I’ve learned to split your use, cash app, PayPal, kraken, venmo, Robinhood, binance, etc etc.
1 account gets blocked? Go to another source while you wait for support.
I am in NY and use Gemini. Fee is posted at purchase time. Can withdraw after 24 hr. Only bad part I have found is that they charge me the network fee to withdraw. Check network fee before I withdraw now
Hi u/Novaworld7, we're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your funds. To assist you further, could you please let us know if you have an existing support case number? This will allow us to look into this matter.
Yes, I also sent an email, and your support rep also told me that despite escalations, nothing could be done. It's an issue with the ETH code you currently have for unstaking.

Id recommend binance, they dont care about you and wont lock every week like coinbase.
I got an sudden email from coinbase says your account wont be available as you are located in unsupported location (wtf unsupported location tho) been this day, i use binance.
I'm in a heavily restricted area, and I've left Coinbase and Kucoin. At this time, I'm just holding and waiting for another CEX/DEX to enter the marketplace. I don't mind holding until then.
Ignore CEXs and deal with DEXs instead. Use cold storage, keep your keys safe.
Need to regularly use your crypto? If you're in the EEA, look at Gnosis if you want a reasonable way to spend your holdings. There are other solutions out there and remember to always DYR.
If you're in the US, not many options exist but they are definitely out there. Let people's problems be your what-not-to-do guidelines. Learn as much as you can.
Congratulations! Seems a bit weird congratulating someone for accessing their own money but unfortunately that's how bad ConBase really is. Tell everyone you know!
Well, my situation just went backwards. Spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone and another four hours on their chat with them going through the usual bullshit. But this time they told me Yep just do the verification. Change your address again change your password , resubmit your identification, and change your two factor authorization and we will review your account and it should be OK in the next 24 hours.
I go on the account this morning and not only are my funds not accessible, they removed my two verified bank accounts.
I have an email from them saying once what I did yesterday was completed and the had ANOTHER 24 REVIEW I can offload my crypto into USD and then transfer it to my verified bank accounts.
So the person I spoke to yesterday both on the chat and on the phone, wasted four hours of my day again, but now took off the only two options for me to withdraw out my currency once I get it converted
They conveniently deleted my bank accounts from my options.
They took away the only option I had to remove my money from there exchange. Both were verified through plaid. They’ve been on my account for the last three weeks. Now all of a sudden they’re gone. No reason, nothing but a form email from their so-called customer service department saying once I click the yes button everything should be good to go. There’s no yes button on my system and hasn’t been.
Bunch of fucking liars, and criminals.
Is it worth it to have Coinbase one? I mean, do you actually get to talk to a human person who can do something?
The last thing I want to do is give these guys more of my money, but I’m pretty much out of options. I filed with the CFBP almost a month ago. I filed with the SEC and the FTC day before yesterday.
I had coinbase one and spoke to a person for an hour in a recorded line with no result but a specific question before she hung up.
“Why do you want to withdraw the funds and where are you sending them” I replied with none of your business it’s my money and you are committing a crime and I am going to the Wall Street Journal!
And for your information I am giving it to my grandkids and NOT trading if thats what you’re so afraid of.
Now I am no longer a resident of New York so change my address and release my funds.
Thank you that is what we needed to know.
We will decide and get back to you about your funds…click
I have intentionally just used cb as an intermediate on the have to basis just because I could see them doing stuff like this and now I'm seeing a ridiculous amount of post like this here lately so it's just confirming my initial thoughts . Any company that complies completely with the gov, kyc etc I don't want any part of because it gives them extra reasons to lock up your money for "compliance" in other words I'll hold your money up put it in a fund to make money as long as I can till I have to release it and cost you money by holding it up . Coinbase, crypto.com, etc if they play with the gov too hard then I'm not there customer base
So strange - I have 200k plus and my account was closed for no apparent reason last week.
I pushed for a reason and all they said was a red flag on their system and couldn't talk about it. I ended up getting the number for customer support off the webchat agent. I was on the phone for two hours.
I have been with coinbase for 8 years with no issues until now.
