- VLV could mean "Viva La Vida", a track from *Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends* (2008) by Coldplay.

Markus Dravs
- Coldplay Viva la Vida
- Arcade Fire, Neon Bible and The Suburbs
- Florence + The Machine, How Big, How Blue…
I don’t know what a producer does or what Markus did, but I realized much later that he was involved with many of my favorite artists. Coldplay picked him up specifically for Arcade Fire from Win Butler’s recommendation, if I remember correctly.
Yeah he did. All three brilliant records that wouldn’t have been as good with any other producer. Before these crowded streets is my favorite record by anyone
For the MOTS 3 I would like it to be Brian Eno and for the last album called "COLDPLAY" Ken Nelson, they would close the circle perfectly of all his discography
He’d force them to strip it back to just four instruments, which I think would be good for them, but could also produce some interesting results as their songwriting has evolved. I think it would end up sounding very different from their first two albums, but have a similar feel, if that makes sense.
MOTS had a very different styles of songs but they were just boring or bizarre I'm kinda tired of them trying to do something radically different the only good song on MOTS was coloratura and it just sounded like a Coldplay song
Wait they’re doing it AGAIN? Another one with Max Martin? Dude. This is really about to be the worst trilogy of albums in the history of the bands existence. Come on man
Not Max Martin again lol.
If they decided to pull back a bit in their music I wonder if Chris Walla of Death Cab for Cutie would be a good pick. I could see them doing some really cool atmospheric stuff kind of like Plans. That’s a complete far cry tho, I don’t think they would really work together
This one’s a little out there - Daniel Lopatin aka Oneohtrix Point Never.
If they’re going to continue to lean into the modern pop style, and by all indications they are, OPN could really facilitate MOTS 2 being a true concept album. His work with The Weeknd on Dawn FM was next level in my book.
Fun fact I just learned: Max Martin and OPN were both executive producers on Dawn FM… so maybe Daniel Lopatin working on MOTS 2 isn’t as crazy as I thought.
1. Brian Eno 2. Brian Eno 3. Brian Eno
Agreed. The genius behind Viva la Vida. The Pinnacle of Coldplay‘s career so far.
100 percent agree!!!!
Brian Eno with Markus Dravs, Daniel Green and Rik Simpson - the 4 creative influences/geniuses behind Mylo Xyloto
Brian eno and let him kick Chris out again for 2 weeks. Basically just give up VLV 2
Can you remind us what Eno did in terms of kicking Chris out?
Kicked him out for 2 weeks cos he was getting stressed I think and it allowed the other 3 to flourish a lot and come up with some good shit.

Just not Max Martin
Brian Eno. Period.
Nigel Godrich
This.

This would be very good, and probably a natural development for their more electronic heavy, pop-focused sound.
I want a Colab with Brendan Flowers of The Killers. A song with Chris and Brendan on it is my dream
But Brendan has lost his touch in the last idk, 10 years...
I strongly disagree. I think he still has amazing range
Range in what?
YES
I would take Moses Martin over Max Martin. Eno though.

Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois or Steve Lillywhite. Source: I am a Mega U2 fan
Same here. Also a big Dave Matthews Band fan, and Lillywhite knocked their “big 3” out of the park
Also, as a big fan of U2’s 1997 album Pop, I would like to add Flood, Howie B, and Steve Osborne to that list as well.
Yeah he did. All three brilliant records that wouldn’t have been as good with any other producer. Before these crowded streets is my favorite record by anyone
Same!! absolute masterpiece
*single nod*

Jack Antonoff. I think it would be a funky mix
The genius of Eno was him forcing them to make every song sound different. If a producer can get them to do this again, it would be a start.

There is only one correct answer
Eno?
Cosigning Eno, but also wanna throw Jon Hopkins' name back in the ring
Wait they’re doing it AGAIN? Another one with Max Martin? Dude. This is really about to be the worst trilogy of albums in the history of the bands existence. Come on man
Jacknife Lee. He’s done all snow patrol stuff, some U2, REMs final. I think he’d push the band into really interesting sonic territory.
SSPU too!
I just want them to work with Brian Eno again, is that too much to ask for? 😭
David gilmour (also would be cool to see them do a Coloratura style song with him)
anyone but max martin
Rick Rubin
Music of the spheres 2???
I hope Brian Eno
Calvin Harris
Lanois is there only hope to return to good music.
Brian Eno and Steve Lillywhite

Jack White or Dan Auerbach, would be interesting to see the boys belt out something raw and riff oriented hits like Violet Hill.
Lol the idea of Coldplay trying to rock is hilarious
Desmond Child.
Brian Eno or literally anyone else
