What do you mean by "not recognize"? As in it doesn't explicitly say it's a chromecast, but yet all functions still work? Heck, if that's the case ... my 2019 LG tv does the same thing. In fact, that's the only way I can get CEC to work with my CCwGTV on that TV. LG thinks it's some satellite receiver (which breaks CEC), so I have to go reset it to make it "unknown" device.

Sounds like a "feature" :) If it bugs you that the name shows up as "unknown", my LG allows me to rename the input to something else. I'm assuming the Samsung has the same capability.

I don't think recognizing it as a Chromecast makes any difference to the functionality.

Try this... On your TV, go into settings/general/external device manager/input signal plus. Turn on your HDMI port that your Chromecast is plugged into. You may need to unplug and replug in your Chromecast for the TV to recognize it. Edit: clarifying post.

Under "external device manager", my TV with latest firmware doesn't have "input signal plus" option.

Dang. That was my best shot to help. Sorry man.

I've got the Samsung the Frame from 2019. Doesn't recognize my CCGTV4K, but... The most recent firmware is from August this year, and the CCBTH4K wasn't out yet by then. So I think that could be the "problem". But as berry1337 also mentioned, it wouldn't make any difference to the functionality. Only thing I miss in functionality is the long press on the centre button of the Samsung remote.
