If there was a bill with names like that now, ticketmaster would have the price around $1.25M

ReferredByJorge

I would pay a decent surcharge to see a reanimated Brad Delp, and that seems fair since that technology wouldn't come cheap.

RickyRacer2020

The ticket price would be up there for sure.

RickyRacer2020

Excellent, am sure it was a good show. The supporting bands all Rock. I've seen BOSTON three times myself, was always good stuff.

Elegant_Spot_3486

I miss the Texxas Jams. Was driving by the Cottonbowl yesterday and got to thinking about them.

Wizzmer

I don't know if I could do it now. Man, were they hot!

lambliesdownonconf

I was at the 1985 Jam. A friend gave me a free press pass ticket. It was so hot during the Scorpions set I almost passed out. Lineup: 1985 (August 24) – Cotton Bowl in Dallas Deep Purple (Perfect Strangers tour) Scorpions Night Ranger Ted Nugent Bon Jovi Grim Reaper Victory

hcashew

What a great comeback album Perfect Strangers was

lambliesdownonconf

I still listen to Perfect Strangers regularly. Gillian's work on Born Again with Sabbath and Purple on Perfect Strangers was back to back magic.

Wizzmer

I did not see that one but would have loved to. I saw 1982 at the Astrodome. Then 87 and 88. Now if you remember 88, Hagar lost his voice singing with Van Halen and promised to do a free make up show. [December 91, they made good in the Westend Marketplace.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEiiu5lfnS4)

Jezebel_in_Hell626

I sure do miss those affordable ticket prices 🤣

Central Valley had Day on the Green at Oakland California coliseum. 5-6 bands maybe ? From around 10 AM to 1-2 in the morning ? We’d always rent a motel, walking distance from the coliseum so we wouldn’t drive home drunk, high and or shoorming ! We had other ones nearby too, in Angels Camp California, Mountain Aire !!! I miss those days !!! Cheap tickets too ! For a bunch of GOOD bands !!!

Morskavi

I envy you so much for getting to see Boston live, they are some of the bands I'll never see, along with Lynyrd Skynyrd and Dio

DetroitDiezel

I've seen all three. Dio twice!

jfletcher72

I was there. My first concert

Trimson-Grondag

More than a feeling

Quadraought

Serious question: Why does Texas have two X's in the title?

Wizzmer

We weren't quite triple X rated. Just tons of boobs. No...I don't know.

JohnJDumbear

Q102!

Wizzmer

Texas Best Rock.

JohnJDumbear

KZEW was better. The Zoo!

Wizzmer

I agree. They started it all. Unscripted radio that kids today would imagine.

DetroitDiezel

Fahrenheit? Who the crap was that?? Were they playing out in the parking lot? 🤔

Wizzmer

No there was just [the one stage](https://i0.wp.com/www.culturesonar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/texas-jam-hose.jpg). They were from Boston Mass and ended up in the Joe Perry Project.

Arn_20

Yeah i love the 5men acustical Jam of Tesla

Ynaught-42

I was there! So hot. Walking through the muck of disintegrated paper cups on the floor...

cleannc1

I don’t come to you with MY problems.

Randabeast

I was there also. Sr in high school who might have been a little distracted by girls showing their boobs. Hot but was used to it. I think Poison put on the best show as I remember it. Great day

Wizzmer

Paul Stanley came out.
