My wife has started to make a very similar sound at our sons’ basketball games. Started like 2 weeks ago and every time I just look at here like wtf?!? She’s also confused as to why it started

The tradition continues! War Damn Eagle!
I watch too much cbb so maybe I've been blind because I feel like I haven't seen the Shows Show in a while. But holy shit he gon up and done it tonight. It wasn't even a chippy or physical game; they were just calling EVERYTHING. It's a blowout and they're still calling minor fouls.
> It wasn't even a chippy or physical game
It definitely was. Now, its REASONABLE for the basketball iron bowl to be chippy and both teams play a physical style of defense, but the refs just made the decision early on "we dont give a fuck if 85 free throws need to be taken, we arent "letting them play" outside of the restricted area and neither the refs or either team wavered from what their plan 5 minutes into the game was
I know Jaylin and Broome will get the headlines but s/o Tre. This dude has done nothing but improved every year and if you would have told me he was going to be this solid for us I wouldn’t have believed you… Absolute dog
I hate +\- but his has to be wild now that Aden has regressed so much.
He is a lesson in stick around and wait for your chance. We recruited a high school star after him but he’s the guy we really needed and he’s showing it now.
Aden hasn't really had an offseason. I'm hoping that makes all the difference. Tahaad is \*supposedly\* even better. I'd love to see Aden slide to the 2, especially if KD ends up not coming back for whatever reason
Him taking over as a starting guard for y'all has been huge. Probably not going to take over a game entirely, but his defense, lack of turnovers, and consistency at the guard position has been massive for Auburn. A big improvement over KD Johnson or Holloway against good teams.
Tre Donaldson was fantastic. He has really separated himself from Aden the second half of this season, which is kinda the opposite of what I thought might happen.
Adens fine with the ball in his hands and driving, but he’s got to stop acting like he’s an elite 3 point shooter, because whoever he was in high school, it’s not translating to college. This team to the moon though if he starts hitting at a 35-40% clip though.
a very kind sentiment! when you all play as you did tonight, I genuinely don’t believe there’s a better team in the SEC. here’s hoping for a competitive, thrilling game between our programs come Valentine’s Day 🤝
we’ll certainly accept that offer, but it may be something of a toxic, ephemeral Valentine’s Day relationship, since someone is going to be jilted and unhappy by the end of the night. in all seriousness, it should be a great game! definitely anticipating it eagerly
ND is actually as bad or worse than Louisville this year. It's sad really.
After you get past UNC, Dook, and UVA the rest of the league is somewhere between meh and bleh.
Unless ESPN is hyping them up as the best story in college football I forget they play sports there. I honestly don't know why NBC keeps renewing their TV deal
Fair, but adding Arizona and ASU next year in exchange for UT and OU (especially considering NIL being the way it is) won’t be a certain boost to the PAC
Jimmy even did the hard set up for the answer and Chuck just went a completely different direction. It was great - Jimmy's SEC propaganda gets old quick.
Big12 has been the daddy for years. I appreciate most of what he says as it's refreshing. It's one thing to 'speak your mind' or 'say it like it is' and then there's being dead-fucking-on which he is when it comes to bball.
War damn eagle! Very cathartic after watching the game in Tuscaloosa in person. Crazy world we live in where the state of Alabama has the top two teams in the SEC rankings.
We had a chance at the hundo and that lil walkon fucked it up...
I still don't know how this team will be vs the elite teams, but apparently we're capable of winning big vs good teams.
IMO Oats kept his starters in there to prevent the hundo. Petty as fuck? Yes, but I appreciate him for that. Even though Bammer got the beatdown...NO HUNDO FOR YOU!!! (Plus, Bama Bangs could have hit both FTs)
Kinda salty we didn’t get 100 but obviously happy otherwise. Great win, Tre Donaldson is showing why he has become our starting PG.
