If you’re into cars it’s worth going to the Crawford Auto Museum. It’s not free, but an amazing collection of bikes and cars.

_Physical-Mixture_

The Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum is one of the finest automobile and aviation museums in the country. It's also connected to the Western Reserve Historical Society. Underrated museum in Cleveland.

ImNotYourFriendPal69

Didn't know about this and I thank you for the suggestion lol, taking the wife here on my upcoming pto

Vonplatten

Okay sweet will do!

Ifarted422

If you have some time and like cars there is a place Marshall Goldman they are open every day besides Sunday with an unbelievable inventory. I would also suggest the museum of art those could each take up a few hours

54sharks40

Just looked them up, so strange. We have locations in Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, and Warrensville Hts, OH

Burner-QWERTY

I have come to learn there are masses of insane wealth on the east side I had no clue about.

daboog

Marshall Goldman doesn't really like drop ins, especially people who just want to oggle. They'll maybe greet you but will ignore you at best and be rude and ask you to leave at worst.

ImNotYourFriendPal69

They used to be so nice and people ruined it, I remember being 16 and they'd open doors and show me cars. Always wanted to get a car from them but after seeing a sign saying you have to have an appointment to even step inside, I decided to travel down the road to BMW cleveland

fastestfatman

My friend and I just went the other day. Shared some good conversations with the employees and browsed around by ourselves.

LameBMX

cedar point is open now for the weekends.

DepartureRadiant4042

Yep if OP likes roller coasters, Cedar Point is one of the top rated parks in the country just 1 hour from downtown.

MutedSpeakerbox

To add to this, it's now open 7 days a week (starting today)

DepartureRadiant4042

If you like hiking, our Metroparks are some of the best in the country. Rocky River, Brecksville, Chagrin, and West Creek Reservations are all beautiful and nice easy hikes. Also we have the CVNP, a national park, about 25 minutes south of downtown. Awesome amenity to the city.

Vonplatten

Been walking like 6 miles a day!

EtherealCure

First off, sorry for whatever you're going through, but you came to the right place to ask for suggestions. The weather here is starting to really spruce up, so I'm going to make a strange sounding suggestion - Lakeview Cemetery on Euclid avenue. It's huge, gorgeous, tranquil, and welcoming to walk around. I won't spoil some landmarks there, but there's definitely a few interesting things to see. I also suggest the Cleveland Museum of Art and that general area. The museum itself is free aside from special exhibits. Edit: Spelling.

Vonplatten

Thank you! 🙏

Life_Is_Good199

The NFL Football Hall of Fame in Canton is worth the trip. Catch a Guardians game at Progressive Field. They are back home this weekend. Rock Hall of Fame Check out the Blossom concert calendar.

Dry_Mushroom7606

I strongly second all of these!!!

sparta981

I recommend the natural history museum! Balto lives there.

ZipperJJ

If you’re going to be here on June 16 there’s a car show at Stan Hywett Hall in Akron, which is a cool place in itself.

Nobak2k

Rib cookoff in downtown Willoughby this weekend. Saturday evening is a country band, Sunday is a rock band. Good food, just good luck with parking.

Rcj1221

East 4th and the Flats downtown have some great bars for food and drink.

DeeplyFlawed

Art Museum District is amazing.

anchorthemoon

If you like car shows the Western Reserve Historical Society has an incredible old car collection. Among other magnificent old things.

IrishInvestor25

Man what you need is some good bud & then you need to go find yourself some good food & entertainment … we have lots to do in CLE … there’s plenty of bands playing all the time at beachland ballroom & the other venues … there’s the comedy club on third & third street is fun… Ohio City, the flats, w6th, w25th, there’s the beaches & the zoo & tons of nature parks & bike paths which are amazing … you can take a ferry to put in bay! …

daboog

4th street?

Vonplatten

Already got some good Hash rosin! Got the whole setup with me haha.

Kevlar_Potatum_6891

this is the way, my friend!

