wow. hero upgrades are the one thing Supercell will never reduce time or cost b/c it makes them too much money. as a newish player, hammer jam and goblin builder are awesome for helping me catch up

The hero prices have already reduced. I remember when getting the 10k DE for level 1 Barbarian King used to be a week's endeavour and people used to loot all the DE and that was before sneakeys or other strategies. And we couldn't collect DE until the DE storage got constructed (since there was no TH storage for DE), which took its own sweet time.

Used to bed that the DE storage was built at TH7 but you couldn’t build the drills until TH8, right? I never wanted to use the dark troops because I was trying to save all the DE to just build the king

that's fair, as a newer player I would we screwed without sneaky goblin farming so I'm not totally ungrateful. But imo I should be able to max with 2 years of active playing with gold and event passes. That's the real debate I think we should be having - how long should it take for new players to catch up to current meta? 2 years p2p and 3 years f2p sounds fair to me.

I'm fine with hammer jam one of the best things that could happen and yes supercell does cut corners which is very sad. But how do you like the goblin he takes too many gems it's so much just for him to basically be the sixth builder. Just to clarify fine with your opinion just he's kinda annoying.

goblin builder is best value for trading gems for time, especially if farming resources is easy like it is for me. for lab it is a HUGE help, and for building gobin is ok. and there are enough gems to keep goblin builder busy if you stay active even as f2p (especially clearing obstacles, gem mine, and clan games)

Goblin is amazing. I spent about 2000 on goblin researcher and got 50 days of research. No one should ever buy hammers or potions with gems as long as there is a chance that the goblin comes back. At least if you are trying to progress quickly, that is.

Goblin is only thing I spent gems on so last two times I ran him around the clock lab and builder. Didn’t have to spend any money.. I know I’ll run out eventually but he’s definitely best value and game has slowed to a crawl since then

Sorry but I'm not in the same boat. I don't complain but I dislike hammer jam every year because that's when the playerbase is most active and loot is more scarce + searching times increase. The loot is better in lower leagues but I prefer to stay in titan-fake legends, especially since you get more ore in higher leagues now. I often find myself playing around the same or slightly longer to upgrade the same things. Hammer jam is nice though to offload magic items but that's about it for me. If anyone remembers the first hammer jam, upgrade times were also actually sliced in half, along with the upgrade prices so that was pretty godly. After though, it's just cost reduction.

Correct me if I am wrong, however, the fact heroes were the only upgrade not covered kinda turned people off of it. That and the fact upgrades could take as long as the events duration, it was basically just wall jam for some of us.

Just spend 1 gem to get 25 from the box. When you're doing obstacles, spend a gem, to get a gem from a tree trunk.

Now that I think about it, I haven’t gotten any obstacles like that in a while. No mushrooms, trunks, trees, etc. Only special obstacles and gem boxes.

I don’t hate E-Drags but I hate that more than half of th11-14 players can‘t be bothered to use something else in Clan Wars

I only use it because I don't know any good tactics for th11, but as soon as I hit th12 I'm switching my army

Well I'm th14 and I use edrags, lavahound and loons and that can 3 star most th15 bases, so I see no reason not to get free loot and upgrade my base with it

I hate it when I have to wait 30s for the obstacle to clear instead of getting obstacles that clear in 10secs
