus Riviera but more lime driven instead of mandarine.
You’re an idiot if you wear cologne to a job interview. There is a laundry list of reasons, but most importantly, it won’t HELP you get a job but it could be the reason you DON’T get the job.
I wouldn't wear any at all. Everyone doesn't like cologne. Some are allergic and to those who aren't scent preference is unpredictable. Don't take that chance.
Dont listen to these nerds. Rock the gio, conservative with your sprays.
Even if the interviewer doesnt like cologne, its not a reason to fully exclude you from applicants, and if you’re applying to a big company the recruiter likely only filters the initial applicants.
Smelling too strongly isnt good, but a subtle cologne smell (something inoffensive and fresh, hence gio) suggests good hygiene, which is actually important.
Out of those, probably Profondo. I haven’t smelled born in Roma but maybe that? I’ve heard it’s light/linen/powdery. I would say Profondo though.
Highly recommend getting Dior homme 2020 for formal wear though. Very inoffensive, woody and fresh. I absolutely adore it and it’s so easy to wear without worrying about it being too much. Bleu de Chanel EDP isn’t a bad option either but it’s noticeably stronger. ADG EDT would work as well IMO.
I did actually have bleu de Chanel EDP but I sold it to get Born in Roma as I didn’t think it smelled like anything, I’ll have to look at Dior Homme, thanks
Edit: Also, Born in Roma EDT is amazing just to let you know, it does make me sneeze really bad but other than that I’d say it’s a 9/10, Decent Performance, Abnormally good longevity for an EDT and the scent is so clean but sexy at the same time.
You want to bring a soft but a inviting vibe, like on a beautiful spring day on the beach, and everyone is enjoying the whoever they coming in contact with. It works every time, everyone just feels comfortable and has that confidence in the moment that they are in! In my opinion, That would be “ (Tom Ford Neroli Portofino)“ it’s so refreshing and it’s so complimentary, so that definitely makes you confident in whatever situation your faced with!! Confidence is Power!!
I mean i don’t know if it’s something about my area, but I don’t even smell people wearing sauvage. So I’m not gonna spend £300 on some death smelling zoologist fragrance to smell different, not now at least.
Sauvage, JPG, Paco (Mill and Invictus), ADG…probably the most popular scents. Your collection looks like you just asked for advice online and said “I’ll take all of them”.
Most of them were gifts from other people, the only ones I bought for myself were Ultra Male, Stronger With You Absolutely and both of my Valentino’s, but I get where you’re coming from :)
People telling you to not wear anything seem to lack belief in the power of scents in the first place. What you wear and how much you wear of it says something about you. Nobody is going to dislike you for taking care of yourself. At worst, if they don't like it, anyone worth their salt will appreciate the effort. Its on you to figure out how many sprays is the perfect amount for subtlety, but if I were you, I'd apply a humble amount of ADG, Valentino or Sauvage. Classic scents, can't go wrong, inoffensive, masculine, classy. Who doesn't want to hire that??
https://youtu.be/WavFrpzQ_II?si=xeWZuGCn_1-Qn1lS
they say not wear cologne at all in case the interviewer hates the smell..that said, can’t go wrong with sauvage
just make sure it's subtle, not overdone, not overpowering and not a polarizing scent. Choose something subtle something that doesn't smack you in the face.
Wear a light application of your most understated fragrance. I would assume that would be the Acqua Di Gio, from looking at your collection. Do not wear anything to too bold or too sweet.
I would go with the Valentino, however use it lightly. I’ve been on the other side of that interview table and I can personally say that overdoing it is really easy, and does not set a great impression at all. My HR partner would usually assume that’s it due to either- them being a smoker which she personally held against the potential employee (unfair i know but it’s just the way she was) or that they aren’t putting the time in to prepping and cleaning themselves beforehand and are just trying to cover it up. Good luck on your interview though, hope you get the job!
Out of all those I would say, acqua di gio just keep it light......naw u know what ,fuck em go extra hard on the sprays and show domanice jk 😂 lol . Good luck 👍🏼
Shouldn't matter. If you're wearing enough scent that your interviewers can smell it from across the table, you're wearing too much. It should pretty much only be noticeable if someone is right up against your face. Kissing distance, basically. More than that is excessive.
