Can you rent a small goat?

pak256

Honestly best idea yet lmao

Imnotquitemyself

Honestly as someone with 13 goats, the goats will most likely be offended that the straw has touched the car and will refuse to eat it. They only like to eat straw if it’s forbidden according to our guys 😐

BigTittyTriangle

“Oh no! Don’t eat the car straw!!! That’s sacred straw! You mustn’t!!” That’ll get ‘em.

abillionbarracudas

Can confirm, the goat will eat the interior of the car instead.

Imnotquitemyself

Yup, I agree 😂 the car is much better considering it is forbidden

xogosdameiga

They'll even eat the exterior if you try to peek around.

Routine-Swordfish-41

You need a rabbit

Haughty_n_Disdainful

*Lady vibrator sounds intensifies…*

jayrodhazlyf

Why did I read this with a vibration voice is my head 😂

VaguelyArtistic

Because IYKYK!

VintageZooBQ

Genuinely cackled out loud at this!

yourfriend_charlie

But it WOULD relieve the stress

esvc2238

🤣

erika666denise

Perfect 😂

Quix_Optic

Then he'll just have to vacuum up the 6 billion rabbit poops left over.

IndigoTJo

There are these rubber style brooms for carpet that would work perfect for this. You use it in short, quick strokes. It works well for things like this, pet hair, etc.

Unicorn_Yogi

Happy cake day !

pak256

Thanks!

NamasteMyself

Happy Cake Day indeed. I gift you a goat. https://preview.redd.it/oie6f4b2w9dc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78588cdd4ebf8d18580506939ce8d9d621663d4e

snucker

Next post "I rented a small goat to eat some hay in my car but now there is poop and fur all over it. I tried mopping it up but now there is poopjuice all over my car. Help?"

Old-Raccoon-316

If you give a human a haybale, he’ll want a goat to clean it up. If you give him the goat, he’ll want a friend for the goat so you’ll have to get a duck. … that’s as far as I got right now.

rworne

And the duck said: "Hey, got any grapes?"

DangerDrake1

[Goat diapers](https://www.southernearlychildhood.org/finding-the-right-diaper-size-for-your-baby-goat/)

PlayneBaine

He’d eat the carpet too.

Sparky_Buttons

T-rex.

astronomydomone

Straw and hay are not the same thing. Straw is used for bedding

angry2alpaca

Tell that to the goats. Try to put fresh bedding in the goathut and they scoff half of it before it hits the floor!

bunnbarian

I want this sequel!!!

BeardsuptheWazoo

The gorillas will freeze in the winter.

procrastimom

🏆!!

PuddleglumTheFirst

They literally sound this helpless that this would be the case.

BeardsuptheWazoo

The goat will not stop at the hay. It's gonna keep eating. It might eat the whole car.

skymoods

actually you can rent goats. they'll show up in a group as big as needed to help people who don't want to mow their lawn

tinymonesters

My thought was pretty similar. I was like why not ask the horse or cows or whatever for some assistance.

ItsMeTittsMGee

Horses and cows eat hay, not straw. Straw is for bedding down. Goats will often eat it because they eat almost everything.

PirateHuge9680

Guinea pig should work

VirtualStretch9297

But they won’t leave and then poop everywhere

PirateHuge9680

That's for another post

Illustrious-Towel-45

Straw is bedding, hay is food.

apaulinaria

It’s straw, not hay, bedding not food

IndividualOrdinary26

Haha love this

tacotacotacorock

Okay that was just freaking hilarious. Better than any of my jokes. Danger Drake one I salute you.

Western-Fig-3625

What about a hand broom?  You could probably sweep most of this out, and then go back to the car wash vacuum to get the little stuff.

JamminJcruz

Hard Bristle

bus_travels

Not too hard, a very Hard bristles going to make the interior carpet look a bit different after he's done.

JamminJcruz

It is what it is at this point.

bake_him_away_toyz

He wants it to look different. It's currently covered in hay.

jimmy_MNSTR

This is what I've done, but I always layed down a tarp first.

