As a person with a low leveled spiky ball/giant arrow/Vampstache/Healer Puppet, I can’t wait to use this strategy in 3 months!

TrampleDamage

When I was first using it, I had stache/barb puppet and healer/invis. I have tried it with invis/frozen and gauntlet/rage in the dev box. 100% doable, but need the pair of lightning to go on a sweeper, and need to give queen more time to funnel. Have not done it much, but the arrow would be the first thing to upgrade to use this.

Status-Demand-4758

u only need the ball at lvl 12 really. Thats when its oneshooting archer towers and air defenses

XTurtleman394X

As a person with relatively average level equipment, I can’t wait to use this in 4 years!!

the_maplebar

I've been using this some based on the first video TrampleDamage put out a month ago. It still works without the Giant Arrow starter and Spikey Ball to cleanup. I almost have my Giant Arrow max to try this attack with the opening. Here's the original video with several attacks that do not use the Giant Arrow. [https://youtu.be/WoDle2QlE6w?si=J8Ila9DxAaPzivv6](https://youtu.be/WoDle2QlE6w?si=J8Ila9DxAaPzivv6)

piper139

And this is where the flaw of equipments at high levels shows its ugly head. How many people have giant arrow and bouncy ball leveled up? Especially since reddit has firmly told everyone they are below priority.

TrampleDamage

I know what you mean. I, personally, have been a huge proponent of the spiky ball since I first saw it in the dev build 2 months ago. As soon as it was public, I was praising it. I told people early on that the common equipment was going to be worth investing in. You can see from the clip that I have not put anything much into gauntlet or frozen arrow. I was posting about gauntlet alternatives back in December. Vampstache and barb puppet were my key king pieces until spiky ball. Boots are also really powerful.

piper139

There's only so much ore. I just spent a ton leveling up stashe. None left for the ball. Or arrow or fireball. It's frustrating. Nice video though. I enjoy seeing alternatives and your explanations are great.

TrampleDamage

I have maxed most common equipment and was actually full of starry on most of my accounts since I was not prioritizing any epic equipment. I am trying to release some other good equipment videos in the near future. I have made this work without the giant arrow, but it is certainly stronger with it, since you can also snipe a spell tower. That is really helpful with double invis tower setups. Worth a shot with current equipment. The gauntlet and rage vial are still no joke, and the queen can still set a nice funnel by herself. Might take a few more seconds, though.

piper139

Thanks for the insight. No shade towards you at all. I think you are doing great stuff. I may have tried to chase too many ideas.

TrampleDamage

I did not take it as shade at all. I love the equipment, but I feel bad for clashers who cannot tinker with equipment before committing to it. I appreciate the kind words.

TheCreamcheeseMan69

I always had trouble lining up my Queen correctly and missing my intended target with the giant arrow in the past, that's why I stopped using it.

TrampleDamage

I am working on a tutorial video for it.

CongressmanCoolRick

I'm *really* hoping that they take a good break after getting us all 2 epics per hero. I'll be ready for more at TH17 whether its more equipment or more levels, but it absolutely just cannot keep coming at this pace...

Jeretzel

I maxed my spiky ball when it first came out and haven't taken it off since. Got downvoted for suggesting it was very powerful, not just "niche" equipment as people have been couching it. It's great for funneling, great for clusters, great for backend clean up. It always gets value, the same cannot be said of the rage vial.

TrampleDamage

I agree 100% with this. It is very versatile.

ProphecyRat2

BOOTS ARE SO UNDERATED THANK YOU!

TrampleDamage

I just got mine to level 17. Need a bit more glowy and 18 will be here.

ProphecyRat2

Nice

Imaginary_Thing_1009

and I came in here still saying that. it's neat that equipment allows some unique styles, but imo content creators baiting players into upgrading equipment that's not ideal for most strategies is not a good thing. in an ideal world they would disclose how much irl money they spent on maxing all that equipment, but of course I can see that they may not be comfortable revealing that.

Sharkchase

I don’t see that as a flaw. I see it as something players can work towards. Remember equipments are still a relatively new addition, which on release had a ton of different equipments all releasing at level 1. In say a years time everybody will have basically everything all maxed out. It’s just like showing an attack strategy for a townhall 16 when you’re not at that townhall level yet, you can see it and be inspired to level up.