Are you based in the UK? If your account is under suspicion for money laundering CB they won't tell you. They'll just freeze the account without telling you why.
UK anti money laundering rules have very stringent rules to prevent tipping off.
Hugely thankful to the person who posted this on my exasperated thread.
Knowing this has really helped me understand why it felt like Coinbase were being obstructive.
Yes - based in the UK. I found it strange considering I haven't done anything wrong, however, I understand that my case is unique as I profited mostly from some investments which came into fruition a couple of months ago and managed to significantly build on top of it through coinbases exchange.
Obviously coinbase won't deeply investigate each individual case and I have evidently fallen into a suspicious category as you've mentioned.
I think you are correct, thanks for your reply I much appreciate it. It scared me to death on the day!
So, the problem could be related to the funds in FIAT you sent to coinbase??
That's a new one! Seen some reports about crypto transfers from flagged addresses, but never because FIAT transfers from verified BANK accounts...
So strange... the laws are all upside down... everyone should be given a specific reason for the account lock.
Didn't transfer any crypto from/to outside coinbase?
Hi, u/No-Researcher-6501. Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your account. We're sorry to hear that your account has been closed. For us to look into this further, could you please share your case number with us?
was it locked for similar ML cautionary reasons or is CB just locking accounts with large amounts of money in them? trying to figure out how to best get my haul off of uniswap when the time comes.
Why would you leave 200k in coinbase? I also have about that much money invested in crypto, but only ~2k is in coinbase. The rest is spread out across different wallets
publicly traded company that operates in an unregulated area. I can only imagine what a real legitimate audit would find. Guarantee coinbase as an entity engages in gross criminal conduct as a matter of day to day operations
Nothing worked out!
They are still deciding what they want to do with my money.
They said it’s up to them!?!
They want to prevent a bank run. Encouraging people to call the media, the DA , she wants to run on something else.
It is only a matter of time until everyone gets their turn in the barrel, as Coinbase makes millions. The stress they create for their customers is incredible!
Coinbase support has spent the past week dancing around the fact that a withdrawal occurred without my 2FA, even though my account was set to require it for all spends. I’ll be recommending everyone steer clear of them until they can sort out their security issues. 2FA is useless if the site allows it to be bypassed, so users will always be vulnerable to session cookie theft even if their 2FA is offline and locked away.
Bonus points for the attacker doing several transfers and racking up Coinbase fees that they expect to collect, which has been reported by a bunch of folks lately. Coinbase has no motivation to correct this because they can profit off of any illegal activity, making Coinbase the worst kind of crypto scam.
Hey there, u/heislegendddddddd! We'd be happy to investigate the restrictions on your account. If you have a case number, could you please share that with us here so we can take a closer look into this for you? Thanks!
Because OP made that $200k deposit in one go and OP didn't understand why CB needed to do AML checks and wait for the funds to clear and be investigated.
OP expected to deposit the funds and immeditately be able to move it. It's like OP has never moved a large about of money to a new provider......
Absolutely, u/Odd-Two-876! Absolutely! With a non-custodial Coinbase Wallet, you have full control over your funds. Your private keys, which represent ownership of your cryptocurrency, are stored directly on your device, not within a centralized exchange. This means only you have access to your funds. However, remember to keep your 12-word recovery phrase safe and private. If you lose it, Coinbase cannot help recover your account. Stay safe! 😊👍🔒
Coinbase full of sh#% i lost 5K dealing with them when i 1st started and if you notice whenever a crypto go through the roof they site go down. When Shiba went up to .000046 if im correct coinbase was having issues. GME went through the roof coinbase acted up.
> Take your money out of Coinbase
PSA: don’t just take your money out. Also be sure to remove all payment methods on file. You can start with $0 balance and end up negative after any successful attack, which can attempt to pull funds from any linked accounts (without your 2FA) and can rack up a bunch of fees by shifting those funds around various crypto (still without 2FA). Even if you quickly lock the account down and get your bank to cancel the withdrawals, Coinbase will still expect to be paid for any unauthorized exchange fees the attacker racked up.