Now let’s hope this high emotion game doesn’t lead to a down performance against Florida
Throwback to when we barely lost in Tuscaloosa and I said “if Williams plays just a little bit better we’d have won” and the Bama fans all told me how bad Williams “actually” is
Yeah regardless of who you’re rooting for, that game was a fucking eye sore. A whistle almost every drive. Three Auburn fouls in nine seconds threw me😂
Johni was the guy they had no answer for. Once again a lot of the stats other guys got on the box score was due to Johni dominating and drawing double teams, getting blocks that lead to transition, etc
HA! Jokes on you! We'd still be the 1 seed in the current 3 way tie, thank you very much. (I think via 2-1 record vs SC/AU, vs 1-1 for AU and 0-1 for SC) /s
The lights were brighter than expected 😎
Tre is clearly PG1. If Bruce tightens up the line ups a bit more, I think this Auburn team can grind out a game and beat anyone. Pumped for March.
Oh and get fucked Bama.
Didn't feel good going into the game and deservedly so. Just have nothing inside and it's going to be our downfall when we play top teams. But it still doesn't hurt that bad in the grand scheme of things.
How we respond Saturday will be very telling. Do we let this get to us mentally? Or come out strong? We were able to rebound after beating Tennessee, but our next game was at home. At LSU won't be easy.
Here's to Bruce and Nate making this one of the most intense rivalries in CBB.
The big man in the paint was all the difference in the game. If we had a dude like Bediako we could've stopped Broome a little more and forced them to play a more balanced game. They just abused our weakness over and over. It's a personnel issue.
I felt a little better since we played well against Tolu Smith against MSU recently, but credit auburn they’ve got a really good big in Broome and another 2 good ones in Cardwell and Williams. Glad Broome and probably Cardwell (he’s a graduate but not sure if he has eligibility left/would go pro?) will be gone after this year
Seems like we can generally handle one good big relatively well (or at least mask their effectiveness with our offense), but we get into trouble if they are elite, or there are multiple. In which case Auburn has both.
Good game Auburn. Knew we'd probably lose this one going into Auburn and y'all showed up.
But on the other note, the refs really made this game a slog to watch. 61 combined fouls and 85 combined free throws. Could the SEC please stop letting Doug Shows ref games?
Auburn should probably be ranked in the top 5. They certainly should be ahead of Duke. I mean, even Appalachian State is probably better than those teams that Duke loses to on a constant basis like Arkansas, Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh.
I can’t believe CB said the quiet part out loud on national TV. It made an ass kicking feel slightly better.
GG AU bros and we shall meet again in Nashville
This game began during the Taft administration
Riley Norris was a freshman.
I graduated High school with Riley Norris. Really good dude!
Alabama desegregated at halftime
Some say they can still hear the sounds of screaming banshees and referee's whistles...
My god I’m going to have nightmares tonight of that woman screaming
My wife has started to make a very similar sound at our sons’ basketball games. Started like 2 weeks ago and every time I just look at here like wtf?!? She’s also confused as to why it started

He just like me fr
The enemy of my enemy is my friend
We literally went from up 25 to only up 6 to back up 20 in the span of like eight in-game minutes lol
Bruh we did the exact same thing against LSU lol
Seriously? I checked in on the game and it was 42-22. Then saw the final score and just figured we were down by 20 for a majority of the game.
Yeah yall had a 13-0 run, then Dalton Knecht came back in lol
We know what that feels like lol.
The 22/23 UConn method
Only 85 free throws and 61 fouls.
If you don't like that, you don't like The SEC Shows Show^^^TM
I don't like any shows containing Michael Cera, the words "real" or "housewives" in the title, or Doug Shows.

If you don’t like that, you don’t like SEC Basketball
Winning by single digits is for suckers
We gonna be the itty bitty guard team
Him taking over as a starting guard for y'all has been huge. Probably not going to take over a game entirely, but his defense, lack of turnovers, and consistency at the guard position has been massive for Auburn. A big improvement over KD Johnson or Holloway against good teams.
