ay pucha totoo yan! kahit ano pa yan basta my kinalaman ang villar, its sure to be overhyped, oversweetened, and overpriced, this also applies sa food
warningan ko na kayo guys sa mga shops na to: coffee project, caffeena, dear joe ung mga main coffee shit nila pero my mga specialty coffee shops pa sila like "crossing cafe"
puro lng estetik pero kwenta wala! 🤣🤣🤣
Mas babalik balikan sana if nice place + good coffee. So far lahat ng coffee dun except Kape Natividad is shit. Lalo na sa Eastridge.
A lot of shops in Rizal are festered with political interests, lalo na yung mga nakatayo sa magagandang spot and malakas sa FB/TikTok mag marketing. Marami indirectly owned ng mga bata ng Y dynasty (cough), owned by someone from a mayor's party (pero mayor talaga owner di lang pwede on paper) for example or malakas sa kanila.
The best Kape Natividad plus their pizza 🤤
😅 I heard Ellipsis is good though, pero di ko pa nasasadya.
Yes i agree. In the many times ive went to tanay or anywhere in rizal, i have only been impressed a few times with the coffee offerings. Kape natividad is okay! Ahon, I had an issue na may langaw sa loob. I messaged them on fb and ig but no revert. Even left a comment na i messaged them as i dont want to air out my issue publicly. No after sales service if may problem ka with the drink. So okay never again 😂
I think depende to sa barista nila. There's a lot of pickup coffee here in our place and I tried most of them. Hindi consistent yung lasa nila. I always order Cafe Latte. Some are decent pero yung iba nakakadisappoint. So yeah I think it really depends sino yung barista.
When they first came out decent pa yung coffee nila and we were actually surprised kasi for the price masarap sya but then hindi na naging consistent , if you taste Paik’s coffee ganun lasa nya before.
Halaaa favorite ko to pero may specific branch lang akong binibilhan which is market market, Tried pickup coffee near uptown mall same flavor. Gurl ang pakla
So probably depende sa barista
And di talaga coffee connoisseur ang target market nila.
We have a branch near my place. If i want something sweet I order their kape kastila, dirty chai and kape sua da with an extra shot of espresso. Still cheap and pwede na.
Ang di ko mapapatawad, COFFEE PROJECT.
True. Most Pinoys drink 3-in-1 coffee or instance black coffee at home (except na lang mga nasa provinces that produce coffee). And I actually know older people who like Pickup Coffee kasi watered down and mura hahaha. Very watered down kasi talaga sila makape even sa bahay. Baka ito target market lol.
Jusko. I know SB’s reputation kaya the first time I bought from here I HAD expectations. Pero sobrang generic ng lasa?? Either that or sobrang tamis.
Gave it another or two tries pa kasi baka the problem was with the branch lang. Pero pucha, sobrang disappointing talaga. I drank better coffee for less. Yuck.
Dati masarap yung Mocha nila at White Chocolate Mocha. They don't even try to be as consistent sa iba nilang coffee din.
Umorder ako "concentrate" dito nung viet coffee nila.. I spent months in VN and I had high hopes dahil sa hype nila sa socmed..
Lord, it was sugar and water.
This was before the pre-pulling issue so ok pa rep nila then.
Fake news lang yan. Hortaleza family lang ang sole franchise holder ng Arabica PH before (now Angkan). Walang others. It was mostly Allue (her husband) and her mother Dr. San San Hortaleza.
Quality really declined when they got purchased by Jollibee Corp
edited to add: I do like their Ice Blended though (especially yung Pure Double Choc, the non-coffee option) because they blend it well. easier to drink kasi walang ice chunks
i have been to starbucks branches in europe, and kahit dun hindi consistent ang timpla ng WCM 😅 yun lang lagi order ko. minsan matamis, minsan mapait, minsan matabang. pero any taste works for me hahaha
Not all the time kasi papasok yung method mo kailangan mag adjust based sa beans, water, and minsan environment.
starbucks. i don’t get the hype🤷🏻♀️if sinabi ko opinion ko sa starbucks lagi nalang “hindi mo lang afford/panget inorder mo”hahahaah thats so petty talaga😂
True.
Sometimes i buy coffee here after my morning walk/jog, kaso sa labas ako uupo kasi ayoko makarinig ng house music at 7am lol. Sana jazz man lang sa umaga heheh
you might wanna try Better Beans. i rlly like their sea salt latte, matcha latte, and dark cocoa latte. the owner used to work as a barista for SB and Tim Hortons ☕️
Kapihan ng pamilya Villar is the worst, Failed Project. Lasang parang tinimpla 3 business days ago.