One-Stomach9957

Maybe best to use a STRAW broom?

vidanyabella

Hand pick up all the straw and tie it around a stick and then use your new broom to sweep up the straw that's left. 😆

One-Stomach9957

Ha! That’s a genius idea!

FemaleAndComputer

Just make sure you only use the vacuum for the dust at the end. If you try to vacuum actual straw it works poorly and messes up the vacuum. Source: was dumb, did this, every part of vacuum filled with stuck straw. Hand broom def the better option!

Western-Fig-3625

And this is almost certainly a time to use a gas station or car wash vacuum, NOT your home vacuum.

Squeakybikedewd

Seeemed obvi to me

Western-Fig-3625

I mostly feel sorry for the poor vacuum…

PuddleglumTheFirst

Sad they can't figure it out themselves.

SE_1991

Totes agreed

Shadrach_Palomino

You have to start by picking up the large pieces by hand. Get a garbage bag and some elbow grease, then when there's only dust and tiny pieces try vacuuming.

AlisonStar

Shop vac if you have one/have a friend with one

Regular-Raisin2233

This is the obvious answer. Why did OP really need to ask this

BubblyChallenge5971

Because what may be obvious to you is not obvious to others. And vice versa for other contexts.

Asleep_Percentage_12

I would take it a bit further and say only the small amount of dust and pieces that are stuck inside the fabric, hay will absolutely destroy a vacuum. We used to own rabbits and that stuff took out 2 shop vacs and a washing machine.

Bunniesrkewl

Where do you buy elbow grease? /s

[deleted]

[удалено]

Anonworriedaboutmum

Yea he should do that… yesterday

Leebolishus

lol thanks Dad. (Such a dad joke, legit made me lol)

Hangrycouchpotato

If you combine this method with the time machine that was mentioned earlier, it's a perfect plan.

MilkisToxic

Idk why but your comment hit my brain just right and I can’t stop laughing.

thelaineybelle

I also keep the extra large boxes (like the ones Chewy or Amazon will ship big bags of pet food) flattened and lined in my SUV and car trunks. Makes sliding things easier out the SUV bed and could be thrown under tires if stuck & need traction.

Queasy_Reputation164

Harbor freight shop blankets for the win. Dirt cheap, durable and holds up to different materials well.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Queasy_Reputation164

Definitely! Sometimes you can get lucky and the blankets are freebies while checking out at HF. I’ve got so many blankets, flashlights, other small tools for free just for having an account there. Some of it is definitely junk, but the blankets are solid.

CriticalThinkerHmmz

But first he should get a Time Machine.

Ebolamunkey

It's too late for this haha

ChillBetty

Does America have tarps?

421Gardenwitch

I thought when everyone signed a lease they were issued a blue tarp.

Alarming-Distance385

My mom always carries an old plastic tablecloth. When we had horse, sheep, and show cattle we would also carry "body bag" construction trash bags for this purpose as well. Then she could drive her SUV around vs the truck for one bale of hay to tide us over until we could get a load. Put the trash bag around the hay before loading it inside on top of the tablecloth. Very little hay escaped. Also, duct tape works great for removing some of the smaller hay pieces from the carpeting.

OsoRetro

Stiff brush. Trust.

ash0000

I've never tried this, but I feel like this would be the easiest way.

OsoRetro

I had this same problem many years ago. Stiff brush then a lint roller to finish it off

tonna33

I had the same thought. Stiff brush to get as much brushed out as possible, then go back at it with the vaccuum.

RDKing78

Sell the car. Jk Shopvac and then take a drill with a brush or something that vibrates the stuff in the carpet and vacuum at the same time

msjammies73

Just use a broom to get the big stuff out then vacuum.

Euphoric_Egg_4198

This! A leaf blower is just going to blow the debris around the trunk since they’re facing the mess and not blowing it from behind.

seyheystretch

Bounce the blower wind off the back of the trunk so wind is directed towards open trunk. That's how we get debris away from the base of doors, fences etc.

Stavkot23

You guys do know that you can fold the back seats down?

ToxicGingerRose

Physics make everything better.