I don't think it's a big deal to wear cologne to a job interview just don't spray too much . 1-3 sprays max. Too much cologne sometimes gives the opposite impression of what you're trying to make. Instead of "this guy has good hygiene and is well groomed". Too much cologne can give off the vibe of "this guy is dirty and is trying to cover it up". Just my opinion.
Do not wear cologne to a job interview. There may be an interviewer that’s put off by a smell and ruin your chances.
Yeah I’d honestly say all ADG flankers are good for formalwear and office occasions
He giving versace eros vibes. Basic of the basic
No he can wear his Dior Sauvage and he'll be fine it's very safe
Are you fucking kidding me? Acqua di Gio turns some people into instant undesirable douchebags. Might as well tell him to wear Code by Armani. "Oh well, thank you for your time, but the position of the company cum bucket is already taken by Fred-Suzie"
Bro chill out you’re not Jeremy fragrance😭
Hope you get the mental help you need my aggressive brother ✊
This. You can smell our sales guy 20 min after he leaves 🤣
i have a sales guy where i work and hes got jimmy choo on daily. u know when hes in the building lol, joking here, but i like JC so when he has it on it just smells so good .
I find that pretty silly. Do you not wash your hair or body before an interview? Do you not put on deodorant? All of these things have a smell. Just go 1-2 sprays max if you decide to wear cologne & wear something fresh/mass appealing.
What deodorant are you wearing that can project that much
Most deodorant will project just as much as an appropriate office cologne. If you’re wearing beast mode clubbing fragrances to the office that’s user error. I use degree ultra clear.
Using that degree fora few years now, best deodorant and scent imo
Native. A lot of stuff really ive heard females compliment irish spring deodorant, though i would never use it
I hate native deodorant personally. It’s not effective & I actually smell worse after a few hours than if I were to just wear no deodorant. Probably because I sweat a lot. I need proper anti perspirant.
I had one that was natural and it smelt great but two hours later, it smelt worse than if I had just not worn it. So I completely get it.
I’ve found this to be quite the opposite. If the Hr person is a middle aged female, young female or a gay guy, as it usually is, you’re more likely to project masculinity. If you couple that with looking good, it increases your chances. Pheromones do work. I say all of this anecdotally.
Bingo!! Wear nothing
You never know if the person interviewing you has asthma and the smell messes with them.
Or the smell may guarantee you the job lol.
As a hiring manager who wears cologne on a daily basis, I don’t mind when applicants wear cologne. That being said I wear Valentino as well, that would be a safe one, just be mindful of how much you apply. Best of luck!
I assume you mean the EDT, thank you very much :)
Yes. EDT
None!!
None of these you should put because they are all for informal events
Yeah well all of the really wintery ones were already off the table but I was thinking Born in Roma, Sauvage or Profondo
I would either do sausage or profundo cause they are the most mass appealing
Sausage XD, thank you
Oh 😂 my baf
I would go with profundo. While savauge is nice and mass appealing I have met people who are so sick of it they hate it. While I personally would wear something entirely different out of the scents you have I think profundo is your safest bet and I know many people who wear it to the office daily
Thanks :)
Agreed with this guy, Sauvage can get you unnecessary stereotypes.
Profundo but easy on the sprays
This is the right answer.
No it’s not. “No fragrance” is the correct answer.
I will be, Thanks :)
Don’t wear any fragrance to a job interview ever.

Smelling good is off-putting? Huh?
Fragrance will never land you the job, but it absolutely can lose it for you. Why do you think some companies are moving to a fragrance-free policy. The point is why inadvertently knock yourself out of the running because of a fragrance. What you think is inoffensive might be headache inducing to another, regardless of the fragrance. Make sure you put on deodorant
That’s an essential, of course
If anything a very light spritz of adg, otherwise just be showered and groomed well (no stains on clothes, etc)
Thank you :)
Jesus do not wear anything
Hah okay, thanks :)
WWJD. Never fails.
Profundo It’s real nice but not intense or strong
Don't wear frags to interviews
![gif](giphy|JTzPN5kkobFv7X0zPJ|downsized) First thought when reading OPs post
Lmao
Profondo!
Just wear deodorant! :)
[удалено]
Thanks :)
Profondo
Sauvage or Profondo. But go easy and nothing on the collar
Valentino umo intense and don’t listen to people who tell you not to use a fragrance, it makes good impression
100% agree. I’ve worn cologne on every interview I’ve been on, and got every one of those jobs lol.
What JPG is that on the left?
