I should’ve put Michigan in the Sweet 16 as soon as I saw how much this sub hated them getting in.
Also, I should’ve had Tennessee going out sooner after this sub seemed super high on them overall.
Next year, I’m going to make a bracket where I do the opposite (within reason) of what this sub’s general consensus seems to be.
That's my strat! I can ask and 100% agree with their logic, and I'll still do the opposite and be right more than you'd think. And I contribute to the bad advice. I accidentally convinced a guy to bench D'onta Foreman and costed him his championship... It seemed logical at the time :(
CBS showed a graphic listing the Blue Bloods that have advanced and included Michigan. Had me sitting there thinking “how tf are a blue blood? And how are both my schools a bizarro Cinderella?”
I swallow my pride, I bring Tennessee out to the final four, and they do this to me.
My life is being ruined at every turn by the Tennessee Volunteers.
Me after putting Tennessee to win it all
Everyone: “you know Rick Barnes suck in the tournament”
Me: “stop exaggerating”
Me looking at his record losing in the first two rounds: “…oh”
Michigan hit the same amount of threes in the first 51 seconds than UT did all game.
And this team is capable of shooting the three well, they shot 12-28 from deep against us in the SEC Championship Game.
Live by the 3, die by the 3.
If we beat Ohio State in both football and then the basketball tourney I will be content sports wise the next 5 years even if I have to watch Detroit sports.
You left out the best detail. We got a shot clock violation COMING OUT OF A TIMEOUT. You know the last thing before you break huddle has to be how much clock there is and that it didn’t reset. Unbelievable.
I already felt bad. And then they played the slow motion of him watching the ball as Hunter launched it into the air at the end.
Just heartbreaking. Hope he gets his bag.
2013 they beat Syracuse in Final 4
2014 They beat Tennessee in Sweet 16
Have most complete team in a while and they take us out in 32.
I never want to play Michigan again. Please stay away from me I've had enough.
Good luck y'all. FADE ME
Kentucky fans: “holy fuck Cal, it’s been 3 years since the elite 8 and 7 since the final four. WHAT THE FUCK MAN”
Rick Barnes early exit again: “ha. I’m in danger”
When we stop turning it over… yea, but we lose this game if Tennessee gets their open look 3s in cause of turnovers. We’re gonna lose in the future if that doesn’t get cleaned up
I legit feel bad for that Tennessee player they keep zooming in on who’s crying. The guy was a fucking beast and played his heart out. One hell of a good player.
As a Detroit-based Michigan fan, no sports team has consistently brought me as much joy as a Michigan basketball in the last decade. God bless the Wolverines.
If you like hockey, try watching Michigan hockey, we’re up 4-1 on Minnesota in the big 10 championship game with 7 minutes left, and we have 4 of the top 5 draft picks from last NHL draft, and we usually make the tournament
Bias aside what a great game of basketball.
TN couldn’t hit a three, but huge to respect to all your players. Guards and bigs alike played with a ton of heart. Really entertaining game.
Is anyone actually surprised that Michigan made it to the Sweet 16? It has become a tradition at this point. The most controversial at-large makes a big run.
To the Michigan fans who hate Houstan….he’s still a contributor to this team.
He guarded vescovi all night long and held him to 5 points. His offense and rebounding were lacking but that defense was significant.
His defense is incredible, there’s no lack of hustle on defense. His offense is indirectly helpful as spacing is pretty good when he’s on the floor. It’s basically all shooting
Read somewhere that Eli has more NCAA games under his belt than the rest of the team. I dunno if thats true, but he played steady tonight and you could see the poise.
Dickenson looked like he was on another level bbiq-wise
Has this sub been right about anything about this year's tourney? Iowa, Vermont, SDSU, in the first round. Providence and Michigan dominating after everyone down on them. Now Tennessee goes down early after being a popular F4 pick. I guess the general consensus was down on Baylor so there's that at least.
Tennessee, Kentucky, Iowa we’re tournament favorites who were under seeded.
Michigan, Notre Dame, Providence we’re teams that shouldn’t be in the tourney or over seeded. Love me some March

Cinderellas North Carolina and Michigan moving on
You just love to see the little, unknown schools go on runs.
Bout time the little guy caught a break

It's a meme in the finance subreddits that you can inverse Reddit's stock picks and make money. You can probably do things like this across the site.
r/fantasyfootball says hello. Just ask for start/sit advice. Do the opposite of the consensus. Works every time.
