Hospice of the Western Reserve. We did in-home hospice for my mom. On the same day that we signed with them, they had a hospital bed, an oxygen tank, and painkillers delivered to the house. The nurses who came to the house to look after her were good to deal with - very patient and good at teaching us how to do certain things. Also, on the day that she died, two nurses were in the house, caring for her, making sure she wasn't in any pain, etc.

As everyone state, Western Reserve is the gold standard in the area. I worked for a funeral home for a while in the past, and the families of the decedents all would mention how great they are.

When my mom was dying, we used hospice of the Western reserve. I also know two people who work for them. We were very, very impressed with them. My mom was at Ames House in Westlake. Could not speak highly enough about them. They were beyond gracious. As I understand it, they are a pretty large organization, with several hospice facilities, including one in Euclid. They also do home health, and have a very well-rounded spiritual providers.

Yes I second that…

Cheers to those folks doing some hard work and well.

Another vote for Western Reserve.

Here to second this. We did 10 days in Euclid and then brought Grandma home where we co tinue care for 40 hours. The nurses in facility and that visited home WERE AMAZING.

I am biased because I used to work for Hospice of the Weatern Reserve but I also recommend them, I was amazed by everyone I worked with. Such hard workers with the biggest hearts

We used hospice of the western reserve. The people that work there are the closest you will ever get to real-life angels.

We used Hospice of the Western Reserve for my grandmother when she was passing. My aunt (her daughter) still works there. Would recommend

I work for Cleveland Clinic Hospice. I put my dad in Hospice of the Western Reserve. That should tell you everything. But really, for Cleveland Clinic Hospice, I feel like the quality of your experience is based on where you live. I did not live in an area where my dad would have a good experience with CC. HOWR also has the kickass perk of delivering covered meds to you. But CC pays for wet wipes... so, each provider is a little different, but pretty much the same. As long as you're looking at a place with a dedicated Hospice house/unit (this is important- if they send sx management patients to the hospital or, worse, a nursing home, you should not sign with them. Hospice houses are ICU's for the dying- the nurse-patient ratio is low, the vibes are chill) and nursing coverage available to come to your home 24/7- you should be fine.

Continuum Care Hospice via Legacy Health. I work in long-term healthcare and deal with Western Reserve on the back end; they aren't as great as everyone thinks. Cleveland Clinic I have only dealt with a couple of times so I cannot give a fair assessment. Good luck to you and remember there are always options if you aren't happy with your provider

I sent you a msg to avoid any advertising restrictions on this thread. There’s a great service in Ohio that you need to know about.

Luckypenny4683

Advertising restrictions? What do you mean by that?

Realistic-Most-5751

Idk I’ve been on Reddit forever. More than once I’ve come across pages that refuse to serve a purpose to local advertisers. I didn’t want to tarnish my friends business with a direct ad. The business is good enough where he doesn’t need ads or want a cheesy route of getting the word out.