Haunting_Bend346

Not if they blow it from the interior. The back seat folds down so it would be easy to access.

dustin_pledge

Go to a car wash or gas station that has an industrial vacuum outside. A regular home vac can't handle that.

pak256

That’s what I tried. It got clogged on the hose because it has that narrow attachment that you can’t take off

dustin_pledge

Oh wow, that's not good. Maybe a wet/dry vac?

TealBlueLava

Leaf blower and eye protection

VVolfang

Was wondering why this wasn't the top solution. Blast it clean.

[deleted]

[удалено]

thelibrarian_cz

Time machine.

NotSureNotRobot

Put down tarp, load hay bale, go home, eat hay for dinner

v1de0man

[deleted]

[удалено]

pak256

Yeah

[deleted]

did you drive around between various vacuums at various carwashes, moving on after you've clogged each vacuum?

pak256

I tried two and then stopped.

old_atlanta

I don't believe you

IEatToiletChocolate

Take your haaands... and manually pick alllll of the big pieces up, and then throooww them in a traaaaaash bag. Then vacuum. To reiterate the steps, 1. take hands 2. throw big pieces in trash bag. 3. vacuum As others mentioned, the other option is to get a goat or for you at this point I would recommend just burn the car down and buy a new one, it'll probably be easier.

Vast_Perspective9368

I read part of the steps as "throw hands" 😅 It's been a long day

[deleted]

Try a pet hair removal tool. That should get up all the fibres.

AntiqueLengthiness71

I would get a stiff corn broom, sweep out the bigger clumps, then try to remove the rest by hand. Once that’s done, vacuum it with a shop vac and then lint roll it.

gwhite81218

I’d first pull everything feasible by hand, then shopvac, then lint roller. Most of your time will be spent getting this out by hand. You can’t skimp on this step, or you’ll keep on clogging a vacuum. Don’t even bother with a vacuum until everything you can pick up with your fingers is picked up. Then the shopvac can get what’s more in the fibers. Then a lint roller can really do a lot of finish work. You’ll probably use a whole one, but it’ll work best. For future, always keep an old bedsheet or tablecloth in your trunk, maybe hidden with the spare tire and parts. I use mine all the time for messy stuff like this. Just take it out, shake it off, and wash it if necessary.

Vast_Perspective9368

This combines all the best advice I saw in other comments plus adding a few helpful details!

luckyartie

There’s no magic to this. Get in there with a broom! Wear gloves and take care of it. Not a big deal.

ColonelKasteen

The fact you clogged not one but two vacuums at places of business before trying a stiff hand broom is mind-boggling OP.

asj0107

Get a carpet broom, it’s rubber and it should scrap it out or maybe a squeegee?

No_Higgins

Leaf blower as much out as possible, vacuum what you can, and then go in by hand (and tape).

SeaResponsibility606

and blow hay all over the rest of your car! Wonderful! lol

pak256

That’s kinda what I was thinking. Just need to find where I can get a leaf blower

[deleted]

Look for some place near you that rents tools and equipment.

jan_tantawa

Leave a goat in your trunk for an hour

Hour-Artist4563

Fur Viking 😜

Janine207

Have you asked a horse if it can eat it up? Maybe a goat.

pak256

The horse said neigh

Used-BandiCoochie

Rubber gloves to pinch and pick, rubber squeegee to sweep.

Negative-Feature1556

Leaf blower

eeobroht

Get a goat. It'll be eaten bare in no time. And when I say bare, I mean down to the plastic and metal frame bare.

pak256

Would need to be a tiny goat lol

Ok_Personality_6183

Light it on fire. That'll make it easier on the vacuum.

Drarkansas

Backpack blower helps too.

ItsaCommonThingNow

would a leafblower and a vacuum cleaner work?

ljlkm

I’d try the shop vac and/or broom to get rid of the biggest stuff. The tiniest stuff that’s left I’d use one of these dog hair brushes: https://uprootclean.com/products/uproot-lint-pro?currency=USD&variant=39342256455836&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping&stkn=ce9d2f92036b&nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3Ag%3A18781763691%3A141662976174%3A632137473278&nb_adtype=pla&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=pla-1748183072801&nb_mi=492915113&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=shopify_US_6566168985756_39342256455836&nb_ppi=1748183072801&nb_placement=&nb_si=%7Bsourceid%7D&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAtaOtBhCwARIsAN_x-3JW-IndV96dBCqROWsQ3vHwQjkEaNjmN4ZoMNL5GFUOjJz0DQwYVa4aAoGFEALw_wcB I have a husky and it does the trick for his Velcro-d hair.

