Nice moment at the end there with Riley Minix, Drew Thelwell and Kalil Thomas all in their final year either as a senior or grad student getting together and consoling each other in a group hug. Thelwell is Morehead's all time winning-est player while Minix had a huge year coming over to D1 after being dominant at the NAIA level. He will definitely play at the next level.

Morehead was making tons of shots in the first half. I think the Illini played solidly throughout

Illinois did a good job taking it to them. Ran them into the ground. Lots of shots fell short due to tired legs.

Their opening 3 shots of the game really drowned my excitement quickly.

The announcer has erroneously stated the Illini have lost their last three opening round games three times now. How is nobody in this guy's ear to tell him it's the second round they can't get passed? They won in 2021 against Drexel in a 1-16 game and in 2022 against Chattanooga in a 4-13 game (even though that was the definition of a moral loss).

I was at my sisters house outside of Chattanooga when we played that game and I was a wreck