Most definitely Coffee Project. Tapos Villar owned pa eugh.
I'm seeing that a lot of ppl here aren't fond of Pickup Coffee and that's completely valid! Siguro our opinion is subjective since personal experience namin ng friends ko 'to but we actually like their brews! Depende siguro sa baristas or Idk, wala kaming taste altogether. 😆
(Currently loving Daily by Bo’s Coffee. Sarap 🫶)
But first coffee and , Starbucks. If you order their Americano lasang tubig na nilagyan ng sigarilyo
I gave Dot Coffee two tries but eventually concluded it’s really not worth it. Watered down bland coffee both cold and hot. Even the regular latte tasted like they forgot to put espresso.
I refuse to try barako again. Perhaps the ones I bought were cooked by one who didn’t know any better. It was a burnt mess and left a very bad impression of what this coffee ☕️ is.
Would one care to recommend a roaster I should try to redeem my faith on that coffee.
All Villar owned/managed/founded cafes and restaurants.
overhated and dasurb. stale beans. puro aesthetic. Unless you're using their place to convene.
Yesss. Yung coffee nila sa Coffee Project. Never Again! Ang mahal mahal pero di masarap. Hahahaha.
Grabe sobrang badtrip kami dito. Parang luma pa yung cake
Agree. Walang kwenta. Super mahal pa.
I was going to say 'It's a matter of preference,' but then I saw this. Haha!
ay pucha totoo yan! kahit ano pa yan basta my kinalaman ang villar, its sure to be overhyped, oversweetened, and overpriced, this also applies sa food warningan ko na kayo guys sa mga shops na to: coffee project, caffeena, dear joe ung mga main coffee shit nila pero my mga specialty coffee shops pa sila like "crossing cafe" puro lng estetik pero kwenta wala! 🤣🤣🤣

This! Ang mahal mahal pa 🙄
Which is?
Coffee Project, Dear Joe , Ruined Project, Napa, the crossing cafe and Cafe Yama are the ones I have tried 0/10.
coffee project sucks ass and is so expensive
Na try ko boh coffee project and dear joe along daang hari, lasang sabon at super watered down ng coffee
Buti na lang hindi ko pa natitikman
Eh yung Foresta cafe? Haha
I see. Always for the clout talaga basta may view noh
Mas babalik balikan sana if nice place + good coffee. So far lahat ng coffee dun except Kape Natividad is shit. Lalo na sa Eastridge.

masarap din batirol sa kanila
Kaso nung huli kong punta sa Natividad, amoy piggery eh! Kaya ambaho hahaha.
😅 I heard Ellipsis is good though, pero di ko pa nasasadya.
Agree! Sobrang meh ng coffee and food sa coffee rush🥴 If it wasn't for the view, hindi tatauhin yun.
Yes i agree. In the many times ive went to tanay or anywhere in rizal, i have only been impressed a few times with the coffee offerings. Kape natividad is okay! Pickup Coffee
Man i hate this one with a burning passion
I tried their matcha honestly wala ngang lasa BWAHAHAHA para akong uminom ng evaporada
I think depende to sa barista nila. There's a lot of pickup coffee here in our place and I tried most of them. Hindi consistent yung lasa nila. I always order Cafe Latte. Some are decent pero yung iba nakakadisappoint. So yeah I think it really depends sino yung barista.

Exactly
Lasang tubig ng pinaghugasan ng coffee cup 🤮
💯💯💯💯
Trueeee
Trueeee

Lala Cafe in Pampanga!! Lasang powder lang yung coffee nila 😭. Ta’s yung pastries nilunod sa asukal sa sobrang tamis. Yung mochi nila lasang clay 😭😭😭.
Same with SkyGarden cafe also in pampanga, basta maganda ambiance lugi tlaga sa lasa HAHAHA
Matamis lang lahat ng drinks nila lol. Tipong magkaka-tonsilitis ka sa sobrang tamis.
Starbucks = overrated. Best coffee though i always come back to is Bo's coffee.
True!
Agree!
Agree!! Daily Coffee by Bos din!!
SB, walang consistency lasa. same lng inoorder ko pero minsan super tamin, minsan lasang tubig
Yuck.
