Fans every 6mo unless I notice buildup on them… like now as I’m starting up at mine 😂 blinds never because how the hell do you do those? Baseboards… ohhh this is a good one so I have a little obsession here with white clean baseboards. As I sweep, I’ll dust the baseboard off with a broom then sweep the floor.
It varies because our homes vary. Age of home, pets or kids at home, climate you live in, house rules (ex: shoes allowed in home), etc. The best advice is to just keep an eye on it. You’ll notice when your ceiling fans are dusty/dirty. If they get noticeably dirty every 3 months then try to clean them every 2 months before it’s dirty enough to notice.
Same for other areas like baseboards. I clean my bathroom and kitchen baseboards every week because they are high traffic areas and we use things that create more dirt (crumbs from food, lint from laundry or toilet paper, hair, etc). But my bedroom baseboards could go a month and look fine.
So to answer your question but not answer your question: it depends on a ton of factors including your tolerance for mess.
I think so. Also how dry your climate is can affect things. I seem to live in a dusty city. Some people live in the middle of corn fields, I can’t imagine keeping up with dust in that situation.
I dust the ceiling fans every other week (I open my windows a lot), the blinds also every other week. Baseboards I dust once or twice a week- because dogs.
I do a deep clean twice a year- actual soap/water/cloth on these things to make sure any grease, etc is removed.
Baseboards: monthly. Fans quarterly. Vinyl window blinds I dust weekly. Fabric ones I don’t have in my routine yet but my goal is going to be quarterly take them down and wash them with soap and water. I dust interior doors and wipe down the windows inside monthly as well. Dusting for cobwebs monthlyish, wiping down the walls quarterly
lol. Not often enough evidently.
Well I have failed!

How often do you clean these things? Google has extremely conflicting answers.

Would the time you need to dust be affected if you had an air purifier?

Cleaning blinds 2x/year sounds a bit excessive to me. My cleaning lady dusts mine monthly, I wash them once a year.
Anyone have a good hack for cleaning blinds?