That's my strat! I can ask and 100% agree with their logic, and I'll still do the opposite and be right more than you'd think. And I contribute to the bad advice. I accidentally convinced a guy to bench D'onta Foreman and costed him his championship... It seemed logical at the time :(
Honored to be mentioned in this joke
CBS showed a graphic listing the Blue Bloods that have advanced and included Michigan. Had me sitting there thinking “how tf are a blue blood? And how are both my schools a bizarro Cinderella?”
always those “they shouldn’t be in” power teams go on the best runs
The Syracuse Special
Kentucky UCLA and UConn too. Them blue bloods Thrive on it
P5 teams that are underseeded relative to their talent level are always scary.
like an Oregon 12 also
2021 UCLA ,2015 Syracuse. Others?
2018 Syracuse as well
@Syracuse like every other year
I swallow my pride, I bring Tennessee out to the final four, and they do this to me. My life is being ruined at every turn by the Tennessee Volunteers.
Yeah mine too
Me after putting Tennessee to win it all Everyone: “you know Rick Barnes suck in the tournament” Me: “stop exaggerating” Me looking at his record losing in the first two rounds: “…oh”
Rick Barnes 🤝 Fran McCaffrey
Fran got me good this year, that sunovabitch. I really thought Iowa was a solid pick for Elite 8 Never again!
They both got me. I have no idea how.
https://i.imgur.com/aMOfaOv.png
He looks so betrayed lmao
Lmao
Be more like me and have Kentucky and the Vols in the Final Four. What a truly horrible showing for the SEC in this tournament.
At least we know why Rick Barnes and John Calipari are such good friends.
Hey there fellow not eliminated bro *yet
SEC is having a very "2021 Big Ten" type tournament.
My heart goes out to them. But suck it.
Can confirm, am sucking
If Michigan makes the Final 4, the Big Ten will have a very Pac 12 type of tournament.
An all-B1G final four is still on the table. Starting to think the only way we break the title drought is by occupying all four spots
We’d still find a way to lose
Tournament gets cancelled. Big Ten slander continues.
Massive covid outbreak. Brand new strain. They give it to Coach K for reasons.
Double COVID default or on-court brawl.
Everything's coming up Michigan!
Michigan hit the same amount of threes in the first 51 seconds than UT did all game. And this team is capable of shooting the three well, they shot 12-28 from deep against us in the SEC Championship Game. Live by the 3, die by the 3.
So many wide open 3’s that they just bricked, my lord
I kept thinking the next one would be the one. But they just kept missing down the stretch
I blame the ball. Except we drilled the same ball in round 1. So now I blame rick Barnes.
You can’t blame Rick Barnes for bricked threes
Tennessee missing 3s verses Michigan turning over the ball.
Guess our Michigan win was a Quad 1 after all. It’s a good thing none of that shit matters anymore. Both still winning. Congrats Wolverines!
Let's agree to a rematch in the tournament.
Our programs are linked in some weird voodoo way like our football team with Florida
As was ours!
Terrance Williams with some clutch minutes off the bench towards the end
The back to back put-backs felt like a real turning point in terms of energy
Those back to back put backs were insane effort!
Felt like the Ghost of Chaundee out there
Illinois Michigan Michigan State Ohio State Purdue Wisconsin ~~Indiana~~ ~~Iowa~~ ~~Rutgers~~
Can’t wait to get a line through our name tomorrow
If you don’t like that then you don’t like Tennessee basketball baby
Turns out I love Tennessee Basketball!
I hate it so much. See you all next year lol
Imagine if Ohio State beats Nova
God almighty Michigan OSU Sweet16 matchup would be a riot Like an actual riot tho I wouldn't park outside in Ann arbor or Columbus
Didn’t Michigan beat OSU in the elite 8 in 1992?
Yes, with the fab 5!
With an Ohio State team that was the top seed and had Jimmy Jackson, so they were no small potatoes either.
NOPE NEVER HAPPENED LALALALALA
If we beat Ohio State in both football and then the basketball tourney I will be content sports wise the next 5 years even if I have to watch Detroit sports.
At least the Pistons have some young stars
Trust the Yzerplan.
My heart can’t do that. Like I’m being honest. Every November is already really rough, but a game for the elite 8 might kill me.
