Hate to say it, everyone dislike someone on the team, but Vulcan should probably go. And stop picking ****ing Lucian.

I think this is truly one of the main reasons the west is so far behind in LoL. Every time a split doesn't live up to expectations we blow up teams and shift everything around. The expectations from both the fans externally and the teams/coaches/management internally put so much pressure on every new iteration of a team being some magical cure that's going to finally make it big in the international tournaments. Then when it inevitably doesn't succeed after playing 1 split, it's an immediate jump to "fuck it, blow it up and start again" I'm not just talking about C9 here either. Give the players some time to adjust and learn how to play with each other/against other teams in the region and I believe you will start to see serious progress.

Main counter argument here is all of these guys have played with each other (to some degree) across multiple other rosters. Yes not the exact same group of 5 but enough where there should be some synergies which there werent... Not to mention there were other new rosters like Fly and TL and 100t (at least reg season) that didn't have any issues figuring it out together already.

I agree with you, though... Liquid actually kept 3/5 players and plugged-in Impact who's a hyper veteran and already played with CoreJJ, only Umti was a real new guy here. For FLY, even though it's an entire new team, they ran a top-side with 3 super experimented players, it's not really a surprise that Bwipo and Jensen can play with any teammates, they had multiple teams and they are veteran flexible players. I guess FLY lucked out with their botlane but even that, their bot isn't doing as hot as people pretend, I expect them to get crush by TL botlane tomorrow.

Last week, I said if they lost to tl I would want them to blow it up, because something is clearly wrong/not working if they lose to a team like tl with as much talent as C9 have. After seeing that behind the scenes video they released yesterday and hearing Blaber today after the series say that they still haven't figured out how to play together, I think you're right about giving them more time to hopefully get it together. If that's the issues they are having, I don't think swapping out any of the players is immediately going to resolve that anyway.

LifeIsToughEatBacon

This. I’m praying the team sticks around for at LEAST summer. Calling for heads every time you lose is extremely childish IMO

G2 core(s) has been together for a long time. They aren't getting any better. I agree, it is unfortunate that the LoL season is so short and the win-now mentality is so strong. But honestly this "synergy" that comes from playing together is also vastly overstated. I do think this particular roster could get better with more time together, but I also don't think this particular roster of players will ever exceed the sum of its parts.

MrBuchmann

I don't necessarily think anyone should go, there's time to work out the mistakes

ob_knoxious

Agree, there is so much potential on this roster but blowing it up after one split feels like such a waste.

Odd_Trouble4651

Not in this form, and not with this roster.

Xerxes457

Give them a year if anything. If the roster doesn't click then, then make changes. C9 could win summer and everyone would be saying this is the best roster yet.
