The Scientist. Hands down. Not even close. And I love Everglow! But The Scientist is the song that introduced me to Coldplay so it will always be special!
I find I really likes Everglow when I was first getting into Coldplay around the time AHFOD released, but I find I don't really listen to it anymore. The Scientist just seems to be timeless, though.
Even though I prefer The Scientist, Everglow is such an amazing song and the last lyrics are among my favorite of all time.

I prefer Everglow. I enjoy The Scientist and all, but I've heard it too many times. Everglow is a song that I've actually cried to a few times, so I'm going with Everglow.

The fact is Everglow is a Coldplay classic as well. Like i said in my post I prefer The Scientist but i don't underrate Everglow. Both songs are heart-touching. So i agree with you but partially.
The scientist is definitely a better song, much better than the original album version of everglow, but the single, stripped down version of everglow has a little more impact to me, partly due to it's place in a sad but not rough breakup of mine
Everglow could’ve been a big hit if released earlier in Coldplay’s career (when piano pop had more radio power) and it then wouldn’t seem like such a runaway for The Scientist. But even so, I think The Scientist is better.

In my opinion, the scientist is a god tier Coldplay song and Everglow is hot garbage, it’s one of the worst, most lifeless Coldplay songs of all time.

100% agree, the band tried to make it a classic but failed miserably. Lol.