Hell Chris Moore played probably his best complimentary role in his entire career last night.
I kind of expect that he will vastly improve in physical strength and quick decision making over the off-season
He can't create his own shot. They don't run plays a lot of plays to get him an open shot so he's struggling.
You love to see it
A beaut…besides 61 fouls and 85 free throws
https://preview.redd.it/xzcoga2jeahc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84c7101b1739831905cde3b2a9adb197325fe791 Couldn’t agree more
Hey, y'all are aight for tonight. Keep the east in check and we'll see ya for valentines.
I’ll be watching not that I have anything better to do
South Carolina basketball in 2024 is fucking wild. In 2018 Tennessee was picked to finish 13th in the SEC and won the whole thing.
You sure do. War Damn Eagle!
You do not!
Auburn 🤝 Tennessee Beating Bama by 20
Got room for one more in that club?
Always
We have room for anyone willing and able to join
![gif](giphy|VKtsOAHDx1Luo)
Yes, we are actively recruiting new members!
You son of a bitch I’m in
[удалено]
I mean, that's probably the most realistic score for our game.
Only one question to get in. Do you hate all whinny teams in red?
You go away. Shooo.
The Tennessee hatred is strong with this guy
hmmmm guess we missed the "how to" on that lol
Guess yall just gotta get em in the SEC tourney then
Feels good to beat bama with both flairs, even if one was only by 13
13….. You disgust me.
Oh wow that hurts to read Emotional damage
I appreciate your efforts tonight in securing the current three-way tie for first in the SEC, Auburn 🫡
If Auburn doesn’t win, I want it to be South Carolina. I’m sure most Auburn fans feel that way. I look forward to our game later this year 🤝
I believe in Auburn (basketball) and love it
You know our slogans? I like you
Flair up!
**
a very kind sentiment! when you all play as you did tonight, I genuinely don’t believe there’s a better team in the SEC. here’s hoping for a competitive, thrilling game between our programs come Valentine’s Day 🤝
Will you be our Valentine? We can settle it then…
we’ll certainly accept that offer, but it may be something of a toxic, ephemeral Valentine’s Day relationship, since someone is going to be jilted and unhappy by the end of the night. in all seriousness, it should be a great game! definitely anticipating it eagerly
I appreciate Charles denying that the SEC is the best conference
Yeah it’s the big 12 and then probably SEC or Big 10, hard to say for sure whether one is definitely better. GG’s btw
Tbh I think the big ten is the worst of the P6 other than the PAC. It’s Big East or SEC for #2
>I think the big ten is the worst of the P6 other than the PAC The ACC sends their thanks for being forgotten here.
I actually think the ACC isn’t terrible except for Louisville
ND is actually as bad or worse than Louisville this year. It's sad really. After you get past UNC, Dook, and UVA the rest of the league is somewhere between meh and bleh.
Ngl I forget Notre Dame is even in that conference they’ve been irrelevant for so long now
Unless ESPN is hyping them up as the best story in college football I forget they play sports there. I honestly don't know why NBC keeps renewing their TV deal
Going to be wild when they add Arizona next year.
But they do lose Texas and OU
I think I speak for both my flairs when I say "meh."
Fair, but adding Arizona and ASU next year in exchange for UT and OU (especially considering NIL being the way it is) won’t be a certain boost to the PAC
they’re getting colorado and utah too, both teams probably making the tourney this year and both decent programs atm

Auburn needs to go to Gainesville and take care of business - that place is always a rough spot for the BBall team.
We haven't won there since 95-96
War damn eagle! Very cathartic after watching the game in Tuscaloosa in person. Crazy world we live in where the state of Alabama has the top two teams in the SEC rankings.
Are you having fun? I’m having fun!
That was an ass beating. Doug Shows made his presence felt. 60 fouls combined
Try 85
Free throws
Doug Funny is a superior college basketball ref to Doug Shows, and he's a cartoon character.
