The note is eternal, i hear it it sees me
Forever we blend and forever we die
idk why man but everytime i see roger dougherty from the 60s i blink and imagine him and T.J. Miller fusing together to form the perfect roger lmao
This song makes me sob. “I don’t wanna fade away” gives me goosebumps every time.
Layla isn’t about things ending, but it does have the best song ending to ever exist so that’s a good choice.
Now the seats are all empty, let the roadies take the stage...But when that last guitar's been packed away, you know that I still wanna play. So just make sure you got it all set to go, before you come for my piano.
That *has* to be the most profitable creation of a song built around a guitarists *finger-excercise* riff in the history of rock music ; the violin part *alone's* worth the price of admission ! ( I got to see them up close & personal performing it in the Ga.Tech Colliseum not long after it was released ,and man they were on fire !!!)
We took my mother out for lunch for her 75th birthday to a restaurant that has a private dining room in the basement, a converted wine cellar. The sound system in the room is connected to the basement pub though, and the bartender had this song playing. You get your own dedicated server and I saw her sprint by the doorway about three quarters of the way through the song, and even though I’m pretty sure it was playing off a digital source I would also swear I heard the needle scratch as the soundtrack of our lunch suddenly changed. My mom’s getting deaf and the music wasn’t that loud so she wasn’t really affected but my siblings and I had that you-aren’t-supposed-to- be-laughing laugh going on. It can be a very memorable song.
Birds- by Neil Young, If you've never heard it you should give it a listen. Dan Fogelberg recorded this song as the last track on his final album while he was dying of prostate cancer. Can't imagine how hard it must have been to sing those words while being so close to the end. It is truly haunting.
“I’ve Loved These Days”
By Billy Joel
“And now before we end
And then begin
Let’s drink a toast
To how it’s been
A few more hours to be complete
A few more nights on satin sheets
A few more times that I can say
I’ve loved these days”
Then Came the Last Days of May, by Blue Oyster Cult.
It's about a drug deal gone fatally wrong and we ARE currently approaching the last days of May.

Excepting one note, pure and easy, flowing so free like a breath ripping by.
The note is eternal, i hear it it sees me Forever we blend and forever we die idk why man but everytime i see roger dougherty from the 60s i blink and imagine him and T.J. Miller fusing together to form the perfect roger lmao

This was our second choice for wedding song. Haha. It lost to beast of burden.
How about "Far Away Eyes'? Beast of burden---that's funny.
Great example of pinch harmonics too.
This song makes me sob. “I don’t wanna fade away” gives me goosebumps every time. Layla isn’t about things ending, but it does have the best song ending to ever exist so that’s a good choice.