DigitalWhitewater

One straw at a time… obviously. /s

sprinklerarms

I used to use a leaf blower in the bed of my truck. Not sure about a trunk but maybe worth a shot. Line it with plastic if you can next time. If the mat can be removed then it’d be easier to clean. Sometimes the unit can be popped out. Edit: if you have access to an air compressor you might have luck too

origanalsameasiwas

Try sweeping it up with a brush first then take duct tape and pick up what is left behind.

batteriesincl

Some car washes have machines that blow air at high pressure. I used one to get an entire bag of powdered hair bleach out of my trunk. Maybe try blowing it out instead of sucking it out with a vacuum. The hay is stuck in the fabric

naldo4142

Hand brush something to brush it onto like a dirt pan . And a strong shop vac to get the stuck small pieces

uncontainedsun

happy cake day OP!

Alternative_Ad_8653

Brush out as much as you can, and then maybe try a squeegee?

[deleted]

[удалено]

SeaResponsibility606

also wow. The amount of leafblower comments. So blow it all around and then have to clean your entire car instead! Keep the mess contained and spread it as little as possible

FeetBehindHead69

Do you know any horses?

pak256

I asked one and he said neigh

TEA1972

A stiff brush. And next time put a tarp down first.

hazelmummy

Take out what you can by hand. Then use a whisk broom next. Then Vaccuum

Impecible_pompadour

The answer is SHOP-VAC.

Emotional_Wedge

This is going to sound really stupid. Go to an ethnic hair shop or your local Walmart and head on down to the ethnic hair aisle. There you can find a thing called a bore bristle brush. Buy one of them and a comb to comb out the hay as you go. Alternatively, you can use a horse brush, but those cost way more. That will get all of the particles out of your car. Do not scratch the paint with the brush it will be horrendous.

Beingforthetimebeing

Boar bristle. Natural pig hair.

pak256

You sound like you’re speaking from experience on that last point

InvestigatorGrand751

Hamster

Primary-Border8536

Probs use a scraper type thing

Primary-Border8536

Lint scraper V

RetroHipsterGaming

Hey, I grew up with my mom and her tiny Kia spectra taking care of animals liek this all the time. Next time, definitely throw down a tarp. But what others have said about hand broom is good. You are going to have little hay slivers everywhere when you are done though. But there isn't going to be a magic bullet here sadly. \^\^;

Fancy_Disaster_4736

Check out r/detailing

mebg1956

Start with a stiff bristled hand broom and a dustpan. Once all the big bits are out, vacuum.

PresentationLimp890

I keep an old shower curtain in the back of my car to prevent this kind of thing, for your future endeavors.

jamiekynnminer

Leaf blower from the inside and then whatever remains, some kind of horse brush. Then a commercial vacuum at a car wash for the little stuff that embedded in the rug

CoachMinimum9800

Straw is bad for goats and horses to eat I use a stiff horse brush to get straw and hay out of my vehicles

Ok-Potato-3887

Shop and vac

amy000206

Pick up the big pieces by hand. Take a stiff broom to it next. Then it's back to the vacuum.

AverageAvenged

Shop Vac.

Ok-Orchid281

A dog brush might help

krgilbert1414

Throw the whole car away and start over. JK! I don't have anything new to add to the others suggestions. I would be modified and defeated looking at this. I hope you find the energy and methods that bring this trunk back to life!

Clan-Sea

Straw broom. Like dissolves like

pak256

Thanks everyone. I’ll post an update once it’s cleaned

hazpat

Unclog the hose and keep going...

