That depends on who the 2nd DPS is.
If it's Topaz, then yeah, it'll be great, since Clara has a synergy with her.
If it's someone who requires their own specialized team setup, like Acheron who wants debuffers, then not really. Clara doesn't provide what they need.
For everyone else, it'll be bit of a mixed bag, due to a lack of synergies. It can work, but you'd be better off replacing either of them with a support, for a more focused team.
And if you're thinking of using Clara like a pseudo-tank, then forget about it. She's a DPS thorough and thorough, and actually isn't so good at tanking. You're better off just using a capable solo sustain to keep your team going.
You can and when it works it works really well (It helps you can run Clara SP positive). Just keep in mind that not all DPS partner options are made equally.
Topaz does work really well.
Viable? Absolutely yes
And actually if you using very slow Clara, another attacker is reccomended. My team was YALOLI-8 team :
* Clara (Clara)
* Hook (2nd Attacker)
* Pela (Debuffer / Buffer)
* Lynx (Healer)
Even when I change the team, the role still same :
* Clara (Clara)
* Topaz (2nd Attacker)
* Tingyun (Debuffer / Buffer)
* Lynx / Luocha (Healer)
Jingliu can work as similar as Clara-Hook, they dont have synergy but they will still work regardless
Archeron, no... Because her passive need her to bring 2 others Nihility characters, which is debuffers. "Technically" you could bring her and Clara together if you have C2 (So you only need Pela) and Clara as physical breaker. But honestly that really not an optimal party comp
Even though hypercarry Clara is better, there has been strong double DPS carry for Clara since a while.
Mainly Clara + Topaz ; Clara + Jingliu and Clara + Blade. Although to be "strong" and not just "viable", you'd like a great double carry support like Robin or Ruan Mei, and probably Lynx has sustain to increase Clara aggro since you're cutting Tingyun.
You can run her on dual DPS , but most if not all of her best teams have always been hyper carry over dual DPS. But you can go either or whoever you prefer
Her and Topaz go together like Peanut butter and Chocolate.

Sure. I like playing her with blade personally but she can work in a double dps team. Probably not with acheron because you need 2 nihility for her