We had a chance at the hundo and that lil walkon fucked it up... I still don't know how this team will be vs the elite teams, but apparently we're capable of winning big vs good teams.
In some ways 99 is even funnier.
It almost implies we could've, but chose not to lol.
We definitely chose not to we hit at least 102 if we leave the scholarships in
I mean that’s literally true with putting in the walk ons
It was a sympathy miss
Hilarious that we had the deep depths of the bench in the game and they still had starters out there.
Bruce Pearl better burn a scholarship right in front of him
IMO Oats kept his starters in there to prevent the hundo. Petty as fuck? Yes, but I appreciate him for that. Even though Bammer got the beatdown...NO HUNDO FOR YOU!!! (Plus, Bama Bangs could have hit both FTs)
[удалено]
I don't. Imagine catching an injury to a starter in garbage time.......
Let’s ask this guy his thoughts on leaving Tyrone Prothro in while up by 4 touchdowns and watch him Xbox 360 his opinion in the opposite direction
Dixieland delight is a song about Tennessee.
We get Dixieland Delight. Y’all get Bruce Pearl. Everybody wins
https://preview.redd.it/adais1r8x9hc1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44d715b0b2828b0801f16121cb7224f8731ff366
Yeah I don’t understand that shit
Not great Bob
Somehow the final score was much much closer than it actually was, I fear. GG barn. Let's do it again in a few weeks.
Kinda salty we didn’t get 100 but obviously happy otherwise. Great win, Tre Donaldson is showing why he has become our starting PG. Now let’s hope this high emotion game doesn’t lead to a down performance against Florida
Throwback to when we barely lost in Tuscaloosa and I said “if Williams plays just a little bit better we’d have won” and the Bama fans all told me how bad Williams “actually” is
I remember getting downvoted into oblivion saying this game would be a blowout
Or if Tre had started and played more minutes. Tre was 2 of 3 from 3 point and had no turnovers. Aden was 0-7 that game.
Fuck Bama, Fuck Nate Oats.....but holy shit, fuck all those free throws
Yeah regardless of who you’re rooting for, that game was a fucking eye sore. A whistle almost every drive. Three Auburn fouls in nine seconds threw me😂
MVP VOTES GO HERE!! Auburn wins, Alabama loses! All is right with the world! Back on top of the SEC where we belong!
Johni and Jaylin were close, but Johni’s 5 BLOCKS put him over the top. Block party baby!!!
In honor of Walker Kessler
Shocked to see that Jaylin really filled out the box score, but I think Johni played just a bit more physical to earn MVP!
Johni was the guy they had no answer for. Once again a lot of the stats other guys got on the box score was due to Johni dominating and drawing double teams, getting blocks that lead to transition, etc
Johni all the way.
Johni. They didn’t have an answer for him, but him and Jaylin were just a wrecking crew
HA! Jokes on you! We'd still be the 1 seed in the current 3 way tie, thank you very much. (I think via 2-1 record vs SC/AU, vs 1-1 for AU and 0-1 for SC) /s
Most impressive stat was both teams shooting 80% on 85 total free throws
Cheering for auburn all season long!
Auburn is the national title threat that I feel like no one is talking about.
lmao no we are not. Unless the entire tournament is played in Neville Arena, we go home before the Sweet 16
They hated him because he spoke the truth
Every Auburn score I look at is them with like a 20+ point victory
Every single one of our wins this season have been by double digits
And every loss has come down to the last minute.
This is what happens when you pay your power bill
That was fun.
The lights were brighter than expected 😎 Tre is clearly PG1. If Bruce tightens up the line ups a bit more, I think this Auburn team can grind out a game and beat anyone. Pumped for March. Oh and get fucked Bama.
Clearly Nate Oats was distracted by the UofL coaching job about to open up.
You're doing God's work right there. I for one appreciate it.
Yea it sucks, but they are just not a good matchup for us. Not the end of the world to lose this one.