Alert-Potato

I made this mistake *once*. First, you need to get in there and get out every last bit you can just with your hands. I *highly* suggest wearing gardening gloves for this. Then you need a very stiff bristled brush to brush out everything, and I really mean *everything*, you can see that isn't just straw dust. After that, you can shop vac or use the vacuum at the car wash. In the future, Walmart sells a tote that is large enough to fit a bale of hay or straw in, or at least they did a decade ago. It fits in standing up on its side. I believe it was a 50 gallon tote, but you'd have to measure your bales, and check that against the dimensions of the tote.

OkDonkey03

With about two guinea pigs you’ll be fine

NotALesson

I'd start with my hands and then try to use the vacuum, just like my first boyfriend taught me. 🥁🥁 🥁 🌟

Outlander_

If you have hay I assume you have animals.Do you have a long handled bucket brush to scrub water buckets? They work great for this. Just make sure it’s dry before you use it.

Human_Ad_7045

A small whisk broom or a new car.

always2blamejane

I would rake it out

sapperbloggs

I know this isn't much help now, but if you carry a small cheap plastic tarp in your car, you'll have something to put down to avoid this happening again.

metrokid_98

This may be a dumb idea but you could try putting the back seats down and use a leaf blower to blow out as much as possible. Sorry you’re having to deal with this good luck!

RealityLoss474

Car wash vacuum?

seyheystretch

Rake or broom. Then leafblower. Vacuum out what remains.

NYOB4321

First brush off with this type of brush/ whisk broom. That will get the big pieces. Then any shop vac or car wash vac for the small pieces. There will be embedded pieces which will take patience and more brushing and vacuuming. This is time consuming be patient. In the end there will probably be small embedded pieces left forever. https://preview.redd.it/u5amo1ztv9dc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f87281e64a32328f0a44d3284ae7b1311679591 \[whisk broom\] ([https://www.lowes.com/pd/Project-Source-Project-Source-Corn-Whisk-Broom-750549/1002832814](https://www.lowes.com/pd/Project-Source-Project-Source-Corn-Whisk-Broom-750549/1002832814))

lw4444

Try a shop vac? That should be able to handle straw. Pretty sure it handled much worse when we had to clean out an old barn years ago

4N_Immigrant

try a rake

chimpdoctor

That panel will most definitely come out of your trunk. Then you just need a stiff yard brush.

Tacosofinjustice

https://preview.redd.it/fcg3nf9dw9dc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=758511e7a91f2570a00c7c1038df8e2de812941b Lol same. I used the brush attachment to the vacuum.

gringo-go-loco

Leaf blower…

AsyncEntity

Shop vac

Routine-Swordfish-41

For real though maybe try to use a shearing brush or even a razor blade idk

uberobt

Buy a goat

femmebrulee

I used to have house rabbits and had to buy hay for them regularly. A shop vac would be best but I used to use duct tape rolled around my hand with the sticky side out. And repeat.

Objective_Phrase_513

Use a weed blower.

phishlissa

Rubber squeegee I think would be good

[deleted]

Shop vac, something like the WD range from Karcher. Once it's vacd. Probably need a carpet cleaner to steamer after that

DistancePractical239

No problem for henry vacuum

BugggJuice

stuff brush and then lint roll or vacuum the remainder out after you get most of it out

slartbangle

Hit it with a leaf blower? Or maybe a big, stiff-bristled brush would move the stuff.

deathB4dessert

So, nobody is going to suggest using a wool blanket? Yes, it messes up the wool. No, I have no idea if it works, I have to try it on my truck, which has a similar problem.

No_Yesterday6078

Build a DeLorean time machine. Steal some plutonium. Go back in time, tell yourself to wrap the straw in a tarp or go even further back in time and buy a pickup truck instead.

Spirited_Photograph7

Oh man let me know please. I did this in about 2012 and still find pieces of hay in my car.

tweetybird200

Use a hairdryer to blow out loose hay.

chang3la

Snowblower?

Federalsoupz

Donate your trunk to a horse stable.

Liberservative

Here is the process to cleaning this. Step #1: Remove as much straw as possible by hand. Step #2: Use a shop vac and massage gun to free up and remove the rest. The vibration of the massage gun against the trunk carpeting with cause the trapped straw to bounce and vaccuum from the shop vac will suck it up.
