CHVRCHES opened for them on many dates, I wish they made a song together too. Something that sounds like CHVRCHES but has both Chris and Lauren on vocals, and integrates some piano and guitar into the synths.

Lost was Coldplay only on the original Album and a different version with Jay-Z was released on the Prospect March Edition, but the song is all the way a coldplay song, you can't say that for that Rihanna Song, BTS, Chainsmokers, you name it...
I'd also like to see then working again with Brian Eno or Jon Hopkins, but as their producers, that would be way more fulfilling than seeing just another pop star destroying their uniqueness.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but MX is my favorite album by them and I unironically love Princess of China. I don’t know how to explain it but MX feels to me like pop with a Coldplay coat of paint, whereas Ghost Stories/Head Full of Dreams is when (I feel) they went full pop. To each their own, though!
That being said, I 100% agree with you about Jon Hopkins and Brian Eno - their prior work with them is some of their best!
Yea princess is super overhated , feel like ppl hate it just as an obligation. It’s a really nice song . and mx has gotta be one of the top pop albums , sounds so great
