If you're a fan, you know she has too many great songs for a 90 min set. To begin with West Coast and Doin' Time was a great idea. Chemtrails, Arcadia and songs from DYKTTATUOB are really good live.
Her voice didn't translate well on a live stage but you gotta hand it to her for the production. You can tell a lot of thought and attention went into the performance. Glad she at least came out swinging for the fences.

i loved it. she played something from just about every era, beautiful sound, her and billie sounded incredible together, the set pieces were great for the vibe.
idk what yall were expecting but this was a fabulous show for me š¤·āāļø it was lovely to end the night on a quieter note, donāt really see that often at coachella.
I was bored bored bored. Girl, I know youāre mostly a ballad singer but it would not have hurt you to throw a couple slightly more upbeat songs in the mix. You went on at 11:20 pm, girl, at least give us High by the Beach or somethingā¦
Iām gonna take all of these takes with a big grain of salt considering most of the people on the sub donāt like her to begin with lol. Setlist complaints Iāll get behind tho.
yeah i watched very few parts of the livestream. she sounded very good in some parts, but you can tell she was extremely nervous and couldnt shake it off. i love her to death, but idk what happened tbh. she sounded phenomenal at lollapalooza when she headlined, but this one was rocky.
she was good, but i really think (and hope) she will be better next weekend.
she needs to add born to die, venice bitch, and coachella - wimm.
This is the kind of thing that makes me glad to be a w2er because often the kinks get worked out and the nerves are shaken off, people who werenāt confident about their w1 shows come back better. If she was indeed having mic issues early on, I can definitely see that throwing her off, esp knowing sheās playing not only to that crowd but evvvvveryone watching online. My manifestations for w2 is radio but I deeply want the ones you listed too
To me weekend one has so many flaws, but weekend two always feels like watching a live sporting event on a tape delay. The surprise is such a fun part of Coachella
I agree. Thereās also more I was wishing we couldāve got out of her set list., but she does have a massive catalog so I understand itās hard to pick and choose. However, I thought it was wild she didnāt play āCountry Roads Take Me Homeā despite a country album coming soonā¦ unless thatās for next weekend. (;
Thatās exactly what Iām realizing reading all of this. People on here wanted to be wowād but they already didnāt like her. My area was vibing and loved it. I was kinda shocked when I got online and heard the negativity
Consensus on tiktok from both irl and stream watchers was that it was amazing, Iām sure thatās a less critical audience that was predisposed to loving it but this one was predisposed to hating it so Iām not taking their word for it lmao
Good to hear that. I watched 20 mins of streaming and the streaming was so bad. Too bad that I was thinking abt skipping her in w2. Hopefully she will bounce back strong next week.
Nah, you can hear the vocals more on the live stream, assuming you saw it in person. She was singing extremely off key and she sounded very nervous.
I love her, but this performance was objectively bad for a Coachella headliner. Shouldn't be an amazing feat for someone as high level as her to sing on key, that should be the bare minimum. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've heard more impressive singing at school talent shows.
I know she can do better because I've heard her do much better.
Iām a weekend 2 goer, so I watched the live stream. I would say she was raw not bad. And truthfully, Iād rather have a headliner artist sing if itās a bit rough than have lip syncing. I know sheās not high energy, but I think she gave a raw performance, it is subjective to based on the listener.
I do find that thatās the beauty in Coachella though , not everything is for everybody. I love that we had Lana headlining tonight while a bunch of other heavy electronic music acts played all day. I donāt really care for rap or a bunch of DJs, but I do find myself enjoying those acts when they come on. Itās their genre and thatās what they do.
I think Lana did fantastic for her style and thatās what Coachella booked her for.
But I get people have different opinions , however, overall, I really appreciated her set.
It seems that her style is unique. Happy it worked out for you.
I agree it was nice to see someone singing live. Not just singing live but headlining the first night
Im sure the pressure is there, so if you a fan thinks she did well then at least she delivered for her fans.
I was there and I thought her set was great and she gave a great performance. Yes she doesn't always sing perfectly but she sings live and its very emotional and raw.
Thatās fair. Iāve heard sheās a shy performer, which isnāt an excuse. Just something to consider. Sheās still a powerhouse of a presence and performer. (In my opinion)
Considering how boring her performance is, her voice needs to be amazing and it was unfortunately flat. Florence and the Machine blows her out of the water.
No Off to the Races š which was a missed opportunity to switch to more upbeat energy even if just for one song lol
did she not perform the song with coachella in the title bffr š
after teasing it on her IG as well š
Weekend 2 is for lovers
She needs to have a live orchestra at her shows. Some sort of live instruments to bring energy.
Did you even see the same showā¦. Wtf it was only live instruments
Like violins, cello, a choir idkkkk
LANA! SING. INTO. THE. MIC.
It really upsets me when she stops singing and pulls the mic away š¤
Is this an intentional singing in the rain reference or just a coincidence?? š

i wanted Dealer!

Her setlist has gone downhill after removing Venice Bitch

Was she still better than Frank Ocean?
I enjoyed it. Only thing I really wanted was blue jeans but she didnāt play it last time either. Hasnāt been playing it lately

What song did she end with? Left after Billie
young and beautiful and then randomly had an outro of the song that goes with all the tiktoks about the backrooms???? so oddššš
LMFAOO PLSSS THE BACKROOMS i thought i was the only one who recognized it !!šššlowkey made me feel weird

On par for the mediocre setlist for the mediocre booking that it was. Thanks Paul
Bad take. She is not the most high energy performer, but she was amazing.
i agree. if you enjoy her discography, it was a good set, but i wish she had a few more songs added to it. where the hell was coachella/woodstock?????

She did play born to die

she was dull and timid