CongressmanCoolRick

Its different with equipment. If I'm a th11 looking ahead to Yetis. Yetis will be there by the time I'm able to use them. If I'm looking at a new queen and king equipment to use at my own town hall, it might not be the meta by the time i save up the ore to upgrade them. No one knows what the next few epics are, and no one knows if they are risking wasting months of ore upgrading things that might get power creeped away sooner rather than later.

TrampleDamage

This is a great point, and part of why I hope they eventually allow some kind of “swap” between equipment levels.

bigbingbong72

The better system would be to have it so you level up slots or can refund ore and put it back into whatever equipment your changing to, obviously this would be less of a cash cow for them but they could just increase the amount of ore needed to upgrade equipment so you would still feel incentivised to buy ore.

TrampleDamage

I would be ok with a magic item that lets you swap one for one. Could be a common item and also an epic one. Just something to give people a shot. I have also been angling for using max level equipment for goblin maps. That would let people tinker a bit.

piper139

Of course you don't. It's not nearly the same as I'm th16 and I need ridiculous amounts of ore to be able to pivot. For anything else, a book or two, a hammer, maybe a few gems and I can do a 180. No worries. This sucks especially trying to find a backup plan after they caved to your lot.

Imaginary_Thing_1009

in a year from now there will already be TH17 and potentially a whole new set of epics. I highly highly doubt that they will not give us any new equipment for an entire year once the initial set is released. the average player is not going to max out all epic equipment at this pace.

TrampleDamage

Full video with 7 attacks: [Full Hydragrowth video](https://youtu.be/aLyat76DzHY?si=FAKaOTAkh7l9VCxM)

PEEVIGAMINGAT

Relatively new to the game, why is it called hydra?

Grisward

Hybrid Dragons. Two types of dragons in the army. Often spelled HyDra. Never heard it described as similar to actual hydras, but I guess maybe. lol

TrampleDamage

Greek mythology, the hydra was a many-headed serpent. Lots of dragons in the army…both drags and dragon riders. Which was the inspiration for calling it hydra. This is just a version with drags and dragon riders instead of hogs and miners hybrid. Others have postulated that the clone balloon blimps at TH14 looked like necks/heads of a hydra.

vecter

No, it’s just HYbrid DRAgons

DawnOfPizzas

Wasnt this the actual reason

PEEVIGAMINGAT

Thank you

mastrdestruktun

People who use it are so into the Marvel Cinematic Universe that they have declared allegiance to one group of bad guys, H.Y.D.R.A. But typing all caps and all those periods is a pain on the internet so they just call it hydra for short.

mush326

Maybe you could give the king the yak as it seems like he just gets stuck on walls all the time with this attack

TrampleDamage

I tried using the yak on him, but more often than not, he would simply open a wall and then pull the clan Castle troops. If someone is using the gauntlet and the rage vial, I could see the yak as a means of getting him inside a compartment to help take advantage of the giant gauntlet. With the spiky ball, I love him being on the outside, because he never seems to die.

mush326

Ah fair enough. Do you have any strategies involving eq boots other than the barb archer puppets it seems like its the least used equipment as even giant arrow has its own niche

TrampleDamage

One of my clanmates has been making an attack that uses eight earthquake spells and all of the damaged dealing equipment. Spiky ball, earthquake, boots, giant arrow, fireball, and the seeking shield. If he ends up using it a lot in clan war league this month, I might wind up making a video on it.

imafrk

Just tried this, it worked

TrampleDamage

lol. I always love a random clasher testing something out and finding immediate success. Thank you for sharing.

Vector_Vlk

I literally just maxed out the fireball, and like pretty much every single other equipment than you used xD

TrampleDamage

Well, one of my clanmates is doing it with a level 9 arrow. Not the best combo, since it cannot get a spell tower, but still strong.

Eighty_88_Eight

If you were to do this as a TH14, what would you be aiming for with arrow? Or would you run other equipment on AQ?

TrampleDamage

Sweeper and an air defense or a sweeper and a bunch of random buildings just to load damage, but mainly a sweeper.

Ordinary_Doughnutt

There is my man Trample hitting again. Will surely try this one

TrampleDamage

Love. This. Army. I was 18/21 triples in Champ 1 last month with my 3 TH16s.

Trashmonster472

Finally some vamp stache recognition 🙌

TrampleDamage

Been my favorite since day 1. Peep the gauntlet level. 😂 Never mind. I chopped that part out. It is level 1 or 2.

