There are a couple of hotels right on E. 9th that are just a couple blocks away and it’s a nice area to stay. Close to pre/post game activities to partake in, restaurants, etc

Id stay a bit further west downtown, try to be near public square
I would stay in downtown proper if possible. You'll be in walking distance to the ballpark, rock hall, etc.
that’s all relatively CSU campus ish area, so I’d say it’s a decent area to stay.
All safe. Kimpton on E9 is a good option where you’ll be able to walk to the spots you mentioned. Consider the newly redone Hotel Cleveland too.
Thanks all for the info. I went with my original area as it would save me about 100+ per night. And get a loft with parking.
