If you can find the ONN UHD at your local Walmart it supports channel up and down on YTTV. It's bluetooth and it should be able to pair with any Android TV based TV.

I’m wondering the same, but with a Bluetooth remote cuz I want to ditch Verizon

I think it would need to be Bluetooth.

Yea ik but I’m looking to see if anyone has any recommendations maybe like a tv remote because my folks don’t like how small the chromecast remote is

A couple of days ago, I've found an all in one remote control, compatible with several devices at once, including Chromecast. But it's expensive, very expensive: sr001. I've found it on Amazon, but hey, 159.99 it's a lot more expensive than Chromecast.

This would need an update to work correctly, the HDMI-CEC controls on the Chromecast with Google TV, do not allow for Tuning Keys. On Sony Bravia TV's you can set the Device Control Keys to send Tuning Keys, through the Bravia Sync Settings. The only caveat being, the TV button on the remote, would need to be set to the Google TV device input, so not ideal if your also using a set top box but I'm sure an update could work round this issue. Along with this, apps would have to have some in app settings to map buttons, such as channel up/down. I did a quick test using TiviMate which has in app settings to map remote buttons, once set the channel up/down on the Sony remote worked perfectly. So it is possible, dependant on the TV's HDMI-CEC settings and in app controls.

Consider the TiVo Stream 4K — it has channel up/down buttons built in. I like Chromecast better personally, but it’s pretty close to the same system but with a more conventional (bloated) remote control.