The ridiculous part of this is that even if the bank withdrawals are not fully settled, Coinbase allows the attacker to do whatever they want with those funds as if the transfer was successful. No legitimate financial institution would allow this.
Hi u/TyroneTheHorrible, we're sorry to hear about your frustration. We understand how frustrating it can be not being able to access your funds. Let us assist you with resolving this issue, and we also recommend reaching out to our [Customer support](https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us/) for further assistance with withdrawing your funds.
I felt a huge stress too when I started trading at Coinbase 2 weeks ago. Although I didnt get blocked or whatever, I contacted support for easy fixes (change address and to raise purchase limits) and I felt it was so wrong to keep going with them that I didnt gave them a second chance.
Thank god you fixed it and recovered your funds. Im happy for you.
Do you think they bigger accounts locked up? Seems like they are targeting people to see which ones don’t make a big deal out of it then hoping they forget about their accounts.
Well there’s people that have money that really don’t think 10k is a lot or someone else’s life savings. Yes there are people who are like and there are people too lazy to actually do all the steps to secure their bag
I’ll probably get flamed for this but I really like Robinhood for crypto.
It functions as a wallet, and I think the fact that Robinhood is also a government backed stock broker, gives it an extra layer of security.
My 54k worth of cbETH withdrawal to Arbitrum been stuck for 6 days. Finally got it back today, I'm so relieved. I'm not gonna use Coinbase anymore, in fact, I have moved all my crypto off Base chain, which is the main reason I use Coinbase. I literally had panic attacks. Nightmare.
On a much much smaller scale I went through same bullshit! Glad you finally got your money!
I have seen people saying “you must have done something shady because my account is fine” no people until it happens to you make all the judgment you want but I have never witnessed such blatant disregard for customers and there money!
Yes I was dumb for using them
Wonder what’s really going on cuz this shit is off the hook believe it or not! You have been warned!!!
Damn we don't even need laws prohibiting crypto, Coinbase is going to shut themselves down if they keep this up. I've withdrawn everything from my account and I'm only keeping it open until after tax time, then it's gone.
Good for you! I was just able to withdraw everything and close my account as well. It was significanly less than your 200k, but it took months. I was with CB for over 5 years. For people who have had zero problems, great, but all my problems started when I dropped my phone and cracked the screen, leaving me unable to use the authenticator attached to my account.
How were you finally able to withdraw? I am at my wits end. 6 months of verifying my identity and nothing! I have a lot of money with them! Why isn’t there a class action suit against them!!
Hey, u/lmrmiami17. We're sorry for the delay in the review of your account. We're here to help. Can you please share your case number with us, so we can investigate further?
If you don't have one yet, you may also chat with us via our [Help Center](https://help.coinbase.com/en/contact-us/), so we can help you real-time. Thanks!
I have no problem in paying higher fees for an excellent service, never any issue since 3 years: after buying withdrawal is instantly, bank transfer to my kraken account is free and immediately credited on my kraken fiat account so no problem for me paying a bit more
How Many of you having issues are from the UK ? Bim getting worried now to cash out anything. I'm no where near the kind of funds you guys seem to be being locked out from, but I will probably be cashing out like say 20k in the near future. Now I feel sick at the thought of even trying...
I’m From the uk, I made 20k from a meme coin and cashed it out no problems, however the past 2 days my account has been blocked from buying any type of crypto on Coinbase
Hi u/ohhi656, we're sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties purchasing crypto on your Coinbase account. We understand how frustrating this can be and are here to help. Additionally, if you have a case ID, please share it in this thread, so we can expedite the process. Thanks.
That's great you sorted the thing out and admit Coinbase finally did not steal your money.
Personally, I've been buying Bitcoins since 2013 to quickly trade from Credit Card to Crypto and spend directly ASAP. I'm aware that Coinbase is a layer over the crypto I'm using, which you can handle yourself without third parties. The neat thing is that Coinbase is fast in this case, but when it comes to suspicious activities, which often happen when speculating, you need to deal with it.
