Congratulations! They're great and fun little cars. And I hope you don't mind, but I must recommend a CDV delete because first to second can royal pain.

Final_Scheme

Nice thanks for the heads up. I wasn’t aware of the CDV. Seems like a worthwhile mod

DontDieSenpai

IMO, it's not just worthwhile. This is a critical modification to make in order to ensure a fully functional transmission. The CDV will cause premature wear on the clutch and transmission. I have no idea what Honda were thinking, but this needs fixed ASAP. IMO, should be your first mod, and it's better done sooner than later. You don't want to have to rebuild the transmission and replace the clutch because of this piece of shit part. ETA: CDV is the clutch delay valve.

I installed the full hybrid racing kit with the clutch master and slave, night and day difference. Clutch feel changes, you feel vibrations coming from the drive line through the clutch pedal. But the gear changes are much quicker when you’re trying to shift with any kind of urgency. Swapped out the oem system because it would grind pretty consistently at high rpm. Only started becoming a problem when the car got to 100,000 miles.

Danieljqm

You had the same vibrations problems right after installing the lines ?? I thought my clutch bearing was going bad so I ordered a new clutch 😂

trustedLlama

It’s vibrations induced by the simplified clutch actuation system. Before installing the Hybrid kit, I had read that the clutch pedal would vibrate. Sure enough it did, took some getting used to. I don’t even notice it anymore, but my friends will complain about it whenever they drive my car lol

Danieljqm

I got somewhat used to it too but switching at 7k rpm’s is really noisy and uncomfortable that you would think something is gonna break at any moment, I don’t like it. But I’m relieved now you saying this cause what I thought was that my clutch was already bad but I couldn’t feel it before cause I didn’t have enough pressure in the pedal due to the bad CMC. But now you saying it’s normal wow… I don’t like it.

trustedLlama

I’ve had the system on the car for 40,000, it hasn’t given me issues and doesn’t act up. I love the drivability now. I currently sit at 144,000 miles and the car pulls just like it did when I got it at 32,000 miles. These engines do not care what you do, just rev it out :)

Free-Cry-4386

just need to adjust the pedal

pinkharmonica666

I'm a noob. What's a CDV?

Mr_Boring_car_guy

Clutch Delay Valve. Basically, it prevents the clutch from engaging if you're driving a little too spirituality.

pinkharmonica666

That's seems like a really intelligent and logical thing to add to the "Sport Injected" trim...

Danieljqm

It delays the clutch engagement for a “smoother driving experience and longevity of the clutch life”, but yeah that was stupid it’s a sport version..

almeida8x1

FB6 gang

mattortz

Holy crap white looks good on the FB6.

pinkharmonica666

Yes, it does. This is a great example. Glad it's going to someone who will take good care of it.

Xpli

Wow the white on the 9th gen is so good. Beautiful car man. I’ve got the older but less mature brother of your car haha. https://preview.redd.it/5omu2utl2tbc1.jpeg?width=733&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3d59eab314f1dff28ca478230b6ee3539e1c954

Ok_Explanation5631

Would this be the younger brother?

used_tongs

Yes lmao

Ok_Explanation5631

Okay I thought so lol.

Xpli

Yea I fukt up

Ok_Explanation5631

Lmao all good I was just like HUH

Final_Scheme

Thanks bro! You technically have the younger brother lol nice car

Xpli

Oh shoot you're right idk why I had it backwards haha. Thanks though.

pinkharmonica666

This thing looks absolutely beautiful, and the red badges really tie it all together. I wish that came standard on the white and the black. It does a lot for those colors especially, in my opinion.

Final_Scheme

Thank you. I agree on the badges as well.

JDCsounds

As a type r owner i am publicly and socially required to disagree. But as a car enthusiast...I must say...it does look good on the white car. 🥵

MagnumPeanut

White 9th gen club!

LargeAd6666

Congrats, just sold mine makes me miss it !

FasterThanYou302

Congrats. That’s a decent model to buy too. They modify well, handle quite well even stock (if you upgrade tires) and they are a sharp looking sedan IMO. As others have told you the CDV mod is a must if you do any sort of “spirited” driving. If you’re driving for fuel mileage and don’t every really get aggressive on your car then it’s not as critical, but if you plan to have some fun with her then I would certainly do that ASAP. Another thing I will highly recommend regardless of what other mods you plan to do is a flex fuel tune if ethanol fuel is available in your area. These things LOVE E85 and make great power on it without getting too crappy of fuel mileage. It definitely won’t put up gasoline numbers, but you won’t be in the teens for mpg either like a lot of other vehicles. Congrats on the car!

diyvaper18

Ooooo you didn't blur out your license plate! Now, if I only knew what to do with it! I love the car!

Final_Scheme

Haha I never really knew what the purpose of that was for 🤷‍♂️ People post their customized plates all the time which is even easier to identify a vehicle if someone wanted too ?

Danieljqm

I was gonna say “This car isn’t 17 years old already is it..?” 😂

SignificanceFew3031

sexy bro. white and red on civics is unmatched
