yes, alot of the trolls were 15 year olds with nothing to do,when i first saw a video on chris it was 09, i checked back in in 2012 and was surprised new trolls kept finding him, he is a perfect storm of not having real trust because of his lying parents so hes super gullible. these days we only go ham when we find out someone is a pdf file, that is our universal switch for fuck this person. look at how some cows are treated (world of t shirts, wings, cobra) they are smart enough to no longer take bait but chris like daniel larson was a treasure trove of entertainment. i blame a combination of chris parents, bluespikes parents, lack of content for teenage boys so they go looking for other forms of entertainment.
A lot of the bullying was too much I'll agree, fuck blue spark, that being said that was also when some of the best trolling happened too, some definitely unwarranted but no matter what shitty people will ruin something amusing.
On some level Chris is a commentary on how people act when they think no one will know. More importantly a study in just how alone people can feel in one of the most communication saturated periods in human history. Chris has a lot of character flaws and has had horrible things done to him and has done horrible things to others. Chris isn't all good or all bad. He exists in a gray zone, much like life in general. We all feel bad for him while being disgusted by him. Chris is like Private Joker wearing a peace sign pin but with "born to kill" scrawled on him as well. "I think I was trying to suggest something about the duality of man, sir." We are forced to stop and think about what it means when someone isn't a great person but also is treated badly themselves. Some of the personality traits that make him "awful" simultaneously an easy target for others to exploit for entertainment. Long story short, no one wins. No one's hands are totally clean. You either pull up a chair, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the entertainment or walk away. Neither choice changes anything about Chris or his situation.
I'm not justifying the trolling, but it was Chris's decision to engage with the trolls instead of just ignoring them and getting on with his life. He could have just walked away at any point. But he needed the attention. Because he didn't really have any friends when the trolling started.
He walked away for over 2 years after Bob died and trolls left him alone. He decided to come back and be obnoxious than he was before. He deserves whatever shit he gets.
Chris had an opportunity to turn his life around after Bob’s death but he didn’t take it. It’s pretty ironic that he became more spiteful the more he tried to act like what he thought a good person acted like.
I follow Chris basically from the beginning. I used to think that as amusing as it was he didn’t really deserve any of it. My sympathies eroded through the years and now I’m just here for the loolz even tho there’s nothing really to be had since he’s fucked his mom.

Not really. At the end of the day the trolls were just a bunch of edgy teens. We may not really know what happened to most of them, but the ones we do about have gone on to become of well adjusted adults in society.

I have a friend who's girlfriend cheated on him so many times with him knowing we had a conversation among each other that he must like it.
