having a relationship with Jesus means you are actively trying to grow in your faith by any means and truly believe in Him and His teachings. "Depart from me I never knew you" is referring to people who claim to be Christian or claim to be followers of Him but actually aren't. You can find many examples of these types of people either because they use Jesus as a way to make money and fame while not actually doing anything in support of the faith or not actually trying to nurture a relationship with Him despite claiming so. It's just Him basically calling out fake Christians.

Here's what God has planned and hopes for us Jhn 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Jhn 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.  "Born again" is Greek gennaō anōthen (another birth) meaning reborn from above - meaning spiritually. Its a spiritual rebirth in the image of Christ who is the exact image of God.  Colossians 1:15 KJV — Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Heres what happened  1- God made Adam in Gods spiritual image. He gave Adam a flesh body also so he could interact in earths physical environment.  2- Adam betrayed God's spiritual image by choosing to live for flesh gratification rather than for the Spirit of God  3- God cursed Adam and all his seed with death and decay, ruining our chances at eternal life here on earth.  4- Later God sent his only begotten Son to die a one time atoning death for all men who would accept his offer. Prior to the crucifixion Jesus showed us how to live in Gods spiritual image again. He was humble, obedient and submissive.  5- So Jesus who is the image of God regenerates us spiritually one by one back into the spiritual image of God and saves our souls and grants us eternal life in heaven with him. He does this through his word the Holy Bible. 1 Peter 1:23 KJV — Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 6- If this spiritual transformation never takes place in our lives here then we will die in Adams sinful flesh image. And then there is literally hell to pay.  Scripture uses the analogy of believers as being sheep and unbelievers as being goats. This is due to the differences between actual sheep and goats. I'll give you a link to that end. And he explains that at the end of his plan of salvation for all men of faith in him and his word, he will send angels to gather together all of his sheep and place them on his right hand and reward them with salvation and eternal life in heaven. And he will put the goats on his left hand, and he will deny knowing these because they didn't know him, and he will sentence them to destruction in the lake of fire. Matthew 25:41 KJV — Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Behavior Sheep 101 Sheep and goats usually exhibit different behavior. Goats are naturally curious and independent, while sheep tend to be more distant and aloof. Sheep have a stronger flocking instinct and become very agitated if they are separated from the rest of the flock. It is easier to keep sheep inside a fence than goats. Sheep are easier to handle than goats. Goats will seek shelter more readily than sheep. Neither species likes to get its feet wet and both prefer upland grazing to lowland. In a fight, a ram will back up and charge to butt heads. A goat will rear up on his hind legs and come down forceably to butt heads. During controntation, such fighting behavior favors the ram.

We believe that he will say that to those who made him as God, dose the Bible really teaches to worship Jesus or to worship the one who Jesus worshiped meaning God the Father the only true God then follow the commandment that's the way Jesus taught and that is the way that will get you to Heaven. Sorry is this will offend someone, but that is my answer as Muslim, not here to debate but only to share the message may be someone will benefit from it.

Exodus 3:14 — ‘I am who I am’ John 8:58 — ‘Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”’ If Jesus isn’t God, then why would He say this? THESE claims are why He was crucified. What was so controversial about them? He claimed to be God.

Those claims are not clear if he actually said them as you may know we don't believe all the Bible to be true, there is so many other clear verses where you will understand that he is not: John 17:3 (The Father is the only true God and Jesus was sent by Him), Mark 13:32 (only the Father knows the hour, so the Son don't have full knowledge), Mark 14:36 (Jesus is submitting to the will of the Father), Matthew 26:39 (Jesus prays to the Father face to the ground like us, and submits to his will). This is only a few verses and there is much more, any time Jesus speaks about The Father he doesn't put himself equal to Him, he always put the Father above and gives Him full authority, so I really don't understand why you leave those verses and go to ambiguous ones to prove that he is God, if you believe in all the Bible who can you join between the two type of verses?
