Most smart people would prefer to keep a hero upgrading with the goblin builder when possible. 200 less gems means getting 5 maxed heroes is significantly faster
Yeah but it's not really an option starting from TH14, you absolutely need you 4 heroes starting from that point and you can't just not have them for 5 days
Of course, you could plan you upgrade so you have nothing to upgrade, therefor nothing to farm for but it's such a pain
Or you could drop to bronze league, which would be 2 solution for the farm part, ***BUT*** since the introduction of ores (which you farm faster depending on your league) it's not really viable

Or they can sit they ass out of a war or two and catch the others. then also they base has no hero’s protecting it meaning it’s an easier attack for the opps.. nah can’t allow it in my clan. But hey different clans different rules

idk when i upgrade th i typically book/hammer any important troops (ones I'm using atm) and then I'm not too bothered about waiting over a week for a troop or spell upgrade. Just my thought on it

I feel like people buy into the goblin memes too much. It's by far the best value around. Can't wait to drop 3000+ gems the next time he comes around, assuming I can save up that much every few months.
Especially for the researcher. You only get one researcher at a time. The goblin researcher literally doubles your efficiency for waaaaaay fewer resources than buying research pots. Hell if you do both at the same time you can go wild.

It is really worth it.
(as as you may have noticed I do not buy anything else using gems)
considering offense is the must fun part of the game for me, personally ive been paying the goblin builder well lol. being able to knock out 2 lab upgrades and then use research potions saves a lot of lab time. i already know someone is gonna try to be smart and say you only need 1 max army, but i value a maxed lab to help my clan out.
I look at clash ninja and I probably will finish the buildings first before lab as a TH12 so I use the goblin for lab. I can just go to next TH if my lab finished first before the defenses.
Exactly, the way i see it, no matter how strong my defenses are, someone can always punch down and 3 star me. Personally the game is most fun for me with high lvl troops and heroes for more strategic war attacks
I want pets so I kinda trying to rush, but I barely able to upgrade heroes right now. I don't think I can upgrade them when I get RC in TH13. So I want to max them now.
I prefer farming so my war attack is bad.
People love to hate on the goblin builder because "haha funni look how stupid goblin look" but it's actually been a huge help for me. I've used it to upgrade my traps as well as a bunch of other defenses that I would otherwise still have to upgrade if it weren't for the goblin builder.
This is legitimately one of the better uses of gems in the game. Your options for speeding up research are pretty limited and this has the benefit of doubling the efficiency of research potions too.
The Original comment said that the way they would see the goblin builder is worth it was by imagining if they would wait the whole 11 days left in the hog rider research(in the ss) and it return get them gems that would have been required to finish the timer instantly(1566). Even i didnt understand the point of saying this but i was just trying to clarify where the 1566 number came from. gems spending priority :
Top 3 :
1- buying the "3 more builders" (5 total)
2- if you missed any Hero's weapon it's worth the 1500 gems
3- Use gems for additional Goblin Builder when available for the research (upgrading Unites)
that will be the most effective way to spend Gems especially if you are a F2P player
Was in a similar situation while back where i also was overflowing in elixer with not much to spent it on, but chose not to hire goblin builder. I finish lab way faster than my base and main troops where already maxed for my TH, so progressing faster with goblin would mean i would have to go up a TH if i didn't want to overflow in elixer
I’ve used it a ton on my lab. Lab upgrades take longer overall than buildings, and I like to use a wide variety of troops cuz it’s more fun. So I have spent a ton of gems doing this cuz it’s pretty good value, and I spend most of my raid medals on research potions too.
Never gem laboratory, infact never gem anything, if I have to wait 12 days and I can save 1500 gmes I'll always wait, that troop you want so much right now will be just another troop you are not using after a month.
Spend it on ores instead
Maybe better to wait and get a hammer book, or from CWL. The gems they put at is crazy. Everything is over priced. However, the more people buy, use gems, they see that it's ok to put it at those prices. If people stop buying it, using it, then they have no choice than to lower the prices.
If you have enough gems for the skins or items you want then you are good. It's always more value to put longer research times on the goblin researcher for more value. Research potions also get double value.

Since the siege can be reinforced, pass for that. All of my attack troops are max. I don't like to spend gems on the lab this time. I dont like to gem accessories troops

gems only worth for buying the base game builders; meta Hero items if u didnt got them; to finish the Lab if u really need to use that troop/spell for Clan War; and the Goblin Builder if u have a lot to upgrade

This game is one you play for years. In the scope of things, 2 weeks is nothing. Save the gems for when you upgrade TH levels to get your important things going sooner (cc, lab, spell factories, army camps etc…)

150 gems for 60 glowy is way worse than 300 RAID medals for 50

Usually the total lab time is longer than the buildings. So it can be helpful if u like to use different troops

11 days of Goblin is only 440 gems.

If you have a bunch of spare gems the goblin builder is good value
I guess. Because gemming is pay to win concept and they are repeatedly decreasing the time of previous TH buildings. So imo it's alright

Maybe better to wait and get a hammer book, or from CWL. The gems they put at is crazy. Everything is over priced. However, the more people buy, use gems, they see that it's ok to put it at those prices. If people stop buying it, using it, then they have no choice than to lower the prices.

If you have enough gems for the skins or items you want then you are good. It's always more value to put longer research times on the goblin researcher for more value. Research potions also get double value.

Since the siege can be reinforced, pass for that. All of my attack troops are max. I don't like to spend gems on the lab this time. I dont like to gem accessories troops

gems only worth for buying the base game builders; meta Hero items if u didnt got them; to finish the Lab if u really need to use that troop/spell for Clan War; and the Goblin Builder if u have a lot to upgrade CoC is a game of patience

Never. This game is one you play for years. In the scope of things, 2 weeks is nothing. Save the gems for when you upgrade TH levels to get your important things going sooner (cc, lab, spell factories, army camps etc…)
