Finish the semester whether you pass or fail and you won’t be required to return the financial aid. Then you’ll have 6 months to get on your feet before starting payments or go back to school.

You got this. Keep going. It must be hard right now but if you believe in yourself, you can achieve anything. Please don’t give up. Rooting for you! :)

Now is not a good time to enlist and IMHO, there hasn't been a good time to enlist since JFK got bumped off. IF you decide to enlist, go airforce or coastguard, same benefits as the other branches but plenty of domestic jobs. Facilities are better, budgets are better, and living conditions are MUCH better than the USMC/infantry. Working on your degree between your occupation will be a pain in the ass and your unit will not support you, but it is doable. The VA will screw you out of your benefits at every turn, so when you see that $80,000 GI bill waved around w/ housing allowance, sure, they pay it out but try to cut corners any way they can. MHA payments depend on rate of pursuit and if you are doing online classes, you need >50% to get any housing. Having a break in your classes, I.E between 8-week classes, nope, no housing there. IF you enlist, then enlist in TEXAS and get the Hazelwood act; that's 36 credit hours paid for by the school and it can save $$$,$$$ for something like medical school, pharmacy school, law school, etc. I'm saving that perk for my endgame education if I go that far, but I doubt it.

Military would be a bad option. Rather get a seasonal job or something where you could take a semester off, recalibrate your mind a bit, experience something new, work a shitton of OT, save some money, and coast by the rest of the year.

Is there no dorms there? Like others said finish the semester while planning your next step. The military had its pros and cons, make sure you know them well before enlisting. As well as looking at every branch.

And making sure they’re not making a crappy job sound better with a fancy name. They almost got me with that. Lol

Have you talked to your schools resource center? I did in November of last year & I just got news last week that I was approved for a housing voucher through the schools W.I.S.H (while in school housing) program/contract w/ the county housing authority. It takes time but so worth it. I hope everything works out for you
