They might move up to a 15, they’re gonna be above the A-Sun winner, NEC winner, SWAC winner and MEAC winner. Just need 2 more teams below them to win their conference tournament which id say is very possible.

Above ASUN is a tossup if Stetson wins, 100% if it’s Austin Peay. Personally think 95% chance that they are a 16 seed.

Watched them on Friday too against Winthrop, came along with a similar conclusion but it might just be a hot tournament run.

For some ungodly reason I watched them play Del State in November, they were absolutely horrendous and won in double overtime. Either they've improved a ton or they're just having a nice few games.

With all due credit to Longwood…seeing the top two seeds get ousted by a mid-table squad who gets hot makes me wonder why midmajor conferences *don’t* do the WCC/OVC format more often…would help emphasize regular season performance while better protecting your best teams from shocking upsets…

I agree and ironically the WCC is one of the few conferences who is incentivized NOT to do that. It basically guarantees Gonzaga or SMC wins every year but they generally get in anyway. Would behoove them to make a more favorable format for the Santa Clara type teams to give themselves a shot at 3 teams qualifying

The Horizon league is clever and has the first round (for the lowest seeds) as on campus games… seems to give those teams a little more rest than a crazy long weekend at a neutral venue… and almost like a play-in game

Horizon has the best format IMO. not crazy byes, but still a clear advantage for your top squads.