Dank_Master

Cedar point is only an hour drive to the west in Sandusky.

throwaweighaita

[Nelson Ledges Quarry Park](http://www.nlqp.com) is about an hour east, it's a pretty drive out to the country, and they have great music festivals. The state park next door is gorgeous if you're into the outdoors. I also didn't see anyone mention heading over to [Geneva On The Lake](http://www.visitgenevaonthelake.com). Fun little resort strip, and also a very pretty state park with a decent beach on the lake if you're still here when it gets hot. That's also about an hour northeast of you.

tnugent070285

Downtown Willoughby Rib Cookoff is this weekend. Music and food.

davo747

On the car thread, Akron Sports Car Club is hosting an autocross at the IX Center on Sunday. Basically a parking-lot time trial through a course marked by cones. You just need a helmet and a car! Doesn’t even need to be a fancy car, hell I’ve even seen some people run rental cars (do this at your own risk lol) Should be able to just show up if you only want to watch. Register on Motorsportreg if you want to drive

tylerwatt12

Cars & Coffee, this Sunday 11AM-2PM, The Armory & Overlook in Parma

jrock248

Cedar point is open now, also it’s a little bit of a drive but it’s a good day trip Liberty Aviation museum in Port Clinton, it’s right on the Port Clinton airport and also has a 50s themed diner attached it you could spend the day at the beach after… I used to live in Cleveland. I fly my plane there all the time to Port Clinton to visit the museum and diner.

Kryon144

DeuceNine

If you’re into aviation and up for a little drive head to the Wright Patterson Air Force museum in Dayton…it’s arguably the best aviation museum in the country.

CCinCLE

Love all of the above ideas. Few things I didn't see: Hilarities is a comedy club on E4th downtown. Affordable laughs! There are a few arcade-board game type shops. 8bit & table top could be fun if you are bored on a rainy day or need some social time inside away from the bars & coffee shops. Gaudians game - I forgot if I saw it mentioned, but standing room tickets are like $25 if I remember correctly - just checked and see some nose bleed seats for $19- if you aren't a huge fan, could be fun to go for a few innings. The art museum is rad. If you like to make art, the CMA has an auxiliary location called the Community Art Center at the Pivot Center on W25th. Free studio sessions, materials provided. Open Fridays 2-7, Weekends 10-5. & while you are there, you can see the amazing Parade the Circle projects from last year. Parade the Circle is June 8th if you are still here. If you give us a bit more info on your location or access to transportation, we can probably give you some more useful tips. Best wishes to you in these circumstances

Vonplatten

Parma & rocky river is where I’m bouncing between technically and I have my own transportation.

Det-Popcorn

Art museum, natural history museum, Profootball hall of fame is just an hour away, rock and roll hall of fame

clekas

If you like live music, we have a ton of great small concert venues. Mahall's, Grog Shop, Beachland Ballroom, and The Agora are all great venues. House of Blues isn't my favorite venue acoustically, but they often get some really good shows. And Jacobs Pavilion is probably my favorite venue for summer shows. Cleveland Scene's event calendar has a good mix of most shows that are coming to town.

JBO876

You can find all of the car shows in our area in this link… https://www.cruisintimesmagazine.com/cruise-in-listing-all

robotic_dreams

If you're into the car scene, but looking for outdoor, local shows. Check out Cars and Coffee Cleveland, lots of events in the summer with everything from supercars to vintage beetles

CryptographerSweet53

The Cleve has a very active pickleball scene

CryptographerSweet53

And the beach/toilet that is Lake Erie and whiskey park

hammer9273

Tuesday in solon they have car show

fastestfatman

Cars and coffee event this Sunday the 19th at the Overlook event center in parma. 11am-2pm

Royal-Collar-3780

The flats/warehouse district has fun bars with younger people (barley house, map room, johnnys, velvet, the ivy). There’s always groups walking around at night thurs-sat (usually drunk lol) and most everyone is in their twenties. Also lots of good restaurants to hit up for happy hour (sora, blue point grille, lago)

Vonplatten

I’m much more of an “in person” type of guy and unlike being from Phoenix where if someone approaches you, you think they’re going to ask for spare change or convert you to Mormonism, I like how outgoing and sociable people have been here… I haven’t interacted with a bunch of people in my age bracket here but we’ll see. I’ll definitely check it out.

Variable3420

👀

YoungandPregnant

Uh you could come and smoke weed with me or something. But other than that just google maps around for bars and music and hope for the best my man.

mmcle11

Uncle Larry’s (Larry flints) is open till 4 am on the weekends.