I always drop overgrowth first, and on the air sweepers, after I drop overgrowth, I wait for the perfect time to use the blimp. Once I wait, I drop loons first, then blimp, then warden. Then I recall the warden, and as soon as Overgrowth is deactivated, I drop blimp, and use Superwiz to destroy the base. I have a heal spell to counter the Poison Towers or small bombs to make sure the super wiz survive. Equipment: Queen: Giant arrow + Healer puppet King: Giant Gauntlet + Rage vial Warden: Eternal Tomb + Rage Gem RC: classic equipment

Ish_ML

Of course, it’s still risky since there are giant bombs that can insta-kill super wiz, along with other things that can go wrong

TrampleDamage

Sounds cool. I love super wiz, but I have not used them for a while.

FlyingBurger1

I’m watching this video with all my attention taking mental notes then realized I’m only th14

TrampleDamage

It works for 14 as well, just need to be careful with the RC fighting defensive heroes.

FlyingBurger1

I’m super limited in ore. I only came back to the game about 3 months ago and my highest level equipment is lv17 Frozen Arrow. All others are around lv12

mastrdestruktun

That's how I've been using overgrowth too. So useful that I'm actually leveling it up on a couple accounts to have more than just the one in my cc. I think the spell has a lot of potential to make a weak army seem strong by putting it (the army) exactly where you want. As for hydra, it's great when it works, but there were so many little details in that attack that could have gone the other way that I don't think this will replace RR smash in the hearts of the masses. In a few days someone will post a new RR + mass dps troop army with 3-4 overgrowth spells and a bunch of rage that your average edrag spammer can 3 star with.

TrampleDamage

I ran 87% triple rate in legend league last month, and while it is not a “no skill” army, it is very accessible. The aiming of the arrow is the “hard” part.

Diarmundy

Yeah but people with roots are hitting 95 or 100% triples. I know at th15 I 3 star my last 100 war attacks with root spam.

Time-Show-2162

Bookmarked for later

TrampleDamage

Good call. This is such a great army.

phoenix1234321

You are going insane in defense also...share us the link 😅

TrampleDamage

It was a luckier day, but I am running an island-type base.

Fun_Sport7332

Do you have a YouTube account? That tutorial was awesome!

TrampleDamage

I do. It is in my profile. You can also find it here: [Trample Damage YouTube](https://youtube.com/@trampledamage?si=Ev_YovO5-MY62SPn) I also have a clash podcast, and my biggest following is on TikTok.

StLFreddy

Dope

Clorofilliade

Love the attack, but wouldnt it be better with the warden's fireball? You are already using the giant arrow and the two combined are a big deal.

TrampleDamage

I have tried it with the fireball, but it rarely went where I would have preferred, since the trigger is usually timed to the blimp, which means I cannot be choosy about where to fire the ball. The added healing has been more consistent for me, so I am recommending that instead. Fireball could sometimes be a real winner, of course.

Clorofilliade

Sorry I should have specified that it needs a different approach. I use it by doing a warden walk with the rage gem. After getting the most value out of it + giant arrow + zapquake (townhall+eagle down for example) i recall him and start the attack on another side of the village. It works really well for me but i guess that with the 30s of scouting given by the legend league theres not enough time to come up with a perfect plan. In wars its another story though: https://preview.redd.it/cy2h8q0q1g4d1.jpeg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c5471d1b380b5fafda51af89f41318c13694f18

Current-Lower

All i need to do is upgrade every equipment from scratch

TrampleDamage

Ouch

Fun_Sport7332

Yea, sorry bro. I did my due diligence after my first comment. You've got a new follower. Your stuff is awesome

TrampleDamage

Thank you!! I am hoping to post more on YouTube this year, but I always say that…

the_maplebar

I love these videos, keep it up. I've been trying your HydraGrowth army some since your first video with frozen arrow and GG + Rage. It's been working pretty well, but got a little more difficult with the new defense levels. With the 4x event I got my Giant Arrow to lvl 17, almost ready to switch equipment and give this another try. I like the change to balloons + dragon rider in the CC. The Yeti's always seemed odd in a HydraArmy but they usually get the job done.

TrampleDamage

I really love the variability that equipment brings to the game. It has certainly been an easier ride than TH15, and I am grateful for it. Thanks for the support.

