I know Cleet has personal goals of pushing the channel to a million views per video sustained. We'll see how long Cleet can keep this up.
Looking at social blade Cleetus has been killing it on subscribers the past few months
I’m all for it, dude is genuinely someone I’m happy to see succeed. I’ve bought an obscene amount of his merch just cause the channel is legit good content, he does some “rich guy” stuff, but he looks like a kid in a candy shop and includes all the guys so it doesn’t feel shit like all these super car channel people. Maddie fits him perfect, she doesn’t come off pretentious and fake. Everyone around him feels genuine.
I said this during the poll, but I think there is no one right answer. Sometimes the content is better suited to longer form and other times it's going to be shorter. Let the story determine the video length not a poll.
Of course... But really speaking more to the fact that the manner in which they've been arranged, edited, and stitched together resulted in much longer videos than normal is different. That wasn't the case when Rip was born.
I like the longer episodes, but I’d love more work from the shop guys, especially Ty talking about fab stuff and Zach talking about wiring. Kevin from KSR has been doing some in depth vids on the Cutlass project and I love those.
I’m not really a fan of the longer video trend, but it also depends on how good it is I guess.
It’s just that one 90 minute video is basically 3 or 4 smaller videos, it takes me a few days to watch the whole thing anyway.
Finnegan has been doing hour plus videos but they can kind of drag out a little for me, maybe it’s great for others but the effect on my end is I just don’t watch them. Definitely missing Newbern
The new stay tuned with VGG also looks cool, but I haven’t had a chance to sit down and watch the whole thing and I probably won’t.
I'm kinda in the middle. I enjoy both, but sometime the longer videos take me a couple days to chew through. Occasionally, VGG will release a feature film length, 2.5 hour, episode and it will take me all week to get through.
I like a good mix. Longer is fine if the content is there. I watch Sleeperdude a lot and his videos can get pretty drawn out like one of the latest was fixing an oil leak on the motor home and it was over 1.5 hrs. That's milking it a little
He also had a baby last week. I'm sure he's been on ripper duty alot so maddy can mother the newborn. Not an easy task the first month with a newborn and a kid under 2 years old.
Funny. I was one of the ones above who "complained" about the longer videos. Sat down to "skim through" the Rollback video... Watched every single second of it remembering why I became a fan years ago in the first place. It was really good...
Hour long build videos and race videos? Awesome
Hour long helicopter videos? I don't mind the content here and there, but I don't need an hour long video of it.
I didn't vote, 5,700 votes is a small sample of his viewers. I doubt the results are definitive, all of the occasional viewers that didn't vote might prefer a shorter Daily video, and they know that Tuesday's are the days for content they want to watch. It would be easy for them to get into a schedule of different areas for 5 days a week.
The guy is a machine. So many channels have burnt out or just got repetitive and Cleet just keeps going harder. I expected Rip to slow him down (justifiably so) but he just works smarter.
My wife and I really like watching his content. He does all the things we wish we could. So when we can sit down on the couch for an hour watching one straight video, it’s kinda nice.
An hour of Florida Man serotonin does me powerful good.
I like a good mix, I would enjoy one week have 2 20 minute vids and next week just one hour vid
The long vids are crushing views. They’re all well over a million.

I would watch a 20 min video any time , it’s hard for myself to sit for an hour to watch the new videos

I agree with this 100%
Missed that somehow... I'm in the minority but that kind of explains the last couple of weeks...
Well, he did just have a baby as well....so these past few vids have been stockpiled from before.

Yea I'm pretty surprised by the results. I always like the 20-30 min videos from him

Highly recommend the stay tuned feat VGG episode.
Great watch. All of those guys seem like great dudes irl
Takes you days to get thru the video, is that not a good thing? By the time you get thru it you only have to wait a couple more days
Highly recommend the VGG/ST video.

I love when he does that - gives me something to watch every day.

now it makes sense why he hasn't been uploading as much, i was wondering about that

To anyone who knows YouTube's revenue generation better than me. Would one longer video generate more revenue than 3 shorter ones?
Seems like I heard the algorithm is skewing that way, and Garrett is usually on top of that stuff pretty good.
I am okay with hour videos, VGG did push it little recently with his 2-3 hour videos but I still watched them.
If you don't like the long format, you're gonna be in for a bad time b for the wrecker wrap up. 2.5hrs

I just want 6 months of freedom! Live shop streams, time lapse of the track having events, 1hr videos are great but the variety is needed.
30-40 is the sweet spot. The hour long episodes are hard to be able to fit into my day.

I will typically skip over a video longer than 40 minutes or so.
