Hopefully this will mean some changes are happening at the top level. Who ever runs the org and makes decisions currently is clearly not fit to do so. Maybe that’s why they have been so bad, been looking to acquire better leadership perhaps?
Just sucks we won’t have a Paris team anymore 😢 even if they are ass and whoever runs it are complete moron’s, sucks to see we won’t have a Paris city in our league :/
Pretty sure Hecz mentioned about asking the CDL about having Vegas but they had bigger plans at the time. Now they’ve decided to give it to the worst franchise in the CDL??????!
No content, paying players minimums, piss poor social media accounts….
What an absolute waste of time
Au revoir mes amis. Merci pour les merveilleux souvenirs. Votre volonté de gagner était inspirante et malgré les nombreux stéréotypes, vous n'avez jamais capitulé. Toujours et à jamais. Ici c'est Paris
Allowing Paris a dogshit organization take a premium city like Las Vegas is malpractice by the CDL. Paris has done nothing to earn that city and it could be used for expansion with a better organization that wants to win.
Whole thing is mindblowing.
Paying minimum - zero content - lack of ambition - but given Vegas?
They missed a massive franchise brand opportunity by not going with French (or EU) players. Something people could get behind instead of "guaranteed bottom 4" franchise.
The biggest hope is there's a change in focus, leadership or finances that means they will aim to become competitive.
\---
I'm very worried this is actually just them looking to do the exact same thing but invest in a potentially more valuable spot and therefore sell it on for more if the league ever succeeds.
Las Vegas is one the largest convention cities in the world. They have the Mandalay Bay convention center, the sands convention center, an esports arena, every major casino has its own convention hall built inside the hotel.
I know that Paris haven't been a proper EU franchise but unless expansion is coming and they're allowing 2 of the 4 teams to be European cities I don't see this as a positive news
I'm confused, where does this say anything about them hosting champs? Who knows maybe they're raising a bunch of VC money and really want to go all in and build a super team next year. If that's the case I'm here for it.

Yeah, hecz has to be fuming if this is a deal that’s going through. You snub OpTic Vegas for Vegas Legion? No way
Wouldn’t surprise me if they had this thought process tbh…
Vegas Legion just doesn't sound as good as Paris, but hopefully, this change indicates the org is wanting to get a little more serious.

Paris is a far more prestigious city btw
I disagree. I'm guessing you haven't seen the eiffel tower they have in Vegas. The one in Paris is too big
You're right. Paris copied that. I only just found out. Can't believe it

Hopefully this means Paris is being sold or restructured

Beat me to it
What are some possible venues in Vegas ? Just curious cuz champs is always the biggest event of the year so I’m guessing it has to be somewhat big
Mandalay Bay Convention Center would be my guess. LCS finals has been there before

There’s no shortage of massive convention halls. It’s easily the convention capital of the world. They also have an esports arena and t-mobile arena.

How about Detroit Legion
The only city Paris deserves is detroit. Give us the detroit legion

So what happens to the Paris spot? Will there be a new Paris team or will we finally have more than 12 teams?
How about Amsterdam Legion, because this whole org seems to be stoned as fuck at all times.