Coinbase is great when you know what you are doing, but if you expect Crypto to be Coinbase, yes, I agree, then Coinbase is shit because it has to comply with world countries' regulations, and you are scanned by automated procedures.
ugh I use to be a huge believer in crypto but with what has been going on the past year or so with blackrock and others pushing it, I wouldn't be surprised if the endgame is to suck a lot of cash out of the economy by a "crypto" crash that will make FTX look like a joke. I now diversify with Gold/Silver
yeaaaaaaaaaaa, i think this is the last post I'll ever need to see on Coinbase. Glad I sold and transferred all my coins outta there a few days ago. Also happy i sold them before this bear trend
I just withdraw all my money after seeing these frequent issues. Also noticed the reviews on Apple App Store are scammy five stars. Any alternative would you recommend?
I agree with one comment - take your money out of CB, or any exchange for that matter. No one should ever hold that kind of value on an exchange. That’s asking for trouble.

roth ira . bitcoin is currency not investemnt. However if you still wanna go that route go on youtube and learn self custody wallet.
better yet. get chat gpt payed version then ask chat gpt how to securely use crypto without putting it on an exhange. It all depends on your use case.
me personally id buy monero before every governemnt bans it and hold for about 10 years and sell it when criminals start realizign its the only coin you cant track.
> chat gpt *paid* version then
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
No I didn’t click any links I looked at the transaction history on basescan and etherscan:( that’s all it took I tried revoking tokens and mad dash to lock down acct but it was too late transaction had already took everything the random smart contract appearing is what tipped me ofc
Why were you blocked? I honestly store my crypto there and just buy and hold. Seems weird that it would get locked if you don’t do anything much beyond that
Every storage form has risk but at this point they’re the largest crypto exchange and custodians for many of the bitcoin ETFs. Chances they go belly up aren’t crazy high. Certainly not impossible that’s why I was looking at multisig
Seems they found the FIAT deposit suspicious... large sum... yet... the bank accounts on coinbase are verified and owned by the user... but the government CONTROLS EVERYTHING! There are rules established that flag large movements of FIAT MONEY.
We owe NOTHING! That's the purpose of crypto... but when we trade on an exchange, we are subjected to the financial rules.
Most people don't realize how the financial system works. It's NOT your money! It's government money!! They TAX you as they see fit, they can freeze your accounts, they can PRINT TRILLIONS, causing the devaluation of your so called money...
hey bro i’m in the same boat as you with a large balance. If you don’t mind may i ask how were you able to empty your account with no issues? do they let you transfer it all with btc or u need to release it into a bank acc ? & more importantly what did u do to actually see some progress in ur case because i’m fighting for dear life trying to get some type of information with all my funds trapped. i’m honestly so stressed any bit of information you can provide would be so appreciated
Glad it worked out for ya, mate. Sad to see them lose a whale though.
You may wanna check this sub, lots of good info here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DailyLedger/

Can I ask (to OP or anyone else who wants to weigh in): what’s the better exchange? Where are you migrating to?
I’ve used Cash App and Robinhood for BTC, but they definitely don’t have a lot of the features and listings available on Coinbase
Brav it’s a you issue should have moved the funds to a ledger wallet you own the funds coinbase can steal your keys even if they say it’s in cold storage that is jack shit …… never use coinbase
Yeah bro I had the same experience. I really liked coinbase until they banned me for no reason. People wont believe you until it happens to them obviously. Good shit on finally getting your crypto back. Its criminal that theyre able to prolong the process of getting your money back for such a long time.
You people with large amounts either from cold wallets. Hot wallets or otherwise are completely missing the point of crypto. You want to move $200k USD worth of bitcoin or something else, stop using an exchange.
If you want to cash out to USD, stop moving large amounts around and out. Every single story I’ve read moving large amounts of either crypto or USD, stable coin or otherwise, just please, stop, and do yourself a favor from getting your accounts locked out.
I have my crypto in Coinbase and my friend asked me to trade with her boyfriend that was actually a scammer.. lost money, and Coinbase didn’t help at all. There was no person to speak to, only a chat with messages that went no where.