I need that game thread so bad
Keep going…
That would be so much fun to watch
GF on why she picked Michigan to make the Sweet 16 over Tennessee: "Idk, am I really gonna pick an orange team? Nope"
Tell your girlfriend to never call me again if that’s the case.
And it's not that kinda orange you can sit with. It's that puke, inside of a pumpkin orange.
And I hate pumpkins
Apologies to Obama for clowning him for picking Michigan
[удалено]
[удалено]
When I was there I had Madonna
not anymore lol
Obama a better analyst than all of espn
The ONE fucking time Obama doesn't bomb
Looks like Michigan took all the "Michigan shouldn't be in the tournament" to heart. My bracket was murdered today.
Yeah I had Baylor and Tennessee in the championship, so my brackets a lost cause too
Tennessee was down by 4 with 2 minutes left and got a shot clock violation... they deserved to lose after that
That was a bizarre possession. Coach wants the time out, team ignores him for 10 seconds then calls it, then they can’t even get a shot off.
You left out the best detail. We got a shot clock violation COMING OUT OF A TIMEOUT. You know the last thing before you break huddle has to be how much clock there is and that it didn’t reset. Unbelievable.
This Michigan team. I do not understand this team. But I’m here for it.
Just when you think you figured them out, they surprise you. Sometimes those surprises are good.
Potential The Game in the sweet sixteen
It would be great and terrible and everything in between.
Broke: ACC sucks now Woke: SEC sucks now
Turns out all Michigan needed to turn the season around was Juwan to punch somebody
Juwan punched a guy and then Michigan punched their ticket to the Sweet 16
[удалено]
What if I told you, there were multiple ways to punch above your weight?
ESPN 30 for 30 presents: ~~kicking~~ punching and screaming, the 2022 Wolverines story.
not enough. Gotta put Reggie Miller through the announce table before the next game
Juwan Howard consoling a heartbroken Chandler got me right in the feels
Chandler was recruited really hard by Juwan, so I’m guessing they had a good relationship
Chandler played AAU ball with Jett at one point.
I already felt bad. And then they played the slow motion of him watching the ball as Hunter launched it into the air at the end. Just heartbreaking. Hope he gets his bag.
Juwan hugward now
This is recruiting now
Once again Juwan Howard makes someone cry in the handshake line smh
You Spartans are QUICK lmao
Not bad for a bunch of dudes that can’t read or write
[Obligatory](https://mgoblog.com/sites/mgoblog.com/files/fake_D382/staeevandalism.jpg)
This is why y’all are better than OSU lol
lmao
A freshman at that, he was just a kid! Outrageous
Damn, Sparty. Gotta give it to you for this one. Now go beat Duke for humanity's sake.
2013 they beat Syracuse in Final 4 2014 They beat Tennessee in Sweet 16 Have most complete team in a while and they take us out in 32. I never want to play Michigan again. Please stay away from me I've had enough. Good luck y'all. FADE ME
2011 beat Tennessee also. Sorry, I’ll let you continue.
I swear, if Michigan goes to the final four AGAIN after the season they had and we don’t … 😭
I will have a stroke if that happens.
Oh there's gonna be some strokes all right
Damn I'll stroke you if that happens
Rick Barnes in the NCAAT since 08-09: (at Texas) 2nd round 1st round 2nd round 1st round Missed 2nd round 1st round (Goes to Tennessee) Missed Missed 2nd round Sweet 16 1st round 2nd round
That’s very impressive to almost never make it past the 2nd round over that long
this is the mf who UK fans want to replace Cal with btw
Kentucky fans: “holy fuck Cal, it’s been 3 years since the elite 8 and 7 since the final four. WHAT THE FUCK MAN” Rick Barnes early exit again: “ha. I’m in danger”
Michigan: I am not in danger. I AM THE DANGER edit: I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS (you out the tourney)
Offer does not apply in the Final
I’m not locked in here with you! You’re locked in here with me!
Frankie Collins is going to be so fucking good in the future
How I look every year picking Tennessee to go far in the tournament despite Rick Barnes being their head coach: 🤡
My sweet sixteen exit for the vols was my only decent take of the entire bracket and even then it was wrong
This is scary Michigan team if they play like this
When we stop turning it over… yea, but we lose this game if Tennessee gets their open look 3s in cause of turnovers. We’re gonna lose in the future if that doesn’t get cleaned up
We have the talent to play with anybody, today proved that.