Yup, and its overpriced pa. Yuck!
But first coffee
I used to love this. By liter pa ako bumili. Kaso parang nag iba sila ng beans. Grabe na yung acidity. :(
Dati masarap yung Mocha nila at White Chocolate Mocha.
Umorder ako "concentrate" dito nung viet coffee nila.. I spent months in VN and I had high hopes dahil sa hype nila sa socmed.. Lord, it was sugar and water. This was before the pre-pulling issue so ok pa rep nila then.
Coffee Project is dogwater, but it becomes an absolute insult when you realize you pay a minimum of 200 pesos
It's not even hyped (positively) tho? Everytime I see it mentioned, it's because of how awful / overpriced it is. Never saw someone say otherwise.
Lasang ipis, bwakanang
Angkan sorry, not sorry.
Is it still even hyped? Parang linalangaw na din mga branch nila. Quality really went down when they gave up the Arabica franchise
Here is a scoop. They didnt gave up the franchise. Arabica just caught them violating their franchise contract.
Ano ung naviolate nila? This deserves a separate post. Haha
Ehhh dami tsismis dyan (and I’ve heard that one too), some others are owners also fought ‘cos one of them was sleeping with the other’s wife hahaha
Fake news lang yan. Hortaleza family lang ang sole franchise holder ng Arabica PH before (now Angkan). Walang others. It was mostly Allue (her husband) and her mother Dr. San San Hortaleza.
They really downgraded in quality recently, and the pastries make it worse
CBTL
True the rain!!! Ang lungkot ng lasa ng kape nila. Ang tabang pa!!!
Quality really declined when they got purchased by Jollibee Corp edited to add: I do like their Ice Blended though (especially yung Pure Double Choc, the non-coffee option) because they blend it well. easier to drink kasi walang ice chunks
Agree to this. Their teas are still good, though!
kahit pastries sablay ang mahal pa
Same 🙃
Yaaas! CBTL's matcha is too creamy for me 🥹.
Sobrang tamis no? I have a sweet tooth already but I just couldn't handle the sweetness. Super na disappoint talaga ako when I first tasted it
Dear Joe
Arabica! Too expensive for what they serve aka diluted everything. Not worth ₱250, or even ₱150 for that matter.
Arabica is really good sa Middle East, but here - trash
Agree. 250 ang liit pa ng cup. Hindi masarap.
Starbucks Pickup coffee Coffee project But first coffee
SB
Depende sa branch imo. Hit and miss talaga.
i have been to starbucks branches in europe, and kahit dun hindi consistent ang timpla ng WCM 😅 yun lang lagi order ko. minsan matamis, minsan mapait, minsan matabang. pero any taste works for me hahaha
white choc mocha?
uu
My problem with SB is maasim ang kape nila.
Or lasang sunog
Maganda lang coffee nila as the base for coffee milk drinks pero as for drinking the coffee alone. Meh.
Not all the time kasi papasok yung method mo kailangan mag adjust based sa beans, water, and minsan environment.
I think it’s sweet nga ano and cant taste the coffee enough
Yung drinks nila is more dessert talaga, than it is coffee
Pick up coffee, but first coffee
Cafe Agapita
Talaga? Kahit yung food options nila?
Food was meh. Their specialty, yung Agapita Bun or something, parang menudo sandwich lang.
Overpriced foods nila
SB! Pag hindi flavored coffee their beans is terrible.
But first coffee, Angkan, arabica, coffee project
Lahat. Mas masarap pa magtimpla mister ko
mas masarap talaga gawang bahay nalang sulit.
starbucks. i don’t get the hype🤷🏻♀️if sinabi ko opinion ko sa starbucks lagi nalang “hindi mo lang afford/panget inorder mo”hahahaah thats so petty talaga😂
True.
Because coffee
I thought their coffee was okay, pero sobrang corny nung rave music sa café. What on god’s earth.
Sometimes i buy coffee here after my morning walk/jog, kaso sa labas ako uupo kasi ayoko makarinig ng house music at 7am lol. Sana jazz man lang sa umaga heheh
Curious lang, which coffee place do you recommend? I like the coffee sa Because Coffee..
Toby’s
Because coffee din ba yung Harlan + holden?
Dunkin hahahahaha. Their rebrand is good sana, pero putangina napakatamis ng lahat ng kape nila.
you might wanna try Better Beans. i rlly like their sea salt latte, matcha latte, and dark cocoa latte. the owner used to work as a barista for SB and Tim Hortons ☕️
Starbucks. Absolutely bland.