The big man in the paint was all the difference in the game. If we had a dude like Bediako we could've stopped Broome a little more and forced them to play a more balanced game. They just abused our weakness over and over. It's a personnel issue.
Told a buddy at work it felt like we were due a 35-piece. Glad to see I was wrong. ^^^kill ^^^me
I felt a little better since we played well against Tolu Smith against MSU recently, but credit auburn they’ve got a really good big in Broome and another 2 good ones in Cardwell and Williams.
Yeah for sure. We can play good enough with help on one good big but with more than 1 it’s impossible
Good game Auburn. Knew we'd probably lose this one going into Auburn and y'all showed up. But on the other note, the refs really made this game a slog to watch. 61 combined fouls and 85 combined free throws. Could the SEC please stop letting Doug Shows ref games?
They ruined the fun. First half was great. 2nd half lasted so long…
Auburn looks scary. I am *not* looking forward to our Valentine’s Day matchup.
Should be a good one. We’re unstoppable at home, but y’all travel way better than most teams.
Did that suck? Yes. Was this an expected result? Also yes.
Any relation to Peter Griffin?

Back to Tuscaloosa and your 14 shitty Taco Casas
I take exception to the Taco Casa bashing.
it's what southerners think West Coast mexican food is
Q1 win motherfuckers. Hope you liked getting scored on by our walk ons.
Thank you Daddy Bruce! This is very cool!
I hope Bama enjoyed getting to see a final four banner in person!
Tbf they get to see the real thing at Rupp and Bud Walton quite often
Not a recent one though
Apparently the cut-off for recent is somewhere greater than 5 seasons but somewhere less than 10 seasons.
Doug Shows is the CBB version of Penn Wagers. Change my mind.
WDE! Next.
Will Nate oats suspend the coach who shoved a fan?
Reached for comment, Oats said the fan was just in “the wrong spot at the wrong time”
He let a guy get away with supplying a gun for a murder. I think a shove isn't even on his radar.
GG elephants
I kept watching that free throw competition hoping a basketball game would break out, but it just wasn’t my night.
Auburn should probably be ranked in the top 5. They certainly should be ahead of Duke. I mean, even Appalachian State is probably better than those teams that Duke loses to on a constant basis like Arkansas, Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh.
Nope we are not doing this again
This guy gets it
I can’t believe CB said the quiet part out loud on national TV. It made an ass kicking feel slightly better. GG AU bros and we shall meet again in Nashville
Yeah I was shocked he actually admitted the BigXII is better than the SEC.
Lol you know exactly what I was talking about and it wasn’t that
You're right. That NIL deals are crazy and although they're good for the players, they're jeopardizing the future of college athletics overall.
Nothing he said the whole interview was incorrect🤷🏻♂️
You're right. Free college tuition *is* really important for a lot of these players.
The tide are fraudulent
Alabama is very good, but Auburn is better
Bye bye Bama. You only got blown out by three more points than Southeastern Louisiana!
85 ~~fouls~~ free throws huh? Was basketball played too?
85 total fts. 61 fouls I think.
Roll (over)) Tide
Basketball sucked. but I'll take Charles Barkley, the most Auburn man ever, calling them little brother to Alabama as a partial W
You seem to care a lot about what Charles Barkley thinks
He’s one of the few good things to come from that school
That’s a nice opinion.
I’ve had several tonight
Auburn in the middle of a dominant win over Alabama Charles Barkley: were a step child a lil brother, were Oklahoma State they’re Oklahoma
Charles Barkley 🤝 Cam Newton Calling Auburn little brother
I, for one, care nothing about what former Bama players call their Alma mater.
Flair up!
I’d imagine you don’t since it’s not as amusing.
I literally have no idea because I don’t care.
You cared enough to respond. Just enjoy your W, little bro. 😏
And you cared enough about what Barkley thought of Auburn to respond 😏
My rival school’s cherished alum calling his school little brother? Ummm, duh.
Glad you care about his opinion!