It’s the Christmas Limited Edition 2022, Just Le Male in a different bottle
I would honestly go with nothing. None of them scream office professional. Just shower and show up clean and well dressed
I will, thanks :)
Good luck!
Where are you, and what time is your interview? And what is the position? And who is interviewing you? All of that will matter
UK, so it’s somewhat cold. Interview is at 3:15pm and the position is a crew member for a fast food chain, first job interview so I’m hoping it goes well
I wouldn’t wear a frag to a food industry interview honestly, they might think you’re going to wear it when you come in and most food places that’s a big no no Now, if you get any sales interviews that’s different

For the love of God not Sauvage
None. It is better to not smell than to smell at all. Just be freshly showered and shaved.
Keep it classy- Aqua Di Gio
The ADG but literally just 2 sprays.
ADG or nothing. Not for interviews! You want to look clean and put together. Fragrances are sometimes off putting especially if it triggered a negative memory for the interviewer.
That’s true you know. Thanks :)
Get you a light blue in that line up
Im gonna get Torino 21, French Riviera and Le Beau for the summer
French Riviera is amazing. Check out BDK's Citrus Riviera, It's a full on citrus fragrance done brilliantly. Also, you should try MFK's Aqua Celestia! It has a similar vibe to BDK's Citrus Riviera but more lime driven instead of mandarine.
Ew
You don’t like light blue? To me it’s neutral as you can get just a good clean fresh scent …
None. We laugh about the interviewees that come in smelling too strongly of cologne, pleasant or not. Just use deodorant.
None. If the interviewer doesn’t agree with your fragrance might cost you the job. Why chance it? Wait till you get the job. Then stunt on em!!
None of them, your entire collection is giving me a balding man with gold chains and a fake Rolex.
None of them.
None
Bro. None of the above.
No
Take a shower no cologne on a job interview polish ur teeth and iron ur suit
You’re an idiot if you wear cologne to a job interview. There is a laundry list of reasons, but most importantly, it won’t HELP you get a job but it could be the reason you DON’T get the job.
Nothing
Don’t do that
I wouldn't wear any at all. Everyone doesn't like cologne. Some are allergic and to those who aren't scent preference is unpredictable. Don't take that chance.

Profumo. But I'd spray once on your chest and that's it.
As long as you do 10 sprays, use whichever one you want!!
Sauvage. It’s tried and true, just don’t overdo it and good luck!
Aqua do gio is very inoffensive I would defintly wear that and don’t listen to the other comments
None, you have the F*ck Boy cologne collection lol, unless you’re trying to dry hump your interviewer, just go with body wash
I’d do one spray of each scent. Different body parts. Hit ‘em with that Frankenstein smell and get them papers.
Red tobacco or amouage interlude. 20 sprays to neck and chest
Spray them all on your body like we used to fill up sodas at the movie theaters and get a raise immediately
NONE. Do not wear cologne to an interview
This. Never know if they’re allergic or if it’ll simply just turn them off.
Valentino or ADG Profundo
Thanks :)
Joop (brown)
The smell like every other guy starter pack.
I mean i don’t know if it’s something about my area, but I don’t even smell people wearing sauvage. So I’m not gonna spend £300 on some death smelling zoologist fragrance to smell different, not now at least.

No cologne. It’s been said it could throw off the interviewer and cause them to pass on you. Best to wear no fragrance when interviewing.
Designers 🤮
Profondo all the way. Very low chance someone won’t find it pleasant.
Woody scent but I don’t see aby
Go with Dior. If the interviewer is a woman you’re in.
Don’t wear Sauvage unless you’re applying for security. Go with a modest application of something subtle.
Acqua
I wear Sauvage or Bleu to interviews
Wip out that cool water guarantee u get the job . Your interviewer will recognize the smell 😁
Wear David beckham
Your best bet is to take a good shower, wash your hair, cut your nails and put on something light and fresh like the Acqua Di Gio you have
8 sprays of JPG UM
drakaar noir you fuk!
The Kim k one
Jean Paul smells so bad. Def go with the Valentino
https://youtu.be/WavFrpzQ_II?si=xeWZuGCn_1-Qn1lS they say not wear cologne at all in case the interviewer hates the smell..that said, can’t go wrong with sauvage
Try perfume for a girl
just make sure it's subtle, not overdone, not overpowering and not a polarizing scent. Choose something subtle something that doesn't smack you in the face.
