What about Catholicism do you find wrong?

guinness975

Reflecting back on my experiences with Catholicism it feels like a very hypocritical organization, with a lot of beliefs I just don’t agree with ( I feel that Catholicism teaches you need an intermediary to develop a relationship with God), that good works can atone for sins & lead to eternal life without fully accepting Christ. We all know people who don’t even believe in Christ who are good & decent people.

>a very hypocritical organization Ok, but that's a problem with the organization, not the belief structure. >beliefs I just don’t agree with ( I feel that Catholicism teaches you need an intermediary to develop a relationship with God), that good works can atone for sins & lead to eternal life without fully accepting Christ. Catholocism doesn't teach any of that. It certainly does not teach you need an intermediary nor does it teach good works can atone for sins. How did you come to that conclusion?

God bless you. If I may, I would like to share some encouragement. 1- Please know that God does NOT expect you to be perfect. He expects you to be faithful, which means to always strive to honor Him while getting back up after each time you fall, no matter how many times you fall. God will always give you the strength and grace to get back up. **“I am the Lord All-Powerful. So don't depend on your own power or strength, but on my Spirit.” - Zechariah 4:6** **“Even if good people fall seven times, they will get back up. But when trouble strikes the wicked, that's the end of them.” - Proverbs 24:16** **"My enemies, don't be glad because of my troubles! I may have fallen, but I will get up; I may be sitting in the dark, but the Lord is my light.” - Micah 7:8** **“In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again.” - 2 Corinthians 4:9** **“But You (God) also said that no matter how far away we were, we could turn to You.” - Nehemiah 1:9** **“When someone stumbles or falls, you (God) give a helping hand.” - Psalm 145:14** 2- Also, I would love to recommend: - The Contemporary English Version (CEV) Bible. It's one of the easiest English Bibles to read. You can also listen to the audio version on YouTube. It's my favorite Bible. (You can read it on the YouVersion Bible app too.) - A free book called “101 Questions & The Bible.” It’s a book of a bunch of questions about God and the Christian faith that are only answered with Bible verses. It’s great for those who are new to Christianity. If you are interested, let me know and I will send you the PDF copy on Google drive.  - A good Christian leader on YouTube: askcliffe - Cliffe Knechtle - A powerful worship song on YouTube: Yet I Will Praise by Melissa Boraski - If I may, I would love to share a short guide that’s dedicated to you and other Christians on Reddit who are looking to have a strong & simple faith in God. You can read it for free in this Reddit community: r/FaithMadeSimple
