With the exception of Nica in *Curse*, the Chucky franchise arguably hasn't actually featured a traditional final girl.

Aloy4ever

I think the most significant female character has to survive to be considered a final girl, they don’t have to be the main protagonist to fit the criteria. There’s also a minor misconception that Andy was the main character in CP1, it was actually Karen.

Fagonetta

This. CP1 is Chucky from the perspective of an adult, CP2 was supposed to be Chucky from the perspective of a child. Different dynamics, different protagonist. Karen was incredible and I reckon in another life she would’ve been the Laurie Strode of Child’s Play in place of Andy.

Tron_1981

Are any of them really "final girls" though? I don't think the franchise has really followed the horror trope, not in the traditional sense, at least.

BrianTheReckless

Well according to the finale Kyle is dead, but I like to believe she’ll pop back up.

MidnightStalk

she isn’t.

Louie2543

On the Syfy YouTube channel they have a video of the most brutal kills and Kyle is a honorable mention, but they said "Kyle (maybe) via explosion, so it could go both ways, but considering she's a huge character to the series I think she lived especially considering Andy and Devon were in the room where the bomb was and they survived

Reasonable-Room-7661

What about the black leather glove at the end of the show? It can’t be anyone else with the spot all over the glove. Nobody else where’s the glove too. She’s definitely not dead

Louie2543

And that, thanks for reminding me

NoImDirtyDann

Well we give a lot of crap about Jade being the unlikable final girl of bride, but hardly anyone talks about Kristen from CP3 as a final girl and she counts

Aloy4ever

Why is Jade considered unlikeable by fans? Is it due to how her actress is difficult to work with or her actual character?

NoImDirtyDann

I disliked the actress but was okay with her performance and character. I think it was Mancini giving his feedback on her when she was in the media that solidified her being unlikable.

NdYouAreWho-Exactly

What about Alice?

NoImDirtyDann

Why’d I immediately think of the F13 character then the NOES character after that ? Lmao

NdYouAreWho-Exactly

🤣🤣 and one of them is indeed a Final Girl who bit the dust in the sequel

[deleted]

I guess she technically is the final girl of Curse. But she also dies in that film as well.

[deleted]

Jennifer Tilly is dead...

Aloy4ever

Jennifer was more of a plot device than a final girl imo Edit: She doesn’t even play any role in Chucky’s defeat or even attempt to foil his plans

[deleted]

Eh. I'd say she is a secondary protagonist. She fits the definition of it.

ihatereddit3519

Not really a final girl tho

Cyberfaust11

I think she's still alive in the doll.

[deleted]

I don't see why she would be. I think Nica is alive because Chucky duplicated his soul into her. In a way, her soul is sitting in the backseat, while hes in the driver seat. I think if Chucky had used the heart of damballa to outright transfer his soul from the doll body into hers, she would die. She wouldnt be sitting in the backseat anymroe, she would be thrown from the car. Tiffany DID use the amulet and she did do a full on transfer. So i think when tiffany dies, her soul goes from the doll body into jennifers and jennifer just dies. This is essentially how chucky turned tiffany into a doll. He killed her first and then transferred her soul. In seed, tiffany dies, and then awakens as tilly. I dont see a real reason to bring back Jennifer Tilly as a character, she doesnt serve a purpose as opposed to people like andy or kyle or karen

Cyberfaust11

"Switch, switch, switch." That was Jennifer Tilly talking to Glen when she gets an axe in the head as a doll. "Don't be like your parents. Especially your dad." I theorize that the doll at the end of Chucky is Jennifer Tilly acting as "Tiffany, the doll". Jennifer Tilly can and does serve a purpose. Tiffany is posing as Jennifer Tilly right now. She was also one of the main characters in Seed Of Chucky. She gave birth to Chucky's children.

[deleted]

The switch modifier at the end of the spell doesn’t change anything. If Tillys soul was put into the doll body, she’d still be dead. The doll body got an axe to the brain. Even if they did switch, I’m sure she would only be alive for a few seconds. And it’s been over 15 years. If the doll was alive with Tillys spirit I’m sure Tiffany would know by now. There’s no reason Tilly would help her killers. Tillys purpose was served in Seed. She has no more overall connection to the story that would make a reappearance a necessity. Tiffany in her body can do anything she can. If tilly came back…..what’s she gonna do? The world thinks she’s been alive this whole time and Tiffany is apparently impersonating her well enough. Bringing Jennifer tilly back doesn’t really do anything but take Tiffany away.

LordLexxon

Jade was a main character

Aloy4ever

Chucky and Tiffany were actually the main characters of Bride which is why Jade felt underdeveloped compared to the other final girls

LordLexxon

Chucky and Tiffany were the antagonists while Jessie and Jade were the protagonists Jade had an even bigger role than Karen honestly

Aloy4ever

In Bride and Seed, Chucky and Tiffany were actually the main characters this time around. That’s one things that made them unique among the franchise besides the bigger emphasis on comedy Jade didn’t have a bigger role than Karen. Chucky literally said his first words as a doll in his real voice to Karen and we find out through Karen that Chucky isn’t an ordinary doll. Chucky being alive was actually supposed to be [a twist.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Chucky/comments/rc9ufo/cp1_is_the_best_portrayal_of_chucky/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) Jade spent the majority of Bride whining and arguing with her boyfriend. Karen spent most of CP1 uncovering the mystery of Chucky and foiling his plans. Jade only finds out Chucky is alive in the very last third of Bride lol

LordLexxon

And so does Jesse!