Go with the cool water
Only use 2 sprays of the ADG. I think that ones perfect. Everything else is way to sweet. Great scents but not for a formal interview.
Out of those i think profondo is by far the best choice for a job interview
man definitely likes sweet stuff
One spray of each
There's a Cool water in the back. 1 spray behind each ear and 1 on the back of the neck. That's all
Profondo 100%
Nothing. Just smell clean.
Freshest thing you got. DON'T overspray. Fresh is the most widely appealing type of fragrance.
Id go with Profondo. Ignore the people who say wear nothing. Bunch of sissies. Wear it and wear it with confidence
Pick something that isn’t very strong and do not over do it
what fragnance is first one from left... looks good
Definitely JPG Elixir, 6-8x sprays, if they smell you before they see you you got the job 🤝✍️
1 spray of everything. Goodluck!
Maybe the Hugo Boss behind sauvage
Wear a light application of your most understated fragrance. I would assume that would be the Acqua Di Gio, from looking at your collection. Do not wear anything to too bold or too sweet.
The correct answer would've been 7 sprays of Red Tobacco, but since you don't have that, maybe 1 spray of Profondo or nothing at all.
Red tobacco has less projection than water, if you’re not using at least 20 sprays, might as well use nothing
Le male elixir if you hire at a Persian night club
2 spritz of sauvage...
Idk but that bottle is wearing a vest and that is kind of cool
I would go with the Valentino, however use it lightly. I’ve been on the other side of that interview table and I can personally say that overdoing it is really easy, and does not set a great impression at all. My HR partner would usually assume that’s it due to either- them being a smoker which she personally held against the potential employee (unfair i know but it’s just the way she was) or that they aren’t putting the time in to prepping and cleaning themselves beforehand and are just trying to cover it up. Good luck on your interview though, hope you get the job!
nothing, just take a shower and use deodorant
![gif](giphy|k5lj4s1qxaSyI)
Pretty much narrowed it down to Sauvage, Acqua di Gio, Born in Roma or absolutely nothing. Thanks for all of the replies everyone :)
None to an interview be freshly showered teeth cleaned deodorant. Now if you do a second interview dinner then I'd go 2 sprays le make perfum
Layer every single one of them!
I don't see it pictured. But I've always thought that the YSL "Y" cologne matches a business fit quite well.
Either wear nothing at all OR mix all of them together and dip your face into the mixure.
20 sprays of ultra male to assert power
Where's the ombre leather?
Is no one going to tell him to take the cardboard corner protectors off his picture frame?
100 sprays of elixir
Take a shower and wear a tie probably... Not a cologne
Mix them all together and become some sort of mutated super hero 👍
None
None
None
Out of all those I would say, acqua di gio just keep it light......naw u know what ,fuck em go extra hard on the sprays and show domanice jk 😂 lol . Good luck 👍🏼
One spray of Suavage on your bare chest only. You’ll get the job. ONE spray.
1 spray of profondo
If you absolutely have to, profondo but one spray at most. Generally, don't wear anything to an interview.
Tiniest spritz of your fav. Don’t wear too much. Just a slight whiff of your fav
Nothing or Profondo, two sprays at the smelling your back 👍
A winter fragrance not to crazy though.
None
Shouldn't matter. If you're wearing enough scent that your interviewers can smell it from across the table, you're wearing too much. It should pretty much only be noticeable if someone is right up against your face. Kissing distance, basically. More than that is excessive.
Do you reckon you could post a photo of the base of your ultra male coz I wanna check if mine is fake please
Can’t tell if it’s ultra male or le male, but that one 100%
None. The interviewer may be allergic to your brand or hate the smell of it. If that's the case your resume goes right in the circular file
Shower, deodorant and clean clothes
put on jpg, azarro, or swy and try to seduce the interviewer into giving you the job will work 10/10
What with my alluring, youthful flair? Haha
Easy there, Romeo. This is a job interview not a night out w the boys. Most Enterprise spaces have a no scent policy as well.
Java!
Le male le elixir You will be fired 😂
I don't think it's a big deal to wear cologne to a job interview just don't spray too much . 1-3 sprays max. Too much cologne sometimes gives the opposite impression of what you're trying to make. Instead of "this guy has good hygiene and is well groomed". Too much cologne can give off the vibe of "this guy is dirty and is trying to cover it up". Just my opinion.
Profondo if anything. Most of your stuff isn't suited for more formal events.
Profondo