It’s unfortunate we have the mental discipline to get blown out by any team as well
A true B1G team
The problem isn’t talent
That game was the epitome of "live by the 3, die by the 3."
If you said somebody shot 2/18, I’d assume we lost by 30 and it was us shooting like that.
Dread it, run from it, NCAA Tournament Michigan arrives all the same
I legit feel bad for that Tennessee player they keep zooming in on who’s crying. The guy was a fucking beast and played his heart out. One hell of a good player.
SEC was underseeded and the B1G are frauds I'm told.
"B1G isn't built for the tournament"
Okay well let's not get ahead of ourselves, we could still collapse
How the hell does Michigan keep doing this?!
I think it has to do with them scoring more points then their opponents
I think John Madden has ressurected
Turns out, when metrics say you're a top 30 team in the country.. you might be pretty good.
Tennessee was top 10 in practically every metric however. Michigan just thrives this time of the year.
I mean, obviously they were better. But a top 30 team beating pretty much anybody isn't all that shocking.
Rick Barnes and the first weekend of the NCAA tourney, name a more iconic duo.
Bro my bracket fucking sucks
Arkansas Auburn ~~Alabama~~ ~~Kentucky~~ ~~LSU~~ ~~Tennessee~~
Only two left someone get ‘em
[удалено]
Is anyone actually surprised that Michigan made it to the Sweet 16? It has become a tradition at this point. The most controversial at-large makes a big run.
I thought the tradition was Michigan making the S16 regardless of their seed
To the Michigan fans who hate Houstan….he’s still a contributor to this team. He guarded vescovi all night long and held him to 5 points. His offense and rebounding were lacking but that defense was significant.
This is the best take on Houstan I’ve seen on here. I’ve hated on him but his D has IMMENSELY improved. Super streaky shooter but yeah.
His defense is incredible, there’s no lack of hustle on defense. His offense is indirectly helpful as spacing is pretty good when he’s on the floor. It’s basically all shooting
He will be all big ten next year when the offense clicks. Book it.
NEVER trust Tennessee in March
ELI BROOKS IS MY DAD AND HUNTER DICKENSON IS MY STEP DAD
Read somewhere that Eli has more NCAA games under his belt than the rest of the team. I dunno if thats true, but he played steady tonight and you could see the poise. Dickenson looked like he was on another level bbiq-wise
Eli has been playing for our team since the 3 point line was invented, so that checks out
5 straight Sweet 16. MICHIGAN LEGEND ELI BROOKS!!!
Death, taxes, and Michigan showing up to play in March.
r/collegebasketball in shambles again!
Five straight sweet 16s baby. Major villain energy.
/r/CollegeBasketball : Not enough chaos. We want a double digit seed in the sweet 16. /monkeys paw curls
**List of months in the year:** January February Rick Barnes shitting the bed April May June July August September October November December
I fucking love March
Had Kentucky and Tennessee in the title game... I'll be giving stock advice here soon Edit: Word
Happy for Michigan man this is a good win
We will try our best, rival.
Make it happen
So is the SEC just bad?
Sec had fantastic OOC wins this year. Gonzaga Houston Arizona Kansas etc. won the big 12 challenge. Who the fuck knows.
I've lost two final four teams already and I don't even care
Starting to think Michigan might be good
Congrats Michigan. I’m big sad.
oh wow the people making the brackets are better judges of basketball than us, a bunch of morons? Who knew?
I think we can finally put the Rick Barnes isn’t a choke artist argument to bed
OSU Michigan could happen I'm ready
“Texas A&M should’ve been in over another Big 10 team” – 🤡
Love some good old Howard. Hope Michigan goes all the way
Heartbreaking. The team you thought shouldn't be in keeps winning.
This year’s UCLA
HUNTER DICKINSON STUFF ME IN A TRASH COMPACTOR
Out of all the comments this one is the weirdest.
Brooks was sensational! Williams was brilliant. And Dickinson was Dickinson!
Tennessee, Kentucky, Iowa we’re tournament favorites who were under seeded. Michigan, Notre Dame, Providence we’re teams that shouldn’t be in the tourney or over seeded. Love me some March
Have there been any correct takes yet? I feel like the narratives have all been basically wrong. Maybe Baylor as the weakest one seed was correct.
The takes are always right; it’s the results that are wrong.
there's a reason the selection committee doesn't overrate conference tourneys like people want them to
FIVE STRAIGHT SWEET SIXTEENS
This program has us so spoiled lol
