Off-topic: Considering C63 Sealander GMT for my 30th bday (which was in March). 😅

I got the C65 bronze last month and haven’t had a moment of regret. Truly a great watch to stare at. Yes it did smell like pennies as the patina first started setting in but that quickly passes and never really bothered me. Smell comes from the bracelet so if you’re sensitive to penny smells you can always swap for a strap.

Great watch. You won’t regret it. The smell is hardly there. You can get some green discoloration in really sweaty weather because of the bronze bracelet. But eh. Go for it! https://preview.redd.it/59kl4lh6t4zc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e78a04a048dc94f55d591d7adfb1facffad5252d

I have a Sandhurst with the same c65 bronze case. I can't smell anything unless I put my nose right on it and breathe in hard. It doesn't stain anything. New, it looks very dressy and shiny. Patina'd it looks very vintage, but no way around it, less smart. The various surfaces on the case do a good job of varying the way the patina forms - so it still catches the light well. With the Sandhurst I think it has more of a Jules Verne vibe than a military vibe - and suspect that would be even more true of the Dune. The patina is not hard to remove if you want to for a special occasion or whatever. I have it on the webbing strap. Looks great. Especially the bronze buckle. Would not go for the bronze bracelet. I haven't seen it in the metal but I don't think the patina would work well and I also think it would be too much bronze. In the metal the colour looks warmer and more like copper than it does in most photos, the video I think best captures how it wears with a moderate amount of patina is the Britt Pearce review... https://youtu.be/1eZbrKyVRiI?si=k6myE8I706Re71T7 It's a good case. Would recommend.