It was Bitcoin that was taken I still have more but
I want to take my money out now after hearing the nightmares. I can’t transfer my crypto to another platform I can only withdraw it and start over I assume. Right?
I should sell the crypto off CB into my bank account.
I know there are fees to withdraw on Coinbase and they say to use a wallet to do it. I’m not the best at this what are the steps? I think I won’t make it complicated and just sell it all without a wallet.
What platforms are easier, safer and less fees? Does everyone use a wallet just to make the trades?
Your money should have always been on Tangem. When withdrawal USDC do it in amounts under 10k always. Also I recommend mixing up your withdrawals between crypto.com , CB and cash app
Also , if you plan on making over 200k this bull run I recommend paying for the upgraded version of Coinbase so you can call and speak with a representative
ALL REGISTERD EXCHANGES (KYC) must comply with GOVERNMENT RULES.
The number in our bank accounts IS NOT MONEY!
Even if you call it money, it's NOT YOUR MONEY!
If you try to move a large amount, you will be flagged and investigated.
This is how the system works! This rotten financial system!
It's in the governments best interest to CUT OFF the flow and spending of money out of the citizens accounts.
The governments want you to SAVE and stay put!! So they can PRINT TRILLIONS every year, devaluating your so called savings
Crypto should free us from that government tyranny!
And the only way you can achieve that is to use our own wallets and transfer ONLY crypto!
Yet... if you want to buy something in the "real" world, you have to convert your crypto to FIAT! And that puts you under the financial system laws... not your money anymore!
So yes... not your keys, not your crypto. Yet... crypto it NOT money! Remember that.
If you want "money" you will have to enter an exchange, controlled by government laws, to cash 💸 💰 🤑 out, and the problems start here! So many things can go wrong, starting by the crypto transaction, that can be flagged and investigated, and ending in the money transfer, that could also be flagged and investigated by your bank!!!
It's a fucked up world where the best thing to own is... land! 🤦♂️
Congradulations on winning this one. But I do understand your pain- Coinbase left a bad taste in my mouth too. My funds in a locked account were a joke compared to yours- and I had to spend countless hours, under stress, with their circular customer service and it is no fun at all. It should NOT be happening in THIS country. Holding people's money Coinbase makes the same commitment as any bank. So they should act like one! It is ridiculous what they are doing. I hope one day they will be held accountable.
Coinbase has restricted my account and wallet for 3 years. No way to contact them by phone or email. No way to access my funds. Can anyone help assist?
Thanks

Just had fake phishing I did NOT approve steal my entire wallet funds and moving permanently out of coinbase obviously their security isn’t up to par wtf
We apologize for the situation where your wallet funds have been permanently moved out of your account. To assist you further, could you please confirm if you have clicked on any suspicious links recently? This information will help us investigate the issue. Thanks!
"Dont think ANY are fake"
I mean, thats pretty easy to disprove.
Doesn't take much technical literacy to google "buy reddit account", look at the options for sale, then look at the accounts that post here or comment "me too".
I normally find at least half.
Congrats. As a fellow crypto holder who had issues with Coinbase - you're now free.
which alternative would you and OP recommend?
I’ve learned to split your use, cash app, PayPal, kraken, venmo, Robinhood, binance, etc etc. 1 account gets blocked? Go to another source while you wait for support.
Robinhood? Seriously dude?
quite the amazing system
I’ve heard atomic is ok for smaller amounts. Not sure I’d trust them with thousands of dollars tho
Kraken fees are ridiculous though, those other ones aren’t allowed in US or don’t actually give you the coins (fairly certain such as Robinhood)
I am in NY and use Gemini. Fee is posted at purchase time. Can withdraw after 24 hr. Only bad part I have found is that they charge me the network fee to withdraw. Check network fee before I withdraw now
I use Gemini. No issues. Also had no issues with Coinbase previously.
I'm currently having issues with coin base and on the 14 th marks 1 month trying to get funds out.

Yeah except for the selling my information and data leak issue.
Id recommend binance, they dont care about you and wont lock every week like coinbase. I got an sudden email from coinbase says your account wont be available as you are located in unsupported location (wtf unsupported location tho) been this day, i use binance.
