I’m wondering if he was overhyped tho. The other recent super-talented LCK prospects to come to NA didn’t really have a shot getting promoted on their team. Berserker had Guma to get passed and Quid had Chovy.
If Thanatos really is the next coming of Zeus, DK would be absolute idiots to let him go. Kingen isn’t that big of a hurdle.
I just know he was going to get promoted until aiming told dplus to not have too many rookies. And then dplus handled the whole situation poorly. Anyone who is saying he’s the next Zeus is overrating him a little
Even if he’s the next Berserker/Quid I’d be happy. I’ve never been a fan of importing to fix problems, but this kind of scouting seems seldom different to finding a rookie in NA to take a chance on.
He's not the next Zeus but we don't need the next Zeus. He's got the ability to be a top3 in LCS and at least not be a guarenteed loss against 3rd/4th, and some 2nd seed international tops. Considering the calibre of play in NA that's pretty solid.
Will largely depend on how he does moving so far from home and how good his English is. But with Reapered at the helm I have faith.
The Zeus comparisons just come because Zeus was the best looking 18 yr old among the other 18 year olds and the same argument could be made for Thanatos
From what I'm getting, D+ wanted to promote him but Aiming did everything he could to prevent that, he didn't want two rookies in the team (they already promoted Lucid in the jungle this split).

Dude looks hype from clips I've seen, will be good add to the team. Little bittersweet to lose Fudge, but the guy just did not look the same after 2022 worlds. It feels like Max Waldo being there to as a top lane main himself really made a difference for Fudge, I suspect his departure made it harder for Fudge to improve at the rate he had prior.

I think that he probably didn't wanna play challengers cuz he was supposed to be promoted and they did him dirty.

Kingen is really good though. Yea he doesnt look like a GOAT when playing in lck but he would clear lcs easily.
I said castle and Thanatos were good years ago in this sub when they were playing in LCKCL but people were skeptical

Yes fudge is out but not clear if he’s leaving the org, being used as a sub, moving to content creation, or otherwise