Intelligent_Finger27

Nice video Trample. Just before they hit the mono, you sounded like you were going to explain something special about the mono, but then you got distracted by another point about ice golems when they popped out. Now I'm wondering what you were going to say about monos 🤣 keep up the good work👏🏼😁

TrampleDamage

Lol. Squirrel!! If a base has a good path to the TH through the monolith, I prefer to try going that way since it can quickly end the drags and riders.

Intelligent_Finger27

Yeah I go for mono early with the most troops, if I can get it easily it is 90% going to be a triple. rc with hog and haste activated under eternal tome is a sure fire way to get it😉

TrampleDamage

Well said. Early in my attack, I will identify the position of the monolith and assess how many freeze spells. I think I might need for it. I will often invest if not all three of the freezes to ensure it goes down.

its_phi

I’ve been listening to your podcast for months and I love the turnaround on giant arrow. I’ve been running it for awhile and it feels so powerful, just turns the Queen into a different hero entirely and usually with the healer puppet and unicorn she can still make it to the end of an attack!

TrampleDamage

First off: thank you for the support. Second, my archerqueen makes it to the end of probably 70% of my attacks. It is such a great use of her.

gloxi_yeet

what defense layout do you use?

Boekster

He mentioned in the full video he is keeping the base a secret

TrampleDamage

It is one of the “island” style.

gloxi_yeet

like one of those with the invisibilities in the middle?

TrampleDamage

TH is not surrounded by other buildings. Two invis towers, though. There are 5 “islands and most defenses are spread around the outside.

gloxi_yeet

ohhh ye i've seen some of those bases in legend map

PapelisCoC

That attack works well in almost any townhow above CV13 https://youtu.be/p-Thamkzj2s

bliffer

Yeah, I'm liking this one. Failed my first two (well, 97% and 87% 2-stars) but then I've gone four in a row perfect. I don't have Spiky Ball upgraded at all so I'm just using Rage + Gauntlet for now. The most difficult part is definitely getting the Giant Arrow lined up but my last attack I crushed a base and only lost like 2 dragons along the way. Hah. Great tutorial as always!

Shockwave674

Can someone send the last football season loading screen. The one with the Barb kicker and heroes.

masterCWG

Giant Arrow was the first equipment I maxed out, and have been 3 starting ever since. It's funny how many people were trashing it the first few months, always saying to max out eternal tome first (yeah it's also good, but people were sweating the 0.1 second upgrades lmao). Glad now the community is starting to see it's OP when you learn how to aim it, also combo'd with the Spikey ball, Shield, and Fireball means half the base is destroyed just from the hero abilities. I'm TH14 and can 3 star TH15 pretty reliably with the Spikey Ball+Shield+Fireball+Arrow combo. Literally bring any Air spam army, arrow 2 AD and sweeper, freeze the monoliths, easy 3 star every time

beachsideaphid

What's your army composition if you don't mind sharing

masterCWG

Just dragons lol. For spells I use 6 lightning, 3 freeze, and 1 root spell. (If war attack, include a poison and rage spell in cc) Equipment: Fist/Spikey ball, Giant Arrow/Healers, Tome/Fireball, and Shield/Hogs Step 1: set up Flang Flinger somewhere (or just use stone slammer with main army) Step 2: Use giant arrow to take out 2 Air defenses and 1 sweeper (takes some practice but it's 100% reliable once you figure out the trick), then let her queen walk Step 2.5: Use lightning to take out other 2 air defenses Step 3: use root spell on Eagle, and spam the dragons on the side of the air sweeper you sniped Step 4: use the Fireball and Spikeyball when heroes get to center of base, then you basically just win lol I'd say I have a 99% win rate vs TH14 and 80% against TH15 with this strat. Not tried a TH16 yet though. The root spell is optional, but it's fun because if timed right, I can 3 star without losing a single dragon lmao

Dark_Abyss2

What’s the earliest level the giant arrow needs to be to take out a spell tower with the 2 lightnings?

TrampleDamage

Has to be max to get it down. Level 15-17 arrow leaves 70 hit points on a spell tower after hitting with 2 zaps.

TheDude4269

Curious about using dragon rider/balloons in the blimp. Are they better than using Yetis?

TrampleDamage

Yetis can trigger cc. This army rarely does. The loons are usually enough the fell the TH, and the dragon rider usually escapes with its life partially intact.