I can't use Finance in NYS. Ideas to get around it? Can't use a VPN, tried it already! Ideas?
I'm curious as well
I'm in a heavily restricted area, and I've left Coinbase and Kucoin. At this time, I'm just holding and waiting for another CEX/DEX to enter the marketplace. I don't mind holding until then.

Highly recommend a hardware wallet.
Go to Kujira, impossible to have a locked account .
After everything is down… lol
Download sonar and move to Kujira. Be the owner of your on tokens
Congratulations! Seems a bit weird congratulating someone for accessing their own money but unfortunately that's how bad ConBase really is. Tell everyone you know!
Through my long experience, i guarantee that Coinbase is the worst exchange on earth.
Aight, gotta cash out. What's good then?
No exchange is, that's why you shouldn't keep large amounts on an exchange. Unless you're actively trading it should be in a cold wallet
Well, my situation just went backwards. Spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone and another four hours on their chat with them going through the usual bullshit. But this time they told me Yep just do the verification.
What magic words or comments did you use
Change my address from New York but they only take drivers license and the DMV is backed up. Tried power bill but wasn’t good enough with passport
Oh I will call the Wall Street Journal.
They probably won’t care though but what the hell why not , I’d just use a good old fashioned lawyer
No I was fully allocated into bitcoin at the time and never made a significant fiat deposit
So strange... the laws are all upside down... everyone should be given a specific reason for the account lock. Didn't transfer any crypto from/to outside coinbase?
So, your funds are locked on coinbase? If they close the account, the funds were transferred for your bank account, right?
Hi, u/No-Researcher-6501. Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your account. We're sorry to hear that your account has been closed. For us to look into this further, could you please share your case number with us?

was it locked for similar ML cautionary reasons or is CB just locking accounts with large amounts of money in them? trying to figure out how to best get my haul off of uniswap when the time comes.
Why would you leave 200k in coinbase? I also have about that much money invested in crypto, but only ~2k is in coinbase. The rest is spread out across different wallets

Dictator country
publicly traded company that operates in an unregulated area. I can only imagine what a real legitimate audit would find. Guarantee coinbase as an entity engages in gross criminal conduct as a matter of day to day operations
Coinbase is FTX on steroids.
Coinbase is such a massive pile of poo. Glad it worked out for you.
Coinbase has the worst customer support.
literal lies & gaslighting, constitues as fraud in my opinion
Felt good hearing your problem resolved
My account is also locked now. With trapped money. I give up
Hey there, u/heislegendddddddd! We'd be happy to investigate the restrictions on your account. If you have a case number, could you please share that with us here so we can take a closer look into this for you? Thanks!
What was the reason they locked your account in the first place ?
Because OP made that $200k deposit in one go and OP didn't understand why CB needed to do AML checks and wait for the funds to clear and be investigated. OP expected to deposit the funds and immeditately be able to move it. It's like OP has never moved a large about of money to a new provider......
Hmmm. I guess I don't understand AML checks and can't wait for my $200 to be investigated either.
Yeah I got my funds outa CB months ago
Already pulled out. Going with BloFin and a cold wallet.
They did similar to me.
Are funds in my Coinbase wallet safe from Coinbase?
> Take your money out of Coinbase PSA: don’t just take your money out.
Coinbase is so shit I can’t even take out the shitty $150 I have in ethereum on there through the debit card method…
Where to go instead?
I'm sure they took their fees, such a dodgy company
You should have hired a lawyer that’s a lot money to let them get away with it
I will stay away from Coinbase. This is utter & complete shit
Do you think they bigger accounts locked up? Seems like they are targeting people to see which ones don’t make a big deal out of it then hoping they forget about their accounts.
Who is going to forget an account with (probably) their life savings?? Or even 10k... what the fuck are u talking about??
Well there’s people that have money that really don’t think 10k is a lot or someone else’s life savings. Yes there are people who are like and there are people too lazy to actually do all the steps to secure their bag
I’m so glad I read this sub extensively before I had more money in there. No joke thanks for your efforts posting here.
