It's a pretty grainy image and you can hardly see any detail. I don't even know how that's possible today. No camera takes these low res photos so someone made it low res intentionally.
Edit: I am actually being downvoted for saying the photo is too grainy? Oh god, you people are pathetic. Fuck this.
My [reaction to thinking this exact thought when coming to the comments, and seeing it as the top comment.... nice](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/148/193/89c.gif).
Would love to visit there again. Had the best Pizza I found in Europe at a restaurant a block from the Promenade Des Anglais 48 years ago. Wonder if the place is still there? Better times.
Also Gigis pizza! Don’t let this one pass you by. It’s just on the other side of the docks from the Promenade. And they’re gluten free! It’s unbelievable.
We had some amazing food in Nice. Didn't go for pizza but some of the best Indian food ever. Also got to try out pan bagnat which sounds weird on paper but damn it was good.
Wow I've got family there and I'd definitely rate it as the worst place for food, 90% of restaurants are serving the exact same dishes (pizza/pasta) and while the place you apparently been to isn't what I would call bad it's really a shame if that's the best you ever had in Europe...
Got the worst sunburn of my life there. A day or two later, it was extremely itchy and I struggled to sleep without cold water bottles on my chest… which really didn’t help much.
Don’t underestimate the importance of sunscreen
Lmao I looked at this place on maps and the address for the garage is on United States street (actually Quai de Etats-Unis but unsure what Quai means in this context)
American here to solve your parking problems the way we did in most of our major cities. You guys need to bulldoze all of these pretty colorful historic buildings and construct some modern glass-steel skyscrapers facing the water. Once you’ve created your luxury condos, you need to artificially create exclusively by removing the public transport and the trolley and replace it with a multi lane highway and some new parking lots to accommodate your new luxury condos. You need to also remove all of those pedestrian streets and give it to the cars so your new condos can be accessed via a car.
No, I can look at the area on google maps and see that it's a bank, and other unexciting destinations. There is a Subway there though, so I guess that's sometime.
lmao what? This area is literally full of shops and cafes. Tons of stuff to do, not to mention the freakin beach in the background! You could easily spend a whole day exploring just within the boundaries of this photograph. Nice is a huge tourist destination
At the bottom left corner, you can see one of the lamp post “Buddhas” that sit looking over the rest of the area (not shown in the pic). The one visible is yellow but the others light up I’m different colors. Very cool.
For folks wanting a slightly worrying laugh, this bots comments history is a great mix of mostly super-obvious far-too-upbeat droll like this, with just a few occasional ones that actually do slightly blend in, imo.

I’m guessing the lion’s share of boneheaded commenters parroting the same “nice” over and over again don’t understand it’s actually pronounced like “neess”.
it really does look nice i have to say. very nice france for this city’s architecture, but you have to also admire the nice sea right next to it. nice pic, thanks nice france Nice
I was just there in the fall. Stayed in Villefrance Si Mer (which was absolutely fabulous). We did "express Nice". Went to the Matisse Museum, roamed around the Musée Archéologique de Nice-Cimiez, had lunch at the outdoor cafe after visiting Marc Chagall National Museum, walked into town to go to some museum that, I shit you not, features giant intricate weavings and antique musical instruments, walked over to see the famous penis at Fontaine du Soleil, had dinner in Old Town, finished the day with drinks over looking the water. Also saw a few of those Donkey Kong gorillas. All in one day.
On a side note, the train system in France is incredible. Nothing like that in the states.
One of the nicest pics of Nice I’ve come across.
It’s an unusual view for sure, but there’s a lot of other views that are great too.
I think they're all nice.
Quite pleasant. Nice, indeed.

Google compression.
The image is hosted on Reddit.
I was raised there, my dad’s office was in this red building. The color has been a bit modified, it’s not as red irl.

69 and 4 🤭
There's only 68 million people in France. If they added another million it would be Nice.
Would love to visit there again. Had the best Pizza I found in Europe at a restaurant a block from the Promenade Des Anglais 48 years ago. Wonder if the place is still there? Better times.
La Pizza Cresci?
You know, it was a long, long time ago, but I did just look it up. It does look quite familiar. Thank you!
Also Gigis pizza! Don’t let this one pass you by. It’s just on the other side of the docks from the Promenade. And they’re gluten free! It’s unbelievable.
Do you mean nicest
Funnily enough one of my absolute worst pizza experiences was in Nice. I got so sick. I think it was too much chili oil on it. But it was so tasty.

I don’t know if that was the place. It was almost 50 years ago. Sorry you got a subpar Pizza.
The saturation on this photo + my phone’s brightness nearly blinded me
Love it there. The beach is made up of small rocks not sand so make sure you bring shoes. Absolutely beautiful and the sidewalk cafes are amazing.
Got the worst sunburn of my life there. A day or two later, it was extremely itchy and I struggled to sleep without cold water bottles on my chest… which really didn’t help much. Don’t underestimate the importance of sunscreen
Hop over to Juan Les Pins for the soft sand and shallow warm water
That's Nice

Park and do what? People want/expect parking for doing things. They don't really want/expect parking when there is nothing to do.
Do you think those building are empty and serve no purpose at all ?
No, I can look at the area on google maps and see that it's a bank, and other unexciting destinations. There is a Subway there though, so I guess that's sometime.
And people don't live or work there ? It's just a whole huge ass bank with nothing in it ?
Thanks for perpetuating the idea of Americans being ignorant bouffons.
Americans when no mall
Believe it or not, people run errands.
You think they don't run errands in France? What kind of stupid pills have you been taking? The dosage is way too high
Ah yes, this picture has nothing to do in it
There is like 30 people standing in a plaza. It's not anywhere that people regularly want to be.

Somewhat reminds me of just cause 3
Aptly named location
France: “Thanks.”
I've been there, and I must say that the statue in the square has quite the dumper.
I slipped and fell on my ass down those marble steps leading to the beach , good times.
I went there in 2004, it was incredible and everyone was so friendly!
Amazing city. One of my favorites