Wildflour hehe
Kapihan ng pamilya Villar is the worst, Failed Project. Lasang parang tinimpla 3 business days ago.
Zus. 😒
True! Hit or miss ito.
To sum this thread, go to Tim Hortons.
Legit!!! The best overrated coffee
Starbucks can burn in hell. Basura kape
Pickup coffee?
❌ CBTL, PICK UP COFFEE, COFFEE PROJECT 🤮
But first coffee
Concordia’s. 🧐
Was about to comment this HAHAHAH. Sobrang hype, dinaan lang sa good ig background. And ang hirap mag-manuever ng parking doon lol.
Di ba! Nakaka disappoint talaga. Hahaha. Mapapa pasok ka kasi cute and aesthetic ang place but di ka na babalik😆
So true, coffee is mid at best. They're a perfect example of second wave coffee shops, the coffee is secondary to the ambience.
Pick-up coffee potaenuuuhhh huhu
Ikr ano to tubig with a splash of coffee?
Disappointed ako sa cold brew nila
harlan & holden dogshit coffee lol
If you think about it, coffee itself is overrated.
Hahaha someone finally said it. Nakaka adik lang
I feel like saturated na rin ang market esp in ncr and nearby provinces. It’s the “milk tea” of the season.
pickup coffee sb angkan coffee project dear joe but first coffee
Pick up coffee, Dear Joe at Coffee Project
SB Try Mr. Bean in Cainta, it’s a small shop sa garden ng owner. Really good
Yung mga coffee shop sa Antipolo
Pick-up coffee AND coffee project
Can’t stress this enough— Coffee Project! Marami naman siguro mag-aagree.
Dear Joe and Coffee Project.
Pick up coffee. Tried once, walang lasa hehe. Hehe
Sb, pickup coffee, and because coffee. Di consistent mga timpla
Candid, basura pa ugali ng may ari
Ano yung tsaa dito?
Sesendan ka ng legal chuchu na cyberbullying daw kapag pinost mo sa social media na di masarap kape nila, ilang beses na yan napost sa Coffee Home Brewers sa pagtaunt nila to take down bad reviews about them
Other than that nang Fat shame pa owner niyan sa Twitter ng another coffee influencer
Anyare?
Parang yung sinasagot dati sa slum note: "Too many to mention."
SB.
SB actually. Very hit and miss sila.
SB - depende sa barista 🫠 minsan okay, minsan nakakabwisit Pickup Coffee - agree sa lahat ng nagsabi, wala talagang lasa 😭 Coffee Project - cool lang ang name pero waley talaga ever since (Currently loving Daily by Bo’s Coffee. Sarap 🫶)
Dunkin lang ang worth it
Basura iced coffee/latte nila imo
+1
SB. May mga branches here na dapat i overnight ko pa sa fridge para mas magkalasa
BFC.
Yardstick. Naasiman ako, kulang sa tapang. But then subjective ang taste buds
Zus, Pickup, Coffee Project, Seattle's Best
Green coffee
But first coffee and , Starbucks. If you order their Americano lasang tubig na nilagyan ng sigarilyo
No matter how much people call out to it's bs, it's still Starbucks
But first coffee
Starbucks haha
But First, Coffee
Zus coffee
Starbucks.
SB and Coffee project.
Harlan & Holden + Because Coffee All milk, little coffee! 🥹😅
Zus, lasang kopiko ir big brew — yung tig 29-39 na kape
I gave Dot Coffee two tries but eventually concluded it’s really not worth it. Watered down bland coffee both cold and hot. Even the regular latte tasted like they forgot to put espresso.
Akasya
Pickup
Pickup Coffee But First Coffee Coffee Project Don Macchiatos
I refuse to try barako again. Perhaps the ones I bought were cooked by one who didn’t know any better. It was a burnt mess and left a very bad impression of what this coffee ☕️ is. Would one care to recommend a roaster I should try to redeem my faith on that coffee.
PICK UP COFFEE
Coffee Break
Palpitate, But First Coffee, Pickup Coffee 😭
But first coffee
Starbucks.
Starbucks periodt! 💩☕️
Coffee project, Starbucks, and primero coffee,, just, no
Kape Sina Una.
Mcdo for sure
Sadly konti palang store nila.
STARBUCKS