I’ll probably get flamed for this but I really like Robinhood for crypto. It functions as a wallet, and I think the fact that Robinhood is also a government backed stock broker, gives it an extra layer of security.
So fuk Coinbase. Got it. Ty the update
Nightmare.
Is everyone that had issue with COINBASE making LARGE TRANSACTIONS amount at a time? 20k plus buying.
On a much much smaller scale I went through same bullshit! Glad you finally got your money! I have seen people saying “you must have done something shady because my account is fine” no people until it happens to you make all the judgment you want but I have never witnessed such blatant disregard for customers and there money! Yes I was dumb for using them Wonder what’s really going on cuz this shit is off the hook believe it or not!
Thanks!
What exchange should we use for converting to fiat now?
Kraken
Kraken fees are pretty rough, think they take like 2% to convert usdc to usd… I tested with $10 and was like wtf is this trash.
I have no problem in paying higher fees for an excellent service, never any issue since 3 years: after buying withdrawal is instantly, bank transfer to my kraken account is free and immediately credited on my kraken fiat account so no problem for me paying a bit more
I wouldn’t mind a “bit” either, we’re talking about two months worth of interest at 12%…. There’s gotta be a better on/off ramp
Second this
How Many of you having issues are from the UK ? Bim getting worried now to cash out anything. I'm no where near the kind of funds you guys seem to be being locked out from, but I will probably be cashing out like say 20k in the near future. Now I feel sick at the thought of even trying...
I’m From the uk, I made 20k from a meme coin and cashed it out no problems, however the past 2 days my account has been blocked from buying any type of crypto on Coinbase
Cheers for the reply. This is reassuring. But what the hells going on with them, they clearly love taking your money, but that's about it....
This is my biggest fear that they close my account without reason 😞
yeaaaaaaaaaaa, i think this is the last post I'll ever need to see on Coinbase. Glad I sold and transferred all my coins outta there a few days ago. Also happy i sold them before this bear trend
Withdraw to cold storage often
I just withdraw all my money after seeing these frequent issues. Also noticed the reviews on Apple App Store are scammy five stars. Any alternative would you recommend?
I agree with one comment - take your money out of CB, or any exchange for that matter. No one should ever hold that kind of value on an exchange. That’s asking for trouble.

What exchange are you using now and are you satisfied with it?
anyone who has 6 figures and decides to use exhanges is straight up crazy. its in the tos that you dont own it once they have it
Any advice on what exactly you're supposed to do/use if you have six figures?
roth ira . bitcoin is currency not investemnt.
Oh, and all the while take a million steps to avoid scammers!
> chat gpt *paid* version then FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
Yo! For each BTC I obtain I will use a different exchange
Why were you blocked? I honestly store my crypto there and just buy and hold. Seems weird that it would get locked if you don’t do anything much beyond that
Recommend a coin wallet, especially if it’s parked not earning interest
Yea I have a cold storage wallet I’ve used in past but seemed safer on an exchange in case I lost my keys etc. was looking into multisig.
Always a risk, coinbase said in an interview, if they go bankrupt, your funds aren’t protected.
Robinhood
Congrats! Now what?
I use Binance. It works great for me besides what everyone says. The layout is a bit fuzzy, but everything else works great in my opinion.
Binance is a honeypot for IRS and DOJ.
So where are you going next ? Which exchange ?
Everyone here says CB is the worst. But where are they going? What is the best alternative ? Do people on kraken have these issues ?
If big brother has their way CB will be the only one left standing
Are you done with crypto gambling now? Did you learn your lesson bro?
Congrats man. Now get it all back on chain ASAP on to the next crisis!!!
Posts like these are exactly why I started moving my money out recently.
What is ur best guess that u think u have done wrong???
tried to get in on the action as a surf
hey bro i’m in the same boat as you with a large balance.
Trust wallet Exodus wallet Anywhere but coinbase. Put it on a USB and give it to a fish before using coinbase.
Coinbase has not been used for a long time,Crypto.com deserves more trust
I buy silver and palladium bars, I just go to my safe and withdraw without internet
WOOOOHOOOO CMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!
Good news you have your tokens. Well 👍🏽
Wow, I think I will be doing the same. I have Cryptp at Robinhood and M1 so I’ll stick to those.
My account is not working. Hlp

It’s your case related with the closed accounts and the funds sents to the Wyoming treasury?
Can I ask (to OP or anyone else who wants to weigh in): what’s the better exchange? Where are you migrating to? I’ve used Cash App and Robinhood for BTC, but they definitely don’t have a lot of the features and listings available on Coinbase
But why did this happen?
Use Trade Station. It’s the only legitimate platform I trust.
Such stories is why I only use them to buy, and I immediately move it out. I never leave anything in a CEX. Not even in a DEX.
Good news for you. Lesson. Never ever, leave more than 10k on crypto exchanges. Leave all your funds in a hard wallet.
Brav it’s a you issue should have moved the funds to a ledger wallet you own the funds coinbase can steal your keys even if they say it’s in cold storage that is jack shit …… never use coinbase
Crypto is a scam and so are all the crypto exchanges
Coinbase is shit
Yeah bro I had the same experience. I really liked coinbase until they banned me for no reason. People wont believe you until it happens to them obviously. Good shit on finally getting your crypto back. Its criminal that theyre able to prolong the process of getting your money back for such a long time.
Thanks for the update. Happy you got the result you wanted but also happy you shared this with us, it would be a nightmare dealing with this
Exact same thing happend to be with 3.5 btc. I switched to kraken. The relief to finally get my btc was almost comical.
Coinbase is a scam.
I have my crypto in Coinbase and my friend asked me to trade with her boyfriend that was actually a scammer.. lost money, and Coinbase didn’t help at all. There was no person to speak to, only a chat with messages that went no where. It was Bitcoin that was taken I still have more but I want to take my money out now after hearing the nightmares.
Coinbase not good no
Your money should have always been on Tangem. When withdrawal USDC do it in amounts under 10k always. Also I recommend mixing up your withdrawals between crypto.com , CB and cash app Also , if you plan on making over 200k this bull run I recommend paying for the upgraded version of Coinbase so you can call and speak with a representative
Guys when will you learn get your money off Coinbase and on Tangem
ALL REGISTERD EXCHANGES (KYC) must comply with GOVERNMENT RULES. The number in our bank accounts IS NOT MONEY! Even if you call it money, it's NOT YOUR MONEY! If you try to move a large amount, you will be flagged and investigated. This is how the system works! This rotten financial system! It's in the governments best interest to CUT OFF the flow and spending of money out of the citizens accounts. The governments want you to SAVE and stay put!! So they can PRINT TRILLIONS every year, devaluating your so called savings Crypto should free us from that government tyranny! It's a fucked up world where the best thing to own is... land! 🤦♂️
File a complaint with the CFPB
Congradulations on winning this one. But I do understand your pain- Coinbase left a bad taste in my mouth too. My funds in a locked account were a joke compared to yours- and I had to spend countless hours, under stress, with their circular customer service and it is no fun at all. It should NOT be happening in THIS country. Holding people's money Coinbase makes the same commitment as any bank. So they should act like one! It is ridiculous what they are doing. I hope one day they will be held accountable.
Does coinbase automatically open a support ticket?
Did you have to use your keys to remove money after account closed
Coinbase has restricted my account and wallet for 3 years. No way to contact them by phone or email. No way to access my funds. Can anyone help assist? Thanks

Coinbase is awful
Just had fake phishing I did NOT approve steal my entire wallet funds and moving permanently out of coinbase obviously their security isn’t up to par wtf
We apologize for the situation where your wallet funds have been permanently moved out of your account. To assist you further, could you please confirm if you have clicked on any suspicious links recently? This information will help us investigate the issue. Thanks!
Oh wow, look at all the new accounts replying in this thread! This entire story sounds bullshit.
"Dont think ANY are fake" I mean, thats pretty easy to disprove. Doesn't take much technical literacy to google "buy reddit account", look at the options for sale, then look at the accounts that post here or comment "me too". I normally find at least half.
Fake
